you sound proper motivated LoChan keep it up!

woohoo on the cook books too, I use a website quite often you can just type in an ingredient eg chicken or curry or pork chop etc and it comes up with all relevant in the database. Lots can be adapted if they are not already sw friendly, I found a really nice chinese 5 spice marinade that I use on my pork chops, tis yum :) and free!

I won't be doing much else for the next three days but it feels good to have made the effort and got plenty of exercise in while I had the time, instead of making excuses and hiding indoors all weekend like I usually do :)

It was getting towards too hot really but I enjoyed a zzapp ice lolly towards the end of my walk, was really yummy and just 5.5 syns, bargain!

I'm trying to make that strawberry mousse I told you about with jelly and yog but it's not wanting to set so it might end up in the bin... going to make the sw cherry almond clafoutis tom'ow as tues/wed is my danger time of the week so best to prepare some low syn goodies I reckon, don't want any blips or foodgates this week :D

Oh I've used that site now and again when it comes up in google searches - I like that it has ratings and reviews, the tips in those usually work better than the original recipe :)

I intend to hold on to this enthusiam for as long as poss :) And when it wears off I'll have these posts to look back on to remind me that SW and exercise makes me really happy when I've got my head on straight :D

Food diary for Monday (Day 32 GREEN)

B: Shreddies (hexb), almond milk (from hexa), banana.

L: Quorn keema curry & tilda kids vegetable rice (3 syns). Mullerlight.
Quorn Keema Curry.jpg

D: Cheese and onion potato pie (hexa), baked beans, broccoli & cauliflower.
Cheese & onion 'pie'.jpg

S: Hifi bar (hexb), Zzapp lolly (5.5 syns), fruit bag, Danio peach yog (3 syns), plum (it was a tart little b00ger!), almond milk latte with amaretto syrup (hexa & 2 syns), curly wurly (6 syns).

By the by if people were wondering, I'm aiming for around 20 syns a day atm, it seems to work alright for me while I've still got a lot to lose. If things start going wrong I'll look to cut them back down to around 15 per day :)

wow Lo food looks amazing :) I actually miss some of the sw recipes so might dig out my huge file of them for inspiration. I know I don't follow it anymore but most are just healthy recipes :D

Well done on the 1lb loss. 1lb is 1lb don't be disappointed. Keep going and likely a bigger one next week :D x

Urgh, day from hell at the childminding mill. Exorcist baby with neon orange projectile v, a 7 month old trying to walk/climb everywhere constantly falling over and three syblings fighting all day long over toys.

7 kids in total and it's boiling hot, guess that made them worse *sigh*

Eh wells, on my way home now and it's a rest day on the squat challenge so can spend my eve going through those cookery books and catching up properly on minis. Had a mini spree in tesco and bought a to-slim-into tunic top/dress and a cute bag, will take pics and post later :)

Oh dear, not my thing I'm afraid, well done for getting through it. I wouldn't know what to do with them!

Drown them lol

Nah, we ended up putting the big ones out in the garden to play with the water tryay/sandpit combo. Poor sickly one had to keep bathing her cause it was going all over the place, three changes of clothes. She kept wanting cuddles mid-throw up and I had to be like 'I can't I've only got the clothes I'm wearing' :(

Three of them are finishing today as their mum is off uni for the summer so it'll be a lot easier with just four little ones during the day. Unless someone else rings us up and wants a place. I do enjoy the job but I'm glad I've only got the one of my own at home after today lol

Wages are good enough for me :) When parents choose to pay me that is

I would like to be a Teaching Assistant in the future and classes nowadays are around 30 kids so I suppose 7 isn't so bad, or it's good training at least lol

sounds like the right thing to do, Hope it keeps working :)

Me too lol It's nice to have the extra 'room' if I need it :)

yes agree with the 20 syns, you want to leave yourself some room to move later as you get closer to target

I'm always pointing this out to people too who don't use syns much, especially when they're just starting out. They do you good to use them and it's better have those to cut down on as you get closer to target rather than overrestricting your free/superfrees :)

I have FINALLY found your diary :D I'm off to nosy :p xx

Feel free you're most welcome to nosey hun. Enjoy the food porn :D xx

Thanks Jackie - I did the decent thing and rewarded myself with a new bag to celebrate the 1st milestone, it does me good to remember my overall results and not focus on the indivual lbs :)

Indeed, you can't knock some of the SW recipes out there :) The portions are a big oversized sometimes though, especially from the magazine. It sounds so weird hearing myself say that about food but I guess it shows I'm learning something :D

I got paid my wages I was owed for last week so of course that meant I could enjoy the minisplurge at tesco guiltfree :D

This is the top I bought:

Mini goal top.jpg

I'm really getting a thing for red and this caught my eye in amongst the sale items - only £7! It's a size 20 and I can't get it over my arms atm (I'm wearing 26/28 tops currently) so when it fits I'll -know- that I'm getting smaller so that's something I'm looking forward to. Because I promise you, it WILL fit me soon enough :)

Also bought this bag as a 1 stone sticky reward:

1 stone reward bag.jpg

It's a lovely yellow lemon with bright pink on the inside, again in the sale for just £5. It just looked so cheerful and summery and I think it'll give my mood a real boost whenever I use it :)

Was meant to be doing a green day today but I decided I had to have chicken teriyaki kebabs off the market for lunch. Having to guess at the syns but the meat was lean so it's probably just a few for the marinade (maybe 6 syns = 3tbsp marinade according to sw online). They were bloomin' lovely too :D

sounds like a reasonable syn estimate, love the purchases, especially the bag you are right it is so cheery!

You have my respect with the childcare too, I have a long running relationship with my childminder, we are friends now so much more than just a business arrangement. She looked after my daughter from 7 months old right up until just last year when she was almost 8, and my son will be going there too. Childcare is completely undervalued in this country, often as much by individual parents as well as society and I just don't get it! hope you sent the sick one home by the way! x

Loving the bag!!! It's such a cute little thing! I really like the new top too, and really admire you for buying it in a smaller size and for finding the belief that you will soon wear it! You absolutely will. When I lost the 9 stone, it was the belief that I could that got me there.

Lol @ food porn! Oooooer haha. Speaking of food porn my tea was FIT! Nom-age xx

Poorly baby did go home early and is having a day off with her mum tom'ow to be on the safe side :)

My mum's been childminding for 24 years and I've worked as a casual assistant since I was 16 (nearly 13 years ) and we have had some lovely families like yours - in a couple of cases we've had their child from 6 months/1yr right up to 11 and then they have another baby and we have the new ones start while their older sibling leaves our setting to go to high school, others recommend us to their relatives so we end up with lots of cousins coming to us aswell. That's partly why I chose to work with my mum rather than get started up on my own as the relationships have all been built up there :)

FIT food :8855:

I'm keeping the top hanging up on my wardrobe so I see it everyday - I've done this before with a gorgeous jacket (which also doesn't fit right now but will again) and it's a really good motivator. I think once I do fit into it I'd better buy something smaller to hang in it's place so that I keep on going :D
