Lou's Diary - onwards and inwards!

Thanks both. I think exercise helps for 2 reasons - 1) it gets me out the house when i finish work at 2pm, therefore don't get bored and eat and 2) it does help with weight loss, but it took a while to show results on scales.

Also - an added bonus, I feel fantastic after I've been out and really pushed myself, I'm buzzing when I come home. A month ago the most exercise I did was walk to fridge and back!

Well done. I went to the garage at the weekend and found my bike without its two wheels on!!! My bro had stolen them for his bike which is too high for me to get on!

The cheeky so and so!! I'd make him buy you a new bike now. Hehe.

Red day today
B: 42g crunchy bran and pineapple (1B)
S: Apple
L: Tuna salad with salad cream (2 syns)
D: Pizza express with the girls - probably chicken salad and diet coke

I'm so tired at the moment, am on my set of 7 days at work and struggling to see the light. xxxxx

Afternoon peeps, just a quick bike challenge update... I've only managed 70 miles so far, as I couldn't get out last weekend because it was too hot.

I started my challenge on the 5th of May, so instead of 100 miles in May, I'm going to go for a 100 miles in a month. That way I should achieve my goal.

Am a sweaty mess at the min, so need to chill out for 10 mins then jump in shower and get ready for my night out with the girls. Yipeee.

Back from dinner with girls - they've gone on to bars and club but I'm working tomorrow so had to come home.

We went to pizza express...... we shared garlic bread and dough balls between 3 of us, I had two dough balls and a tiny bit of garlic bread. I then had chicken salad with roasted vegetables with balsamic vinegar, didn't realise it came with dough sticks....arrgh, managed to avoid eating all four, but did eat two. Oh well, I've only had 1 other syn today so fingers crossed it won't do too much damage.

B: 42g crunchy bran and pineapple (1B)
S: Apple
L: Tuna salad with salad cream (1 syn)

Saturday - red day
B: 42g crunchy bran (1B)
S: Apple
L: Ham, tomato and pickled onion salad
S: Grapes and 8 mikados (4 syns)
D: Chicken salad (5 syns)

That will be 4 salads in 2 days, may possibly look like a lettuce soon xxx

Hiya, another beautiful day, just wish I was a bit smaller so I didn't get so hot and uncomfortable... oh well.

Green day today and strangely I feel sooo hungry? Back to red tomorrow..

S: Apple
L: M&S Giant cous cous salad with butternut squash (5.5 syns) and an alpen light bar (3 syns)
S: 2 satsumas and mugshot

I'm looking forward to my pasta, but also want to get back to red, who would have thought I'd start preferring red to green? Think it's because salads are so easy and yum in the summer...

Blaaah, that's how I feel today. I don't know what is wrong with me, I just feel down in the dumps?

I've been snappy with my other half, took myself off for a bath at just before 7pm as I was bored, I just want to eat? I don't know why, I've not been on my bike for almost a week so maybe it's that?

I've got plenty of stuff to do round the house, but can't seem to find any enthusiasm from anywhere. Arrrgh.

Will be off on my bike tomorrow after work, which will hopefully cheer me up :sigh:

I'm really pleased that I'm losing weight and have felt great these last few weeks, full of confidence etc, but I looked at myself in the mirror before and realised I'm still really fat and have a hell of a long way to go, ok I've lost 18lbs which is great, but I just want it all now!

Will go and have a word with myself now and will be back to cheery Lou tomorrow xxxxx

ahh chin up lou lots of love to you , like you say your doing great so far and its something to be proud of and think if you werent doing sw would you have lost 18lbs in the same time frame bet you i know the answer and it aint yes xxxxx
im sure not getting out in the fresh air with the wind in your hair has a lot to answer for (i suffer depression and am told outdoorsy stuff is best for lifting mood) so im sure after your ride you'll soon feel better
keep up the great work hun xxx
i always keep an eye out for you see how youre doing we started simmilar times and weights and similar goals too if i remember correctly.
i too am struggling and have tried to go over to red to see what difference it makes hoping a good one (had a gain this week) and previously sts two weeks running, its all gotta turn back round and soon xxxx

hugs hun, you have done so well..you will get there!! I think all of us get a little down in the summer becuase all i see is skinny minnies in hotpants with the perfect figure and theres me a sweaty mess layered up. Dont be to hard on yourself..Emx

You're doing fine hun and think you're being a little harsh on yourself. You're already a pretty lass and you know you're getting there.

If you feel you're avoiding getting back on your bike go for a lovely long walk with the other half, get some fresh air together. Want that cheery Lou back :)
