Lou's Diary - onwards and inwards!

Lou,

Sometimes it takes time to catch up. With my loss I found I lost in cycles, and if you look at your losses over the last 8 weeks, every 4 weeks starting from week 1 you get a good loss. This coincides with our * weeks too. I bet you will have a good loss next week. Hang on in there chick - keep up the exercise as think of all the benefits your getting from it from a non-weight loss perspective!

Good luck for this week hun. xxx

Thanks for your support girlys, I'd better see a decent drop next week or the will be trouble. Am going to throw in a few red days this week again to shock my body.

Green day today though as nothing in for red..
B: 42g crunchy bran
S: Chopped strawberries
L: Salad box from canteen (4 syns for mayo)
S: Apple
S: Chocolate (12 syns)
D: Veggi chilli

Dragged my sorry bum out on bike again today, and can't quite believe how much my fitness has improved. Believe me... I was very unfit, I'd sweat bucket loads at any more than a medium walk etc. This is the 6th time I've been out on my bike in 10 days, and I've gone from taking an hour (to do 6 miles) to 37 minutes today. Yay me.

Anyway, enough kissing my own bum.... (just wish the above would help with my blimming WIs).

Thursday - Green
B: 42g crunchy bran and pear (1B)
S: Celery sticks and apple
L: Jacket potato and baked beans
S: Pear
D: Pasta with roast cherry tomatoes, peppers and sweet chilli sauce (3 syns) and cheese (1B)

Yeah, it's all about the fruit and veg - however, at work today they were trying to tell me I'm eating too much fruit and therefore thats why I'm not losing weight???

B: 42g crunchy bran and pineapple
S: Fresh pineapple chunks and yogurt
L: Chicken lasagna** (gross, gross, gross - see below) (10 syns and 1A)
S: LF crisps and alpen light bar (4 syns and 0.5B)
D: SW chips and beans
S: Alpen light bar (0.5B)

** Lasagna - urrgh, long story, but canteen did roast chicken legs etc on Wednesday, seemed to be loads left. Anyway, Thursday it was 'spanish' chicken, e.g. the left over chicken legs put in a bowl in a tomato sauce with olives... didn't seem that popular either.

So today, I go to the canteen and think... ohh, chicken lasagna sounds different, I'll try it, as she was putting it on my plate I spied the olives in it, therefore realised it was Wednesday's chicken and had been cooked 3 times (and left on hot plate) but it was too late to say nooo, plus they charged me £2.25 for it, therefore I ate it, and won't be suprised if I'm ill.

Grrgh xx Off on bike now even though my bums sore for the hard seat x

oh god! chicken lasagna sounds gross! ignore the people at work fruit doesn't stop you losing weight. infact if they saw most of what we eat they'd have something to say about it. tell em to sod off! lol

you're in for a great loss next week i reckon! ;)

You can never have enough fruit! All the health benefits, and food and SW say it speeds up weight loss so you work colleagues need to shut it! :D

Re chicken lasagne: Me being Me, I would have said take the lasagne back it's 3 days old, is an environmental disaster on a plate, and it should be in the bin! I truly hope you aren't ill as you will be sick, sick and sick!

I think your menu's and fruit balance is just right Lou.... if they think at work that you eat a lot of fruit they should see what I snaffle every day!

Hope you enjoy your bike ride!

Ah Lou am so proud of you!! You little exercise princess, biking away like a trooper. You will be benefiting some of the most annoying parts of the body to shift weight from. You'll have wonderful toned legs and it will mean other exercise will be easier because of your lower body strength.

Don't worry about the losses because your body will show the truth, don't forget to get out that measuring tape after 8 weeks or so, it'll cheer you up I'm positive!

Is good to see you're still on the wagon.

Lovely to see you back kiki and well done on the 3lbs loss too! Not sure about the toned legs as they are covered in brusies at the moment - haven't quite got the hang of the pedals!

Chicken lasagna - thankfully I've not had any side affects from it yet Suki, normally I'd have taken it back, but only 3 people work there and they are all soooo nice and know the canteen is struggling to make money etc, but still - 3 times cooking is naughty!!

Am off to a boat regatta today.. hehe, we're going to sit in a pub beer garden on the river and watch it all, just hope the weather is nice, then it's off to the cinema to watch hot tub time machine (boyfriend's choice).

RED DAY - OMG
B: Yogurt, pear and coffee
L: Grilled cherry tomatoes on toast with balsamic vinegar (1B)
D: Massive steak and salad at pub (6 syns for 2 onion rings?)
S: Grapes at cinema and 2 alpen lights (1B)

Day didn't quite go as planned....... first of all.. took my bike to be looked at and they said the front brake is rubbing etc and needs a service, therefore I won't have my bike back until Monday afternoon!!

Second - was cloudy so went to regatta later on for my much awaiting steak, but they weren't doing food as it was so busy, so had to go to the cinema hungry........... the film was ok, but a 6 out of 10 at best. Just had chickpea dahl and rice, with 2 barjees and a mini naan - oops.
Green day..

B: Pear and yogurt
L: 1 Toast with cherry tomatoes and bacon (1B - one slice toast and tiny bit bacon)
S: Grapes and dolly mix (10 syns)
D: Chickpea dahl, rice, 2 barjees, 1 mini naan bread (million syns but better than the KFC we were going to have)

xxxx

Still missing my bike but get it back tomorrow.... bit of an "all over the place" day today...

Red
B: Scrambled eggs and grilled cherry tomatoes
L: Digestive biscuit!!!!!!!!!!(3 syns)
S: 2 dry crackers and jelly (3 syns and 0.5 syns)
D: Turkey skewers with red pepper, yellow pepper, mushrooms, onions and cherry tomatoes, served with jacket potato and salad (1B)
S: 2 alpen light bars (1B)

I'm not using my B's up very well at the moment, It's 19.10 now and I'm not hungry at all and don't want any more food... should probably have had a hifi bar instead of the crackers but was away from home. Grrgh. xx
