Hope you feel better soon hun, I can relate to it.. I recommend benylin mucus cough syrup it really helped me... Hhmm I am also starting to think I should get in on this green tea malarky x

Def going to get some benylin cough syrup! Going to docs today as I want a nose spray that only they prescribe, I think my chest is clear, so think its just my nose dripping down my throat making me cough and almost pee myself.. Lol

I don't think I can be trusted with toast, as I just want to keep eating it - even if it is whole grain! So will not be having any at breakfast, and only sometimes at lunch or dinner..

So today I have had porridge with apricots and prunes added, plus 2tsp brown sugar - I have ordered some sweet freedom as I could not find any in the supermarket, let's hope it comes soon :) don't feel hungry or have the desire to make and eat more porridge like I do with toast! Let's see how the rest of today goes :)

If I don't get any crazy cravings then I know porridge is a good breakfast for me :) as I can't always have eggs and bacon etc for breakfast! I am discovering if I have a good breakfast (no toast) then I tend to have a good day food wise!! Enlightenment wow!! Lol

Doc gave me steroids for 5 days, plus antibiotics for 7 days, plus have got benylin chesty cough syrup .. So by next week will be cold and cough free :) and need to take my inhaler every 4 hours too

Let's see if I have the same reaction to the steroids as I did last time I had them lol

Oooh they will make you better quickly but will increase your appetite x

Ok no crazy cravings today, so porridge work well for breakfast :)

Feeling bit weird, buzzy from the steroid tablets - last time had issues sleeping, talking too fast and brain running in circles lol also retained water and was more hungry ..

Appt tomorrow with specialist, just hope they have the report of my MRI!! Otherwise I will be soooooo cross!!

Hun if you don't sleep tonight, ring your docs and check if you can start your antibiotics after your steroid course.. Sometimes they react with each other, well they do with me ... I know that wired feeling... X. X

I felt the same way last time too - my OH said it was like I was just doing everything faster than normal lol he said it was funny lol I've started both today, so will just carry on

Still waiting for my appt.. Was at 10am so they must be running late.. Big butterfly in my tummy!

Had my appt, off to pre- opp- assessment now, as I have loads wrong with my shoulder lining and a type 2 slap tear.. Loads of big words that I need to google to understand lol opp within 20 weeks

Have to go back for another pre-assessment next Tuesday after I'm off the steroids and antibiotics as they said I was not fit at present :(

Specialist said continue with the kettle bells as a strong shoulder has a much better recovery time :) so off to class tonight :)

Least you are one step closer to getting sorted out hun, how's the chest? x

The chest is So much better just from the steroids so by my appt Tuesday I had better be better!!! No probs with breathing at kettlercise class tonight :)

Off to my HIIT boot camp class this morning :) not sure how my running will be as my legs still a bit sore :)

Ok was a good work out but not much running as leg is um.. Sore lol glad I took my kettle bell (5lb) so that I could still do stuff while they were all running! Burnt 444 kcals in 65 mins

Ok I have been unable to log in since yesterday!! Only just got back in!! Alright!

Oh I am not in a good place today, panicking about how to cope after operation, I will have 4 weeks, where I can't move my shoulder/arm
no driving, no lifting, can't wash my hair need help with a shower, going to loo.. Can't cook, iron, ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Plus need help with school /pre-school run .. Maybe we can't go on holiday that's already booked and paid for!! No flying for 4-6 weeks afterwards, then physio appts for 6-8 mths - don't know when I can drive again.. Bang bang on the brick wall...

Ok feel bit better now!

Have been phoning cleaners, childcare people - OH will need to work overtime from now so that we can save up for the help I will need as my SILs can only help a little, 1st 7-10 days will be the hardest and I will need some one home with me and youngest son all day..

Oh dear! I can really empathise with you there, as my knee op has left me in the same circumstances, on crutches and unable to do anything. I can't even get out of the house, lol. It has been amusing watching my husband and daughter trying to do everything around the house - the kitchen looks like a bomb's gone off! On the plus side, it sounds like you're way fitter than I am (and probably much younger!) so I'm sure you'll adapt quickly to different ways of doing things.

Just resign yourself to having to take things easy, watching lots of daytime TV and catching up on reading! Surround yourself with low calorie snacks, and watch things like Biggest Loser to keep motivated on the weight loss front, lol.

All the very best - I'm sure you'll cope with it all admirably. xx

Well Today (whole week) was a write off food wise!! Am really grumpy with myself! I know what I should be doing.. Just not doing it :(

Plan:
B: porridge with dried fruit pls tsp brown sugar
Snack: yogurts, almonds 5-10 (over day) spelt crackers with 1/2 laughing cow, boiled egg (once I buy some) eaten over the day!

L; salad with meat???? Could be out visiting
D: chickpea curry, with eggs or red lentil curry..

I must remember that eating lentils and chickpeas is great!!

Drink more water less diet coke!!!
1/2 plate veggies and 1/4 plate meat 1/4 plate Low GI carbs
