MWWWD (or Moonwatcher's Weight Watchers Diary!)

Yeah, it's quite amazing isn't it? Tiny fossils, bits that looked like sponges to me (?), crystals, bits of shells, crab claws, all sorts. The thing that really amazed me was the colours - I mean, it's beige isn't it?

... and look at this one with the heart shaped piece!

Wow it is pretty amazing, thanks for sharing :0)

Stole the first one from a friend's Facebook, but have googled for some more because it's just so fascinating. Will never look at sand in quite the same way again!

Have just booked to go to Mambo Jambos for late lunch tomorrow. Menu is http://www.mambojamborestaurant.com/mambos_lunch_menu.pdf

It will be after WI, but we're back to work next week and hubby will probably want to go out over the weekend too, so I mustn't go too mad on points. I'm thinking of going for the Prawn and Chorizo Salad, probably Blue Cheese dressing (dressing not brilliant, but not as bad as sour cream, guacamole and grated cheese!) If I was having a tortilla I would most likely have the Prawns and Chorizo, so it's all the taste without using points on a wrap. I love Chorizo and Blue Cheese, so it will feel like a treat anyway...might have the steak salad though... probably ought to have the chicken one!

Wow that menu is making my mouth water!! Yummy xxx

Thursday August 30th

Woo hoo - money in the bank again! Can't spend much of it 'cos hubby has decided he 'needs' a bike cape, balaclava, moped cover and a huge roll of black plastic! The first two are for riding his new moped, the cover speaks for itself and the black plastic is to kill weeds in our veg plot, ready for next year. I'll be glad when this moped starts saving us money, which is what we bought it for in the first place! Lol.

Anyway, we went to the beach (again!) How different from earlier in the week! Really high tides and rough seas! Went to a café in Walcott. We've been there a few times before and during the day it's very much a 'burgers and breakfast' type place, so I was preparing myself for something with eggs - maybe poached eggs on toast. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they do an evening menu, with Salmon, New Pots and Salad!

Breakfast - Porridge - Total 6PP - 1oz Porridge Oats (3PP), quarter pint of SS Milk (2PP), 2 teaspoons Sugar (1PP)

Lunch - Aldi White Choc Chip Cereal Bar (2PP)
- didn't have much as I knew we were eating again at 6.00pm ish, and wasn't sure what I would be using pointswise, and also because the porridge really filled me up!

Dinner - Cajun Salmon, New Potatoes, Coleslaw and Salad, Mocha Coffee - Total 17PP -
oven roasted Cajun Spiced Salmon Fillet (6PP), 4oz New Potatoes (2PP), Mixed Salad (0PP) small spoonful Coleslaw - gave rest to hubby (2PP), in exchange for one of his Onion Rings! (2PP), tbspn Salad Cream (1PP), small Mocha (4PP?). Honestly I was like a cat with two tails at being able to choose Salmon, New Pots and Salad as it wasn't what I was expecting at all!

Snacks - small slice of Coffee Cake (didn't eat it all) (5PP)

Drinks - NAS squash, Mocha counted above, Coffee on Cromer Pier (with the Coffee Cake!) - with two Creamers (1PP)
Hmmm - usually have cream in my coffee at home - might have to see if I can buy some of these creamers as I didn't realise they would save me a point each time. OK, it's only a point a day, but no sacrifice on flavour, and they don't go off like a carton of cream might, and I can spend that point on some other yumminess...

Totals for the day - 31PP, 29 dailies and 2 over - from APs again. Not worried about that - have had two meals out, and takeaway chips this week, so I'm quite happy to come in using just 3 APs for the week. I've also walked miles so if the scales aren't on my side tomorrow, well then yaboo sucks to them! I've been on 'holiday!'
APs earned today 3 for a half hour walk - would probably have been longer if the waves hadn't been crashing over the sea wall!
Total APs for the week - 35, 3 of which have been used, balance = 32

Good luck for WI tomorrow xxx

Well done you with all that walking!
Hope the WI tomorrow is a good one ... :fingerscrossed: !

Thanks. I'll probably sleep with my fingers crossed! :(

Btw..when I had an allotment I would use old bits of carpetting for weed killing. Theres always someone wanting old carpet taken away. Works really well and saves money!

Yep, we did think about carpet for it - have used it before, but decided on the black plastic in the end, because after we take it up from the beds we're going to use it again under the new gravel paths, instead of a weed fabric, so it's sort of paying for itself that way. We have really neglected the garden and veg plot this year - I didn't grow any veg at all. Normally even in a 'quiet' year I grow tomatoes, chillis, runners, courgettes, radishes, lettuces, beetroots, turnips and cues at the very least. I've missed not being able to go down the garden and pick bits and pieces.

Great idea MW... Gosh I miss all those delish fresh home grown veg...Used to have a damson tree on the allotment as well..and rhubarb, strawberries, raspberries and a couple of wee apple trees!.. :sigh:

There's nothing quite like home-grown is there? We have rhubarb and raspberries, plus red and blackcurrants and a gooseberry bush. None of our fruit did very well this year though - our plum tree had five plums (we usually get pounds and pounds) and they all fell off before ripening. I think a late frost got to the blossom. Damson jam - I remember my mum making it - lovely flavour.

It's 2.05am and I've just realised the time! It is tomorrow! Not going to weigh in until after I've had a sleep though!

You dirty stop up lol
Plenty of exercise done, yup the weather sure is changing and the sea matches it!
Lol at yaboo sucks,am sure you will be fine come wi oh and the first line of what you need to spend your money on made me think your hubby was going to give Batman a run for his money lol :0)
