my diary ~ no more CD for me

I am feeling slightly better than yesterday but still not good. It's been another long day, didnt get home ill 20 to 6 tonight (usually home between 4 and 4 30) because there was so much to do.
My poor baby (oldest son) isn't well, and my poor nephew was beaten up by 3 lads tonight, there was £50 missing from the till so all is not well for everyone. On a positive note though, new woman at work says she has been offered another job and is going to take it. Best all round if you ask me. Didn't think she'd last long.
I have a terrible inability to ss while not feeling well. i neeed to eat real food to make my throat feel a bit better. However I hardly have anything in the house. apart from soup. The kids arent happy.
Got another valentines card today. when i got to work it was lying on the floor so someone had put it through the letterbox. It said "be mine...you know it makes sense... ?" first time in my life I get 2 surprise valentines cards!!! lol.
Kazz you're right I probably would have been home when hecame with my card if it hadn't been for the inspector, unless he came in the morning because he knew I left for work the same time as him and my house is kind of on the way to his wrk (with a slight detour). Oh well too late now. Neither of us have asked about seeing each other again but I think I might suggest it tomorrow or something. What do you think? lol should I wait for him to ask or just go for it?

I dont think the builders would be that subtle Kazz. Had one offering to gie me a cuddle yesterday cos I wasn't well. I told him i just wanted to go home to bed so he said he'd gladly take me! they're all that subtle!!!!
anyway, its been a week now that I've been ill. My niece came out in spts yesterday so she has the dreaded chcken pox. I hope I dont have the same thing. I'm trying to work out when i was last exposed to it. I definately was on my birthday, and my friends daugher (nieces friend also (the daugher, not my friend(oh how confusing))) had it at some point but I cant remember when it was anyway. the incubation period for it is supposedly between 10 and 21 days so it could be about right for me to have it from when i started feeling ill last week. aargh!! I could just have cold but its a bad one, the lemsip thingies arent making any differece and my glands are all swollen. My eldest son hasn't been well either but he goes to school with my niece and hangs round with all the same people so could have easily caught it at the same time as her. I suppose we'll know if we get spotty wont we. Last time we all had it was when my twins were babies, maybe about 9 months old, my eldest was 12 months older and my niece was 9 month solder than him(still is funnily enough) my sister and her older son also had it at the same time. what a nigtmare that was all 7 of us having it together. that was the 2nd time me and my sister had it, this is the 2nd time for my niece, so you can't tell me you can only get it once it's just not true. One of my twins ot a secndary infection when he had it and my eldest got another infection afterwards, it was awful. His skin changed colour he had patches of white red and grey. He looked like he'd been seriously beaten up. The drs at the hospital didn have a clue what it was and just told us to use calamne lotion which made him scream in pain and he had a really high temperature. I think we took him bck about 4 times before they worked out what was wrong with him (found it in a book) and then said they could do nothing for him and he just had to get it out of his system. poor baby, glad its obviously not common (they would have known what it was if it were common wouldnt they).
anyway... had to go out shopping for food. didnt want t but had nothing in at all. bought lots of paracetamol etc too and cleaning stuff. I really need to give my house a good clean.
supposed to have 2nd date on monday. he wants to go for a meal so pointless ssing even if i wanted to. need to think up a nice catchy name cos new bloke doesnt work forever does it. suggestions gladly accepted.
have changed my facial from monday to tuesday because of afore mentioned date. But forgot I've arranged to go out with another friend on tuesday night. get the kids back on wednesday though so has to be tuesday.
However this all really depends on if I come out in spots or not lol. Hopefully I'll be feeling better by then though. I feel really awful at the moment.
My sister wants me to babysit tonight but no chance when jas is so infectious right now (I might not actually have it)(yet!)(I generally catch everything the kids get)

ooh just remembered I went to the chemists today to get some medicine for me and oldest son. so I told the lass there what i wanted it for and it was for me and my 12 year old (he was waiting in the car) and she told me that she thought I was the same age as her (21) and would never have believed I could have a 12 year old son.
That brightened my day a bit cos I was feeling a bit fed up about how I'm looking (lots of extra fat, look like a sack of taties)

well eldest son hasn't popped up with any more spots so dont think he has chciken pox. I thought I had one cos I was really itchy and could feel a lump but when I looked in the mirror it was just a mole that I was scratching. So maybe we're safe for another couple of weeks. I still have this awful cold though. I got ordered off caroline to get some strepsils but the kids have only just gone to their dads so I havent had the cance to go to the shops. Struggling on with my lemsips and stuff. I was in a dilemma about whether to give my son the 1 bottle of cough medicine I had to take to his dads with him or whether to keep it myself. i decided to keep it myself and my tight ex can spend some of his money on his son to get him some medicine.
New bloke (still need a better name, S just isnt good enough) was supposed to have his daugher tonight but now he doesn't have her so he asked me to go out with him tonight. eek 5 hours notice I have to clean house, decide what to here and think of somewhere to go. I said I'd go but just for a quiet drink. cant be bothered with anything more than that. I probably should have said no cos I feel ill but i didnt. I didn't ask if it means we're going out instead of tomorrow or as well as. hmm will find out later I suppose.
I look terrible though. I have black circles under my eyes and they're all puffy. The dog scratched me. I bought washing powder yeserday but when I went to put the washer on I discovered I've left it in the shop aaargh! even though I've paid for it so I have nothing to wear cos I cant even wash anything. unless I use the stuff I have for washing silk but doubt that will work as well,
I feel awful too. I weighed myself last night and I was 11 stone 10! that is just scary. I really really really must get back on the diet. Or some kind of diet anyway I cant get that heavy again.

Ah hun sorry your still not feeling well, but at least your son doesnt seem to have the pox....will keep my fingers crossed for ye!
As for the date, chill out and relax hun, it will be fine!! I'm sure you can find SOMETHING to wear, and we always think we look worse than we actually do as well, remember we are our own worst critics!!

Not if it feels right hun and thats wat you want to do! Maybe suggest a takeaway and a bottle of wine to go with it and he gets to choose the dvd? Takes the hassle out of getting ready as well cos ye can just throw on jeans and a top!!

hmm, I dont know if I have the energy to clean the house that well lol. it would have to be sparkling for him to spend the whole evening here lol and it just wont be in 3 hours time when i have to have a bath and everything as well. Plus we're going for a meal tomorrow night, twice in a row could be a bit much even if one is at home.
I think I'll just get him to take me to a local pub instead.
on the other hand coffee would be better for my throat than cold drinks.
