Nefertari's journey to lose 130lbs

Only 1lb off this week but I'm not too disheartened as it's still 1lb closer to goal and I know I'll have a big loss next week. It's just infuriating when you've been 100% all week and drunk your water and still only lose 1lb. I could lose that (or more!) on a 'normal' diet. I had the veg allowance this week and it's given me stomach ache and constipation (TMI sorry!) so I'm going to knock that on the head again. Could be why I haven't lost much? Who knows...

Anyway, I'm going to plough on - hoping to hit that 4st lost mark next week! Only 1.5lbs to go now :D

Off to work soon :( Will update my ticker etc. when I get home xx

What veg have you been having? Have you ever had this reaction to vegetables before?

Just the allowed 200g: broccoli, cauliflower or swede. I don't normally eat veg so it could be my body wondering what the hell all that fibre is!

I'm a salad girl normally!

Lots of different vegetables you can have, even pickled cabbage. Are you switching veg for salad or using fibre powder?

Cucumber would do that to me, It is the only veg I cannot bear. :(
Hope you get sorted soon.

Yeah, I was wondering about the cucumber. I know it's linked to wind etc. Going to stick to just protein tonight and see how I feel.

If it isn't broken, don't try and fix it - I should have followed that advice! I was doing fine without the veg...

Re: Nefertari's Slim and Save diary

Maybe try and take fibre powder? It should help with that a lot, it did for me.

Ever tried courgette? It's like cucumber without the indigestion :D Doesn't take much cooking, either dry fry, blanch or steam for 5 minutes and it goes great with white fish.

I hate courgette! BLEURGH.

I feel a bit better this morning - was stuck in front of my laptop for 14hrs yesterday which didn't help. Dying for the next two weeks to be over so I can have a break from deadlines and going to Uni. I love it, but my brain is tired now. I'd love a day of just sitting at home watching films.

At Uni 11-3 today and then I'm going to come home and chill out. I feel really run down lately - I think it's just the stress of too baby deadlines!

Anyway, how are you guys doing? Xx

For the first time since starting this time, I can honestly say that I am sick of this diet. It's not a case of wanting to eat, I'm just sick of the packs and sick of feeling rubbish.

I'm not going to come off plan though - I'm guessing it's just a 'hump'. I've been doing this for nearly 100 days now which is a long time. I'm sure it will pass.

The scales have started moving today, hooray! 1lb gone so far this week. Now I know they are moving again, I'll stay off them until WI day. I just like to see that it's working again after a rubbish week.

Just half a pound and I'm at the 4st lost mark! And just 4.5lbs and I'm in the 16s! Come on!!! :D

Don't know what's going on here but what I do know is that you should always listen to what your body is trying to tell you. Always. You shouldn't be feeling rubbish.

Have you had your food week yet?
Having a bit of a breather for a week should help. You're just mentally tired of the monotony of the pack. This time is crucial though to stay strong! This is where most people start breaking the diet and going back to old habits. Have your food week. Get it out of your system and carry on. You know you can do it!

I had three days totally off plan not so long back hun, so not doing the food week. Only four weeks until Cairo and I'll be coming off a week before so three weeks left including this one which is nearly half done!

I'll be okay - I got out in the sunshine and felt much better. I think I'm just stressed out with Uni and work. Plus the veg made me feel a bit pap but am starting to feel better now. Going to have an afternoon and evening too myself - nice shower, this week's Game of Thrones and the Toy Story 1 and 2 :D xx

I'm wondering if it's just the after effects of the veg - my toilet troubles have started to go though so perhaps I just need a little more time to get over it. I read somewhere that broccoli, cauli and cucumber are all prime suspects when it comes to bloating, wind and toilet troubles! That's what I've been eating! Will try some different veg in a couple of days.

You're probably right but I'd keep an eye on it. Veg shouldn't have that bad effect on you, especially cooked veg. Glad you're feeling better today though.
