:( nope. weigh day tomorrow then run up to disney for 16th may. argh! food, wine, enjoyment - no exercise :( argh!!!!!!!!
 
not good. weigh in day and according to the scales i've put on 5lbs over the past 2 weeks. mmmmm. very strange as i've not been mega bad. my body is rubbish. i hate it. can i exchange it for a better functioning on please. only thought is to much wine indulgence. also the antibiotics, doc said they shouldn't make any difference but..... i put on and retain water if i have paracets. not good. i'm also away on hols and i wanted to be a stone lower. well i've put on not lost. plus whilst i'm away i'll be putting on weight. looks like when i get back it back to square one.

p.s maybe i just need a break off this diet for a week and then back to focusing. just don't know what's going on. it's like my wedding all over again. i was trying to loose weight in the month running up to my wedding and all i did was put on. :eek:
 
Nikki are you going to see Julie today? I'd talk to her about your concerns about how easily you put on weight. She must have seen it before and have some idea what's going on!!
 
i can't help but feel greedy though. i know i am totally greedy (i have a streak like anyone else) but it's not like i'm sitting doing nowt eating takeaways etc. yes, i'm drinking wine and i have the occasional biscuit and crisps but it's not like i'm raiding the fridge everyday and i'm exercising 4 times a week. the only thing i can think of is that it's the antibiotics then the heap of paracets and pain relief i'm taking when my throat is bad which seems to be every other week. i'm sure julie will tell me i have to stop the diet if i tell her i've been on yet another load of antibiotics. argh :( doc said that women put on weight more easily than men. not helpful really. he didn't know what to do other than offer me a diet woman to talk to, exercise on prescription, blood tests etc said that it would be pointless taking the fat tablets that make you poo orange and i totally agree. i'm not overweight but i'm also not as thin as i want to be.

was doing wii zumba last night and my legs are solid, was moving around shaking my butt and my top part of my legs near my bum was totally solid.
 
Sorry I've not been around! Maybe Paul is right, try mixing your diet up a bit. In Jillian Michaels book she suggests that if you're sticking to say 1200 cals, mix it up during the week, have 800 cals one day 1000 another then on another have more like 1500. So long as at the end of the week you haven't gone over the 8400 cals you'll lose. It works by not allowing the body to anticipate how many calories it'll be getting each day. It also gives you more flexibility on days where you feel like you need to eat more. It takes more planning but if your cal counting you'll have to be planning ahead anyway. Just a thought. Xx

Thanks for this. I think it is some good information. In addition to getting back to planning my food for daily consumption -- and tracking the carbs/calories -- I think a weekly total could really help with "attitude adjustment" if I do have an "off day".

JEALOUS! Your thighs a solid! I know you've earned those tight toned legs... but I am still envious. I really need to get on plan of working out at least three times a week and doing some serious thigh and upper arm work. Okay, whole body work (my abs are kind of sad, too).

went to the gym this am. did core, combat and zumba. went back this pm for body fat analysis and i'm in the normal body fat range. i'm 37 and it goes up when you are 40. my body fat is 31% the range is 20-32/33% i think. so that's good in one respect. he said i was fit and healthy and not overweight, good body fat etc just going to focus on healthy eating and getting my body fat levels down when i get back from my hols.
 
p.s have looked at a venue and am going to do a zumba class starting in june for 45min once a week. i have my liabiltiy license and pro-dub and i'm sorting out my music license now. :eek: it's happening.

Yeah, think hard!! I'd definitely do it if I was in your shoes. It's a safe, well established class for you to get your confidence up with!! You'll be fab at it anyway because you're so passionate about it!! Xx
