Hehehe! I wear odd socks nearly every single day, to the point where I only buy black socks now so that I don't have to worry about people seeing them. As long as they are both black!
But, the volume has to be on an even number (car, tv etc), I have to stir coffee, soup, beans in the same direction, all pens and paper on my desk have to be square and I have wierd counting rituals....like:
If I look at a word, I will count how many lines make up the outline and can't stop until I end on a multiple of 5 or 10. For example, the letter S has four lines, the letter T has 8 lines. If I get to the end of the word and it hasn't ended on a 5 or 10, then I will count each letter itself as a digit, so the word 'THE' has 32 lines making up the outline of the 3 letters, so then I would add another 1 for the letter T, another 1 for the letter H and another 1 for the letter E. Making 35, so I can finish there! If it didn't make a 5 or 10 then I would have to draw an imaginary box/frame around the word and count the outline of that, inside and out, then I would count the background colour inside the frame as 1 and then the background colour outside the frame as 1, I can't stop until it equals a multiple of 5 or 10! lol
I used to do this all the time, but now I do it when nervous or if something is distracting/bothering me. I tend to do it often if I can't sleep for troubled thoughts and staring at the alarm clock. I'll also add up the numbers on the clock to make a 5 or 10 multiple. ie 23:11 = 7, so I would have to stare at the clock until it was 23:14.
I do another thing where I will spell out word on my fingers and I would start on my thumbs and go through my fingers on one hand, till my little finger and then go back again to my thumb and wouldn't be able to stop until a word finished on my thumb.
I've never realised how crazy that all sounds until I just tried to explain it! lol
