Total Solution No more yo yo-ing!

Been a bit absent but I'm back now. Back up to 10 stone 10 after the excesses of the weekend and didn't manage to run yesterday as I was knackered and hungover.

Back on it today. Just had a bar so far and milk in tea and coffee. Might switch to a 4:3 and do 3 exante days out of 7, today being the first for this week. Got a 4 mile run to do later so exante day might have to be tomorrow instead but I'll see how I go..

Sounds like a good plan Yoyo. Enjoy your run x

Thanks Susie. It's been a good day. I've had a shake and a bar and two tiny bars of dark choc and some fruit. Just finished a 4 mile run and drinking an exante shake with added blueberries and strawberries. I'm going to count today as an exante day. I'm in london tomorrow so will have a shake for Bfast before I go and take a bar for dinner for the train back and I'm out for lunch.

Hope everyone else has had a good day xx

Sounds good. I tried to do 5:2 last week but ended up doing 5:0!

Another successful day for you yoyo, well done :)

Have a good day in London tomorrow xx

Thanks Katie xx

Just having a bag of twiglets and that finishes my day :)

Frustrated this morning. Usually when I do what I call an exante day, which is exante products and a bit of normal food, I lose overnight, but this morning I have only lost 0.05 of a kilo so I'm still 10 stone 10! I'm on track for a 3lb GAIN this week! Eek! Going to do what I can today to try and lose a bit more for tomorrow's weigh in but it'll still be a gain this week I reckon.

I know I could be gaining muscle with all this running so I shouldn't be too hard on myself with the number on the scales but still...

Exante for Bfast and dinner today and I'm going to try and find a healthy lunch at borough market.

Have a wonderful day folks! X

Don't be frustrated Yoyo. as you get to target you will have slower losses & occasional gains. Do what you are doing and adjust your intake & exercise accordingly its a temporary blip.

Not too bad food wise and lots of walking round London Town today :)

Bloomin nightmare getting back home though - I'm only just back! The 7pm I was on was cancelled so we had to get off and the 8pm was delayed by half an hour... Don't even get me started on the rude customer service lady!

Anyway.. Food:

Exante shake with blueberries and strawberries
Banana
Superfood salad with mozzarella and chicken
Half a strawberry tart (ok not that good!)
Exante bar
Prosecco
Aperol spritz
Small bag twiglets

Let's see what the scales say for weigh in tomorrow.. How much of a gain compared to last week I wonder?

Week 13 weigh in

Start weight - 12st 3
Week 1 - 11 stone 9
Week 2 - 11 stone 5
Week 3 - 11 stone 4.5
Week 4 - 11 stone 3.5
Week 5 - 11 stone 2
Week 6 - 10 stone 13.3
Week 7 - 10 stone 12.9
Week 8 - on holiday
Week 9 - 10 stone 12.8
Week 10 - 10 stone 9.5
Week 11 - 10 stone 10.7
Week 12 - 10 stone 7.9
Week 13 - 10 stone 9.6

So I've gained 1.7 pounds this week.. Looking back over the last 4 weeks I've pretty much maintained.. I need a serious kick up the backside if I'm going to shift this last 10 pounds!

I felt exactly the same about my paltry 2lb loss for my last four weeks. What a waste of time. Hoping my new regime kick-starts things for me again. Want to be 14st by end of summer hols so that's now five and a half weeks to lose 13lbs. That SHOULD be doable as long as I have sensible up days. Come on Yoyo; you can get there. Just need to review where the extra calories are coming from and cut them out.

I'm just being lazy I think :) I'm saying to myself "you are doing lots of exercise, you should be able to eat whatever you want!" Plus I've just realised, I'm not walking up white nancy in the mornings anymore now I've upped my running training -maybe those walks were kick starting my metabolism?

Anyway, a banana and an exante shake so far today.. I am at the pub with some friends this evening though, I'd like to say I won't drink but not sure I have the willpower. See I don't want to lose these last few pounds badly enough as I'm fairly happy with myself at the moment.. That's the problem. But I'm not happy enough to stay at this weight.. I want to tone up mainly..

This is the danger point, when we're not quite at goal but we're no longer that unhappy with ourselves so a bit of complacency sets in. Not that you've been complacent about your exercise because you haven't but as you say, you feel like you should be able to eat what you want because of your exercise. But when you consider that if you were to run a marathon at your current weight you would probably only burn about 2,500 calories then you can see how easy it is to eat far more calories than you're actually burning off with running. I mean, if you go by accepted wisdom, that's not enough to burn off even 1lb of fat! How depressing is that???

Thanks cate I feel so much better! Lol :)

I've just met a lovely elderly couple from Australia who were walking down my street (I live on a short road that leads to a farm) turns out his dad lived in the house next door in the 1920's - I showed him a picture of the street in the early 1900's and he was so overcome with emotion I invited them in for a cup of tea. He was so grateful he's invited us to stay with them in Australia in Coffs Harbour! Just need to see if we can raise the funds for the ticket! Me and hubby had a lovely time chatting to them - made my day!

Food wise I've not done too badly today (for me) this evenings night out with friends from college has been cancelled so I won't be drinking either.

Went for a 3 mile run this morning so hopefully that's kick started my metabolism.

So I've had so far..

Shake
Bar
Bowl strawberries and blueberries with a dollop of double cream (naughty)
Small bag twiglets
Carrots
Banana
Broad beans from the allotment
Half pack soup mix made into crisps

Feeling a bit hungry and we are going to walk up white nancy in a bit so I better eat something else before bed..
