5 scan bran, a toffee mullerlight, some sweetener and a spoonful of cocoa powder. Then I added a sprinkle of butterscotch pieces into the mix which melted in the microwave. While it was still warm I smothered with Total yogurt mixed with a little sweetener and dropped some more butterscotch on top - flipping marvellous lol

The packets of butterscotch pieces are in the baking aisle in Asda I think they are either £1.34 or £1.54 per 150g bag. They work out 35.5 syns for the full packet

Mmm that cake sounds even nicer than the ginger one, how much butterscotch did you put in the cake and what syns for the cake please? Xx

This is the bag of pieces there are 35.5 syns in the whole bag. I only used a sprinkle of them so id say 2 at most, 5 for the scan bran and 2 for the cocoa so 9 in total hun x

Hi bakers, I've seen some ginger essence or extract at Tesco, do you think I could use that in a scan bran ginger cake or would it be a bit over powering. Not bought it yet and not baked anything yet either must def do a cake tomorrow x

Been to Asda and got stuff to make mint, lemon, toffee and cherry bakewell. Held off orange as thought that might be OTT!! Cherry bakewell and lemon I think this morning off to it xx

Think I have been cooking mine for too long corners going a bit dry so going to try less but seems tricky as middle seems v wet for ages!!
