Thanks Jaffa...well, problem with my daughter's attitude towards Joseph...that's why we're not going there for Christmas lunch this year. She's not happy but until she makes a move that's how it will be. I so feel for Joseph being ignored etc.
I went to my son's flat yesterday afternoon, my daughter & the twins came too and we all exchanged presents. Matt will be here for lunch on Saturday.

Scales up 1lb - 10.5 (have to remember it's only Thursday today)
We've had a lovely relaxing time and a very nice lunch. I made the Festive Vegetarian Wellington and it was so tasty. Haven't tackled any Black Forest Trifle yet!
Happy Birthday Matt - 39yrs old 023.jpg

:xmassign: Hope you're having a special day! xx

Sorry to hear about the emotional stuff Janet, I was very sorry when my mum visited the other day to drop some gifts off but I was out and if I had known she was coming then I would have altered my plans. My father is law is also in hopspital again and I feel so selfish that I am missing my husband as he is visiting a lot while trying not to emotionally eat! However don't get me wrong I am having a lovely Christmas, hope you enjoy some of it Janet and Jaffa Cake.

Thanks Donna, I think this time of year is traditionally 'family time' and that's why we get emotional. We've had a lovely relaxing day, rather like we had all those years when we lived in Spain.
Sorry your mum didn't let you know she was visiting...one of my sister does that a lot too. Hope your father in-law's health soon improves. I know you understand your husband's position and naturally he wants to visit but...still hard when it cuts into quality family time.

I'm perusing smart phones...will I buy one? My very old Nokia needs a new battery...is it time to change? I have some Christmas money so could buy one..
I had a M&S gift voucher and also a gift voucher from a local wool shop so I can knit myself another chunky sweater.
Joseph gave me a bottle of my very favourite perfume..."Very Irresistible" by Givenchy...I haven't had any for such a long time!

Janet glad you have had a lovely day too, thank you for your words of wisdom, I also have to decide whether to take my children to the Brock (local pub) for Peppered Steak at 2.30pm tomorrow without
my darling hubbie who will be visiting his dad. We booked it to spend it with friends and their children and if we don't go Antony still plans to pay for the steaks. I think we should go and hope he will join
us when he gets back at half four.

I don't think you would be disappointed if you upgrade your phone. My hubbie and daughter upgraded their 02 contract and got new phones and although I wish she would not be so stuck on it, they
are really happy with them and I will def updates in February if 02 ask me.
Perfume sounds wonderful and fantastic vouchers!

Continue enjoying the day/week, I know I will. :)

Thanks Donna...and oh yes, I would definitely go and enjoy those steaks with your friends and their children.
Thanks also for your thoughts on the smart phone...mine is a basic 2nd hand mobile that I bought in Uganda in 2008.

Can I even list what I've eaten today!

Breakfast: Options, banana, apple, grapes with alpro yogurt, walnuts
snack: 1 sq. turkish delight, 7 chocs
Lunch, 2 slices festive vegetarian wellington, roast potatoes & parsnips (frylight!) cauli, sprouts, broccoli, vegetarian gravy, tsp cranberry sauce.
Later: some black forest trifle
snack: options, more chocs (lost count that time! but suffice to say the small box of Thorntons chocs is finished - Joseph had some too.
supper: pkt soy & potato snacks.

I'm sorry about the family problems. It doesn't seem fair at all especially when it is obvious from here that Joseph is a good man and clearly adores you

My scales jumped 2 kilos virtually which is nearly 5lbs in two days. Trying not to get worried but it's a big leap and we have more food planned for today

Thanks Jaffa, it really is my daughter's problem, I don't think she treats my ex's (new) wife any better either. I can honestly say we both said what a lovely relaxing day yesterday was, when we went off to bed last night.
Sorry about your scales...but like me I know you like to keep an eye on them!

Sounds good...I haven't had breakfast yet. I would like to go and look at smart phones...maybe I'll mention it over breakfast!

Scales were a bit of a shock this morning (I was expecting at least 10.8)...down 1lb - 10.4.
The only reason I can think of is that 'stress' keeps me out the bathroom and I was stressed leading up to Christmas eve. But I didn't deserve that 1lb down after all I ate yesterday...

You're right - Families! Oh we all need to keep away from the scales! And for me not too close to the chocolates!

Walking is a great idea too, I am going to walk to the pub! May have to have a cider or two as well - just to be social of course!

Jaffa, hope you had some dry weather for the walk...we had a sudden downfall and I got quite wet!!

Donna, hope you've had a lovely meal and your husband was able to join you later.

Today was a 1st for me...I've never been near any shops on Boxing day!! Where did I go? Ha!! The EE shop and also the Car Phone Warehouse. I decided to stick with EE as they're our broadband company and are giving me one month free on the contract I signed.
I got a fairly basic smart phone...Samsung Galaxy Ace 4. The man at the stall in the shopping centre who sells phone covers seemed impressed with it!! lol

Yes it was dry this morning but snowing now and it seems to be sticking.

Today is a first for us as well as we didn't go shopping today and usually we go every Boxing day !

I love Samsung stuff in fact all my electronics are Samsung.

I have a Samsung netbook my phone is the Samsung S5 and my tablet is the Samsung Galaxy tab 3 !!!

I hope you enjoy playing around with it. Download the minimins app which says New as that's the correct one.

Can't wait to see photos

Ugh snow...I heard from my 2nd cousin that it's snowing this afternoon too in Leicester...just cold down here so far.

I'm fiddling around with the phone but seems I'm not online...not sure how I even do that.
Bummer...just had a fb note from my Matt saying he's not coming tomorrow...all more of the Christmas eve saga. He spent the day with Sarah yesterday, he's very loyal to his sister. I've messaged him a few times but he said Christmas is over this year. Hum...was going to get him to set my phone up with the apps etc...double bummer!! :(
