I had a lovely meal with my friends and children, apart from Antony not being there till we had all eaten it was the best
time there I had enjoyed. Though I think all my syns for the week are done and its only Friday! And 4 days to go! But it
is Christmas. :sigh:

Yes I have 500mb too but didn't know if that was a lot or not. It's rather like using my kindle...I never have wifi on unless connecting to Amazon to download a book.

My two are behaving like spoilt brats!! Just debating some more about the subject!

Always use Wi Fi when you can as it is amazing how much data you use just surfing

You get it through Google play already installed on your phone

I'm sure if you get stuck you can go back into the store you got it from for a quick apps and phone lesson

Or Google on your laptop and there will be you tube videos

The app still uses loads of mb but not as much as the website

Morning Janet, we have to remember that we do our best to encourage independence in our children even when we wish they weren't so 'different' to us!

Thanks Jaffa, I downloaded the new app and could 'read' but couldn't see how to reply...it's all a learning curve!
Is it best to turn off the wifi and power off? or can I just put it all on snooze? Thanks for your help...

Donna hope it warms up a few degrees and you can wrap up and get out for some fresh air. The main issue with my two is they are so like my ex in their petty ways but can't really see it.

Lynne, I think I'll have to end up having a long talk (again) with Sarah to clear the air but in effect she's not prepared to budge an inch and thats why Matt is feeling as he does. Feels a hopeless situation but no doubt it will go underground again for a while...:sigh: The last thing I want to do is behave like my mother would have...and stop talking and seeing them! She did that to all her children at various times in her life.

Oh well another day...not surprisingly I didn't sleep well last night...scales up 1lb - 10.5

There is a quick reply at the bottom and then if you press the add button next to it you can add photos or press the arrow the other side to reply

I put mine into flight mode at night which turns everything off

Hurrah you are doing well - photos next

I use google plus for that mainly as it doesn't matter which device I take a picture on I can just add it

During the day I switch it out of flight mode and have on the wi fi as I'm either at home or in the office the mobile internet for out and about and the Bluetooth

But if I'm at home I'll switch it into power saving mode and just use my tablet

It might need charging every night depending on how often you use it

Also download a internet data counter you can set it from the day you get billed mine is 15th of each month and you can set your limit mine is 500mb

Thanks I set the data limit, although I think the young man said you can't go over it anyway...charges are high if you use more than the allotted mins for calls. I'm not likely to do that as we have all free calls here on the landline.
Actually managed to get my emails downloaded now...I do have a problem with passwords. I think I have them all written down but somehow they're not correct! Have to go through the rigmarole of changing them and then of course they want an alternative email address!! I do have one but had a job to find it! lol

Feeling a bit down because Matt didn't come for lunch... oh well, sorry to go on about it.
Been reading through the 'Changes to Plan' posts...new packs are out...no green or red plans included. I suppose it will all pan out and those of us, especially at target know what we're doing anyway.

I keep reading about how people go over their limits and get charged shocking amounts so I would take what the sales guy said with a pinch of salt and keep an eye on things yourself

I bet within a week you will wonder how you lived without it

In all the four years Lloyd has had a top end Blackberry on contract, last month was the first time he exceeded his data allowance by £32, he is none the wiser how, other than possibly uploading pics with no free wi-fi, which eats into your allowance.

Kate did exceed her data when she went to America with school, and got a lot of charges for calls......£125 on top of the first months contract (which is £40) and £35 on the second, as her holiday overlapped months.

Lynne...I should think it's hard to see where the data came from that caused the extra charge for Lloyd. Kate's I can understand.
