Pregnancy and Baby Advice Thread: From Conception to Birth, and Beyond!

Hey Francis, yeh I also had a internal scan. It's just nice taking to people who have had early scans n seen the same thing. It's silly but u see in the books how it should b looking at 6 wk's n then see nothing in the sack, it's mind boggling! u just think well there should b something there. Obv it's that small tho that the scan doesn't always pick up. I'm defo keeping off Google now. Just makes me feel worse xx

It's a great reassurance talking to ppl on here who've been there done that...
I'd not worry in the slightest. They cudnt see anything in mine til the scan 2 weeks later. Even then they cud just tell me the heart beat was nice n strong n that was about it. But that was enough for me for then. I was so scared.
I was getting really sharp stabbing pains where my left ovary was so I was convinced something was wrong. Still no idea what those pains were but they were pregnancy related (so I was told)

It's great reassurance n the girls are so lovely on here. Yourself included :) I feel more at ease than I did yesterday to be honest. If they were worried than I would b obviously. People don't generally have scans at 6 wk's n this is obviously the reason why.

P.s did u enjoy the nuttella n banana on toast ? Saw u had it the other day xx

Oh n forgot to mention my blood pressure was spot on today :) I was obviously just amicus at the docs xx

Yea they only do them to check its where its meant to be n only if necessary.
Yea was yum. But a bit too sweet for me do unless am having a massive sugar craving I don't think it'd become z regular thing

I'm panicking cos I've been awake since 6 and he's being quiet! C'mon little boy, do something! :/

Urgh, sneezing feels so much worse when you're pregnant. It's even worse when you reach the massive bump stage! xxx

Kezz I had a scan at 5 weeks and could hardly see anything then had a scan at 7 weeks and he was a little blob with a heartbeat so all sounding normal xx

I get a wake up call every 2 hours through the night I'm getting used to it lol also find it hard to walk around anywhere as feels like he's digging right into my bladder!

Hope you get some movement soon Missy, they like to keep us guessing lol

I've had minimal movement for days.. No kicks.. Just a few wriggles (little kick down low as I typed that funny enough!)
Am doing my best to stay away from Google and not to panic and ring the hospital.. I'm thinking as long as its wriggling and bump moves about (as in going hard n going up n going down etc) then its ok in there... TRYING to keep calm...
That happens to me a lot, even worse if you need a wee!! X
Good test for the pelvic floor muscles tho... lol ;)

Hi ladies... Your little pram suits that you've bought.. I know Jess has bought 0-3 so baby gets wear.. And that made sense to me so I done the same..
Now after seeing a 0-3 babygrow on baby Stevie at 3 weeks old.. Am thinking I'm gona NEED a NB pram suit... What have others done
Cai... What would you recommend??? Seems the NB size would do for a good month at least.. Tho Stevie was quite big born so technically would probably get even up to 6 weeks ish out of it... Dunno what to do...

Hi hun x I actually wish I got a NB one...the 0-3 snow suit looks absolutely huge!! And seeing as our babies are due in Feb (towards the end of winter) they won't need it for 3 months... I think I bought it in case I had a big baby lol xx

Yea I am too.. At least you can return yours tho.. I got mine in Littlewoods and there's only a 14 day return policy.. Oops..
Am think i'll get a NB one now too... But i'll not want baby in a white one when its almost 2months now.. Great idea at the time.. LOL
It'll def need a heavy snowsuit from NB with being a Feb baby.. But really don't fancy paying €100 for 2 coats that'll get a months wear... Hmmmm what to do.......

Yes, thank goodness! Took ages though. Had to laugh though, I was awake ages before Colin worrying. He woke up, turned over to give me and bump a cuddle and said 'the little sod was having a party in there last night, can't believe you slept through it'!!! So naughty baby only moves when I'm asleep apparently and daddy gets all the fun! He's had a shift on though which is the main thing :) xxx

I only have a newborn pramsuit at the moment (I picked it up cheap second hand - it's a fluffy bear suit!) and I was going to get a 0-3 one as well but I might well hold off now and end up getting another newborn one and then a bigger one come feb.

Also thinking I might need more newborn clothes anyway, that's why I was asking Cai how much Stevie weighed. My boy is estimated between 8 and 9lbs and I know growth scans can be out of whack but I don't want to buy stuff that'll never get used... Then again he also apparently going to be a long baby and I'm worried that if I buy stuff with feet in it won't fit him! The 0-3 stuff (the majority of what we have) does look massive tbh...
