Is a pram suit just a suit you put on them to keep them cosy?!? If so I'm assuming I don't need one since I'm in a hot country. I'm clueless at some things lol

Yea its just a padded babygrow really.. A coat that's got legs n feet in.. Pretty sure you won't need one... I've not bought anything smaller than NB but people have told me to pick up a couple of bits just in case.. The "average" baby weighs 7-8lb which is why they do NB to weigh from 7.5lb... So I might get 1 r 2 babygrow's for the smaller size.. My SIL was told her baby was weighing 8lb the week of taking her in for a C Section.. She was born 10lb 3oz!!! Doubt baby gained 2lb in a matter of a day r 2 so I will take no notice as i've heard them get it very wrong more often than i've heard them get it right... I think length wise the baby's might need the bigger sizes... But J is only 5ft 8in!!! Tho his brother is quite tall and 2 of my brothers are over the 6ft mark so its possible i guess.. Swallowing ice cold water to get baby wriggling n its not happening AND I had a can of coke this morning, ice cold as well...
Yea i've not got much in NB but will defo get lotz more now.. Never thought we'd get a month out of them so was buying minimum NB tbh...Thanks
I've bought 6 sleep suits and 4 vests in new born size everything else is 0-3 so the only other thing I'll buy in new born is an outfit for coming home.
Hope you get some movement soon, so frustrating when they won't move for you. Have you tried being down on all 4's again? X
I have a couple of "up to 10lb" bits.. I think 1 cardy and 1 babygrow.. That's usually a "up to 1 month" size in Tesco and Asda..The newborn stuff I've got varies from brand to brand but some of it is up to 8lbs and some up to nearly 10lbs! So I'm sure we can sort him something from what we have and then go clothes shopping proper once we know what size he is.
Have you eaten this morning? Eating often works better than drinking for me. I'm guessing the waving your bum in the air isn't an option if you're at work... xxx
Yea see... This is what I thought when buying it... But Stevie is weighing 10lb 3oz now and last week he was lost in 0-3months... I'm thinking my 0-3 won't get too much use now either as... say baby get 1 month from a NB pram suit before its outgrown that one, means it'll be April going into the 0-3 month one.. And sure.. It won't need it in June as it'll be too heavy for then... Grrr.. What a boo boo..I got my pram/snow suit in 0-3 with being due in January and I can't imagine I'll have a small baby. I didn't wanna pay £35 for a newborn one in case it's a ten pounder. I've got plenty of newborn vests and sleep suits and some 0-3 ones too but we're going shopping when baby's born.

Sure is... All the babies born in my family (as in nieces n nephews) have been... 7lb 6oz.. 9lb 2oz... 8lb 6oz.. 10lb 3oz (Born 2 weeks before DD!!)... 6lb 3oz and my sisters latest baby was an 8lb'er... So I think, judging by them.. I'm gona have an average size baby.. Am thinking i'm OK not to get smaller sizes (this is assuming baby follows O'Reilly genes)This is why I'm leaving it until he's here now. Having to sit on my hands a bit but I'm buying no more clothes until I actually know what size I'm getting! I don't think I'll be having a dinky baby at all but then there's the length thing and with pramsuits having built in feet that could be an issue if I buy another newborn one...
It's a right dilemma eh? xxx

Its just the pram suit that's stressing me out as I want to have her/him nice n toasty coming home from hospital... Tho I have a padded sleepsuit thing so with that and blankets she/he's be fine I guess just to get from the hospital door to the car (5 steps) and the car to the house (maybe 10 steps) lol... Am getting stressed for no reason aren't I?!
No I won't pack it in the bag.. I'll just get J to bring when we're coming home...I'm not even taking mine to hospital! It takes up too much room in the bag, we have tonnes of blankets and woolies for him and he'll be outside for less than a few minutes anyway like you say. So I'm confident that we can buy one online after he's born for his first proper trip out if the newborn one is too small...

In fairness... If yer getting a cab, its gona be already heated keeping bubs nicely wrapped in babygrow+jacket+blankets.. Its gona be fine.. I'm sure the driver won't mind turning on the heating for a few mins on journey to keep bubs warm...That makes sense... We're having to think of ways to minimise trips to and from hospital, getting taxis all the time is gonna get steep. Although someone will have to fetch the car seat I guess so we could fetch pram suit at the same time if needs be and it's mega cold?
We are going to a NCT nearly new sale on Saturday. If they have a cheap newborn snow suit then will get it otherwise will do without. I'm not spending more on something which may not even be used for long. Lots of blankets and hopefully all will be ok x
That reminds me that there's one round here end of November! Might see if I can drag myself off my sofa for that...
