OMG.. How rude of her...
Yea, I'd defo ring back.. Old or not you're worried.. A little time and comfort is what she's paid for!!
Hope you get a nicer person.. If not I'd go in.. Can't be too careful.. xxx

Missy I'm the same.. Turning over obviously drops everything onto the bladder n squishes it making me need the loo again.. LOL

Yes ring them Emma. Better safe than sorry on these things. How rude of that midwife though. Is it just a one off or when you wipe do you get blood?

It's just when I wipe, I'm going to call PAU now xx

The PAU won't speak to me because I'm only 19+5 and not 20 weeks it's 2 days FFS

It does happen sometimes but best to get checked out. Good luck xx

Right...so who are you supposed to speak to then?! What's PAU? Sorry, we don't have that where I work!? X

She said go through the GP but trying to get an appointment at my gps is like getting blood out of stone, PAU is the pregnancy assessment unit xx

I don't get that. We had the EPAU until 14 weeks then after that the PAU. Can't believe how rude and unhelpful they are. X

Try labour ward maybe? Explain the problem, who you spoke to etc....either that or just turn up feigning ignorance xx

Can your gp surgery get a message to your named midwife? I've done that in past - I dunno which team you're under but I can only ring mine between 9 and 10 so it's the only other way to contact a midwife.

I didn't know PAU wouldn't deal with you under 20 weeks, sorry hun would have said if I'd known :( :( Then again I remember ringing them about reduced movement at 27+4 and they wouldn't see me because I was less than 28 weeks so I can imagine them being that stick in the mud.

I hope you can get something sorted soon - if you need anything doing that I can help with being local just let me know xxx

Or go to the walk in and they should refer you to PAU or gyne outpatients anyway - then they can't say no! Just annoyed they're being so difficult with you  xxx

Thanks for all your help ladies, I managed to speak to the GP, he said if it turns red call back immediately, but as it's only on wiping he isn't concerned, so that's that, I just have to try and relax and hope my little lady is just fine, I only have a few days until my scan so I doubt they would do anything now anyway xx

Sarah my midwife only works Mondays and Tuesdays, I originally called the 9-10 line but they were the ones that weren't bothered, what I don't understand is they know due dates can be off by a few weeks so what difference does 2 days make??

I know, it makes no sense at all when you're talking days. :( I've called back the 9-10 line several times before as different people pick up the phone. If I'm not happy with what they've said I just keep phoning and making a nuisance of myself until someone takes me seriously. Might not be the best way to deal with it but if you're not happy you're not happy, right?

Just rest lots and keep an eye on things. And if you're worried again hassle them to death! I know we shouldn't need to but it does work. xxx

Glad you got to speak to gp. So hard to see why everyone does it differently! We see anyone from 16weeks in our Hosp, before that it's A&E.
Try to relax and put your feet up, and if you're still not happy, head off to A&E xx

whoa your midwife doesnt seem nice!

i had early bleeding and when i saw the gp she said if i have any bleeding anytime throughout the pregnancy then you should contact midwife of gp. Hope everything is ok xx

God knows it seems our hospital just aren't that bothered, although saying that, when I went for my last scan the sonographer was saying we have such a large number of immigrants in derby they can't keep up! I'm not sure she realised she said it out loud though because me and hubby was like what?? Lol

I've called the 9am line a few times and to be honest every time they've been naff, I called the PAU a few weeks ago to ask them something and the women was awesome so understanding, and when I apologised for calling before 20 weeks she said don't be daft we are happy to help! Hmm shame they aren't all like her!

I have to say that 9/10 times they've been brilliant with me and I can't fault my named midwife at all, she's fab. Those odd times they've not been great do stick in your head though, especially when you're anxious. xxx
