Pregnancy and Slimming World

Awww, sorry you're sore but I like to hear them moving about (says the woman with no gestational experience to speak of ;))

I'm doing great! Sore boobs completely gone, no nausea at all!

Midwife gave me the all clear for SW and scan pictures are really clear this morning. So happy.

My baby nursery "area" is ready! YAY!! She'll be sleeping in our room until she's about 3 months and then we'll move her to the spare bedroom so I made a little space for her near my dresser. Plus my parents are coming to stay with us for a couple of months when she's born so they'll be in the guest room anyway. The third room is at the back of the house and I won't feel comfortable having her so far away and it's too small to be a guest room so in our room she is! For now anyway. By the time my parents leave, she'll be ready to move into her own room so it works out pretty well. Bought a teeny crib at mothercare on sale for £44!! Thought it was more sturdy than a moses basket for the first few months. Besides the moses basket I liked was £99 lol. So anyway here are some pics :D

Awww thanks Britmum, still a novice at this interior decoration lark so it's all trial and error at the moment lol. I love my dresser too! The middle bit opens up and there's a mirror inside and another large compartment, that's where I keep all my makeup :D

Sorry about the double post but I was wondering, has anyone ever tried the belly bandit? It's a belly binder (kind of like a girdle) that you wear right after childbirth and it helps your uterus and stomach muscles contract, it also supports your back. Basically helps you get your figure back quicker. Anyone heard of it or tried it? Here's a link to the website and a youtube video.

I am not sure I would of found one of those comfortable after my c section. I couldn't bear anything restricting near my wound, it might be different after an elective though and probably not as sore. (I hope lol)

There's a bamboo belly bandit that is specially for c-sections. It's made from an ultra soft fabric apparently... Hmmm.... Dunno...

If you are planning on breastfeeding, which I know you said you are, that is great for contracting your stomach muscles back. Also means extra healthy extra's too :p

if you get a belt thingy though, let me know if it is any good.

what do you guys think? baby related or fatty fern?!

x

OMG Fern, already?!! You look so adorable and pretty! I didn't start showing until 5 months but my belly has certainly caught up, I'm HUUUUGE!

LOL! I read that the first trimester is mostly bloating. If your weight hasn;t changed then I think it might just be that, cuz if the baby was growing that big surely your weight would reflect it... I dunno... The baby is probably a shrimp at this point lol. Shall I post a pic of myself? My room is a mess and I only have my mobile phone lol. And DH is here saying I'm taking X-rated pics because I'm topless in one of them (though covering bewbs). Maybe I'll poof that one after a short while lol!

Yes I read this too but thought I could cover all bases by wearing the belly bandit AND breastfeeding LOL!! I'm so vain... :D

oo yes post a pic!!

the baby is like a shrimp atm so its not neccisarly baby itself! maybe it is bloating?? i figured if it were bloating it would be smaller in the morn and bigger in the eve, but its the same all the time 100%!! maybe im just gassy all the time hahax

Ah I see... Who knows, some people show really early some don't. As long as you're healthy and baby's doing great there's nothing to worry about, just celebrate the changes you're experiencing!

Okay will post pics in a sec. Eeeeep!

Okay here goes lol, sorry about the crappy quality!

Remember my target (ish) pic? Sigh... LOL!

Aww thanks! Everyday I think it can't possibly stretch farther, then it does! DH loves the bump, he says it's like a giant malteser. Humpf!

Sorry Fern, but unless its the case you have very baggy stomach muscles probably 90% bloat and 10% baby.
I keep meaning to get a pic up, will do it tomorrow, I still got nothing lol.

My stomachs looking FLATTER as the weeks are going on, only because my boobs are disproportionately huge.

I've had a very stressful day today with my mum, apent all day trying to give me money for the baby, which isnt here yet, and doesnt need anything. Money that she doesnt have. I'm legit stressed, more than I have been in months, even through exams, placement, qualification.

She's just not listening. When I have the enery will type it up in my preggy diary for advice

Having a cup of tea and a choc chunk muffin. Damn the syns.
