Pregnancy and Slimming World

Wow. Amazing. Well done kez. Love hearing stories where ppl manage to keep gains so low. Gives me inspiration n hope for me doing the same. So far at 23 weeks (tomoro) I'm up 3.5lb
Sometimes get annoyed at myself but I kno I need to gain some for baby...

I know that feeling of getting annoyed with yourself but sounds like your doing good - keep
Up the good work! I just try to take a day at a time but it can be hard sometimes then I feel lo kicking away and know its all worth it! x x

Hey all - Kez you've done so well to gain so little so far, have you just been following slimming world? And Frances your doing do well too, I've gained more than a stone and we are at the same stage...

Evening!

Trying to follow SW as much as I can and also doing low GI due to GD - just taking a day at a time!

x x

That's a brilliant result Kez! You're four days ahead of me and a hell of a lot lighte.r ;) The carpal tunnel sounds awful, I'm struggling with typing too (which is hard as I'm a PA so I do a lot!) because of the swelling in my hands but it must be 10 times worse for you. :(

The more I read you guys stories the more I'm mortified at my own gain. :/ I feel like a fat blob and it's really starting to upset me cos it's my own fault and I worry that my weight will cause problems, even at this late stage. 2st 3.5lb gain when I still have so much to lose and am classed as obese is totally unacceptable and I need to try and halt it, if not pull it back a bit. Would love a loss this week. Even a sts would be nice! I just need to control something when the rest of my life feels completely out of control! Hopefully it will help me feel better mentally too xxx

Missy don't beat yourself up Hun just take a day at a time! I went through a phase where I just had to eat and I put on every week - slowly pulling it back now but the GD was a big wake up call!

We can support each other and when babbas have finally arrived we can support each other with the next step lol

Don't feel mortified Hun, I've gained 2 stone at 27 weeks. Just one of those things. Nothing we can do now. Hugs x

Dougal - poor you, glad your starting to feel better now and managed to enjoy your cheese sarnie.

I'm so hungry today, logged my cals in MFP and they are at 2150 and I feel as if my throats been cut! Not good :(
In better news, am being kicked a lot, such an amazing feeling :-D x

I wouldn't worry about a hungry day. We all have them.

This baby today is DANCING on my bladder. Love feeling the movements but seriously think I may pee myself before bed time lol

Thanks girls, just wish I could have got my head back into SW sooner but I guess it wasn't the right time and there's nothing I can do about that now, it's true. Being back on here has helped so much, should have come back sooner!

Hopefully I can at least control things a little now. I think my big problem is that not only have I been eating more but my activity levels have dropped drastically. Pre-preg I was walking 1 hour a day and spinning 3 times a week plus gym if I had time. Now? With the PGP I find walking pretty painful so I do as little as possible. I've gone from being very active to not at all, I don't even take the stairs at work anymore! That definitely hasn't helped...

I'm home now, got discharged with strict instructions to eat!!
Been given more Cyclizine, plus a B6 vitamin to take as well (called Tham something).
Had IV fluids for 4 hours, plus bloods taken so my arms are sore lol!
And oh did I mention that they've given me an early scan???

Less than 72 hours until we see baby :D
Has to be the best part of today by far :D

Glad you're home - now get eating! Same as Frances, I found toast to be wonderful comfort food that kept nausea away as well but just eat whatever works for you :) Exciting news re: scan! Seeing baby for the first time is amazing <3

Yeh I managed a cheese sandwich and some fruit in the hospital and we stopped at M&S on way home so hubby could get some dinner and I got a kiddies chicken and dumplings dinner, which I couldn't manage a lot of, but what I had was good!
I'll be spending tomorrow doing as little as possible other than eating :)

I'm so excited about the scan- it's gone from being 2 weeks away to less than 72 hours eek!
Excited doesn't even begin to cover it :D

Doc said that's standard pregnancy protocol when you've been admitted to epu for anything x

My appetite decreased to nothing. But meant I ate more often. So I definitely recommend that. Little n often. As I say u'll find what suits u best but my advice is keep it plan as u can n wholemeal rather than white bread n pasta to help with bloat etc.

It's the same with PAU later on - certainly at my local hospital anyway. If you've not been scanned within the last two weeks they'll do one as a matter of course, that's how I came to have mine at 29 weeks :)

Morning ladies :)

So yesterday was pretty bad pain wise, hoping for better today. So far I'm definitely in less pain than I was yesterday (although I haven't got up yet!) so hoping for a slightly better day. Getting rained on twice didn't help my humour any either so definitely hoping for less rain!

Hope you're all doing ok :) xxx

Hope the pain subsides today. I'm not surprised getting rained on had that effect. I hate the rain, end of! X

Glad you're home. Try nibble of dry biscuits and toast throughout the day. Little and often is key.
Yay to early scan though, silver lining to the cloud yesterday for sure! X

Thanks :)

I'm so excited by the scan!! Can't believe I'm going to be seeing my baby in just over 48 hours!!!

I've woken up this morning feeling loads better- taken all my meds and I'm sitting up in bed on my iPad with the dogs for company- hubby has even left me a piece of cheesecake <3 (he brought it last night at M&S and said he was going to take it to work for his mate but decided this morning that I needed it)
I think he wins award for best hubby ever and he's going to make a great daddy <3
Will be speaking to Mum later and hopefully eating my way through the day and catching up on tv- that's my day sorted!

Hope everyone and bumps are well x

There were a few tears at mine and OH was just speechless at it.. Was so cute to see :)

Thanks hun, am taking vit c in my multivit plus orange juice for when I take my iron - I don't syn it, which I know is naughty, but it's for medicinal purposes ;)

Seeing baby jumping around at that first scan is unbelievable - just the best feeling in the world. I was a complete nervous wreak when I went in for mine and came out crying the nice sort of tears! It's the 20 week scan that got me the most though - it was just incredible seeing my little dude kicking and wriggling in such detail <3

I don't syn it either.. I also don't "count" milk or yogurts either.. Just drink them a n when... Things that benefit baby shouldn't be limited IMO... :)

Oh Missy I don't think I've ever been so scared in my life as I was goign for that scan.. As I've said before.. I've been "lucky" to not have been sick or suffered much.. But it was such a torment too especially before I had my doppler and could feel movements... I was sure something awful had happened and they wouldn't find baby's HB..
