Pregnancy and Slimming World

Just wanted to pop a post on to explain why I've not been around and why I shall be un subscribing to this thread.

Baby Georgia Mae was born sleeping on Monday 21st October. I had to labour her naturally knowing she had already gone. I got almost 24 hours with my beautiful girl before she had to leave us in hospital. Unfortunately I have a 3rd degree tear to contend with as well as all the usual post birth things but no baby.
Georgia was laid to rest today in a private service we all attended.

This was one of those things that just happened. We are waiting on post mortem results but they don't think we'll find an answer.

I wish you all the best with your pregnancies and please do not allow this to affect your happiness. Out of all my friends and family I am the only one this has happened to so please feel safe in the knowledge that Georgia was always meant to be an angel in heaven.

Im sorry to bring down the thread but just thought you should all know.

I am so so so sorry for your loss. My heart just utterly breaks for you and your family.

I wish you all the best my thoughts and prayers are with u xxx

Well seen the midwife this morning which means we heard our baby's heartbeat again. Nice and strong. Kept wriggling around though.

I'm booked in for my whooping cough vaccine next Wednesday and am going for my routine blood tests this afternoon. I hate blood tests but figured may as well get them done ASAP so I don't worry about it.

Belly now measuring 28cm which is bang on for 28 weeks. I asked about the lack of kicks now and she said that it's normal. I have a high anterior placenta which means some of the kicks may be cushioned by belly and hence don't feel them. I can feel baby moving round lots so she said that is perfectly fine. Apparently as baby gets bigger and there is less room, baby will kick less anyway.

So all good :) back to see her in 3 weeks

Aw good to hear it all went well. Measuring spot on too!

Anterior placentas are such a pain, they make scanning hard and we feel less movement. I think it gets better as they get bigger though, I felt my boy move a lot more after he went head down at about 30 weeks and had long enough legs that he could kick around it.

For my part, I'm 33+4 today and had an amazing 4d scan last night! Was incredible, my boy is the cutest baby in the world <3

Tonight is our first antenatal class, tomorrow I have a clinic appt with the consultant and a growth scan.

Hope everyone and their lovely bumps are doing well xxx

Hello!
I've had an eventful week so far and it's only Wednesday!!

Started feeling ill again on Sunday but managed food. Monday the sickness started again, really bad so I took myself off to hospital and was admitted again. Was on a drip for a few hours but once home I still wasn't feeling 'right' and Tuesday morning the sickness kicked off again and I felt drained and spaced out so I spent all day yesterday in hospital, having drips and meds put in me, and wasn't allowed out until I was certain if was feeling better.
Managed to eat food in hospital and managed food when I got home.
Just devoured a bowl of crunchy nut corn flakes and I'm feeling loads better.
Yesterday was quite an ordeal as they tried to put the cannula in and couldn't find a vein. 3 attempts it took!!!
So my arms and hands are covered in bruises.
Plus I have a total phobia of needles so I was very distressed.
Must add, that the food in hospital was yummy!
So today I'm resting and eating.
Hopefully the sickness will bugger off very soon as I'm pushing 12 weeks now.
Have to say tho, I'm definitely getting a bump! I've barely eaten over last few days but my bump hasn't vanished so must be all baby :)

On the plus side, we have got to back into hospital in a weeks time but for a very good reason- to see baby :D
In one weeks time we will have seen baby again (appt is at 8:40am) eek!

Hope everyone and their bumps are doing well x

Oh Dougal.. Sorry to hear you've been so unwell... Sadly the myth that morning sickness ******* off at 12 weeks its just that.. A myth... Tends to stick around til more like week 16... Not for me thankfully as I only had it til week 9 n at that was being sick once a day n that was me done... but for most I've chatted to on here and another forum i'm on..
Hopefully it starts improving for you tho.. You've it quite rough up to now.. You deserve a break.. xx

Bless you Dougal, it's been rubbish for you so far :( Hopefully you're nearly out of it now though! You won't always magically feel better at 12 weeks like Frances says but hopefully the sickness and nausea will at least become less often. By 16 weeks my nausea and food issues were totally gone but they were starting to go from about 14 weeks onwards so hopefully not much longer now.

Hopefully this means you're done for nasty preg symptoms too! I swear no one gets away entirely scot free, I got away relatively lightly in the first trimester but in the third I seem to have every mechanical problem you can get in pregnancy haha! So hopefully you've done your time and the rest of your pregnancy will be trouble free. xxx

Can I be cheeky and share a picture or two of my gorgeous boy from last night? He's so cute I just want everyone to see him! He looks so grumpy in the second picture, I think he was a bit fed up with the whole scan thing by then ;) xxx

Some people do to be fair! I know people who've had dead easy pregnancies with no major issues, other than the stuff we all get, heartburn and the like. My MIL apparently had one of those with husband's big bro and was annoying her friends by going on about how easy pregnancy was. She was then punished by having an awful pregnancy with husband though lol ;) xxx

Ha ha ha... No I (hope I) don't annoy people with how easy it is.. Am just thankful..
Am just praying that all my luck doesn't run out in the labour ward.. LOL

She had it even easier! No sickness at all. And an easy birth. And apparently he was an easy baby too. No such luck with husband lol ;)

Aww how cute :) must have been a great scan for you xx

Love his grumpy little face in the 2nd one Missy, bless him :D

Poor you Dougal, im glad they are able to relieve your symptoms a bit at the hospital tho.. Id say my pregnancy has been relatively easy (so far) too Frances, felt sick for the first 12 weeks but been alright since then - but I still have 15 weeks to go so I know my luck could also change ;)

Im doing a Study through the University here to limit weight gain in pregnanncy (not doing to well with it to be fair) but as a reward for my time it means I get 2 additional scans, the dates have just come through as 27th November and 16th January - very excited to see my little girly again :D

Lol I really hope I've 'done my time' as far as pregnancy symptoms go!

I don't really want to end up back in hospital unless it for nice things like a scan :)

Love the pics Missy ESP the grumpy face- so cute!!
