Sarah's Target & 10K Mission

Hi lovely ladies,

Happy New Year! I hope you all had amazing Christmas and New Year breaks/celebrations/generally lovely times!!

I'm feeling massively disgusted at myself after getting on the scales this morning for the first time in months. I weighed in at 11.5. I deserve it, but I can't believe how much I've let it slip - I feel like I'm almost back to where I started! But I can't change the past, all I can do is move forward, so that's what I'm going to do!

It's three weeks today we go to Bruges for Dave's birthday so I'm on a mission to get well and truly back in the 10's by then, and when we get back it's going to be Mission Target! We have a wedding to go to on 1 August and I WILL be at target by then!

Easing myself back into things with a green day today, I think, and also planning for the weekend - we are off to Colchester to visit some family tomorrow and hopefully just chilling out on Sunday:

Friday - GREEN
B - HEXB1 porridge made with 1/2 HEXA1 skimmed milk
L - Veggie ratattouille
D - Risotto bianco (adapted Jamie Oliver recipe) topped with HEXA2 parmesan with HEXB2 wholemeal roll garlic bread

Saturday - RED
B - Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon
L - Salad with cold meats (chicken breasts and lean ham) - 2 syns for salad cream and HEXB1 wholemeal roll
D - Everyone is having fish and chips (family tradition when we visit!) so I'm planning to have fish (no batter) with mushy peas and a side salad
Synnage - probably a couple of biccies with tea (up to 8 syns)

Sunday - EE
B - HEXB/HEXA porridge
L/D - Lamb fillet with sweet potato mash and heaps of veg
Synnage - tbc

Once the weekend is out of the way and I'm back in the swing, I'm going to throw in a couple of fast days too. Need to get a decent food shop in but annoyingly our Lidl is closed for a refurb!!

Back at work today but wishing I was still snuggled up in bed with Dave! Here's hoping the day goes quickly, although it's so quiet in here I think that's unfortunately unlikely! At least I will have some time to catch up on your diaries!!

Hey gorgeous lady!

Goes back on so easily doesn't it :( I have gained about 10lbs since mid sept am hoping that new year will give me some new focus! Hope work goes quickly for you, I'm off sick at mo, will potter back to my thread for details.

Am v jealous about Bruges looks awesome but we're on a strict no holiday mantra for this year!!

Have a good day xx

Hey honey!

Was just reading your diary - so sorry to hear about your hand. Sounds really painful :( I hope it's feeling better really soon.

You had some amazing holidays last year - I'm sure our city break won't make you too jealous ;)

xx

I've heard so many good things about Bruges! I don't think January is the best time to go as some things are closed, but I'm sure we will have a great time. The restaurants I've booked sound amazing! I was spoilt for choice after having a read of Trip Advisor! Dave cycled through it on his Brussels trip last year and loved it, so that's why I've booked it for us. It should be nice and easy on Eurostar rather than flying too - no faffing about with liquids bags or weight restrictions!! xx

I actually paid using Avios (I work for them), so our travel team did it for me, but separately. The hotel looks lush - will let you know what it's like! xx

Happy new year beautiful! Sounds like you're ready to smash it! Don't worry about the scales, when you're in the zone, you are in the zone! The eats you've planned for the next few days sound fab! Good work with the planning! Hoping to get some of that done myself but I just can't find the time! I feel so sorry for you being back in work today! Thank god it's Friday though right!? I'm not back until Monday and I'm dreading that so at least today might ease you in! Hope you're not too busy! So jel that you have something to look forward to so soon after Xmas! Bruges sounds like an absolute delight! xx

Was not good for the customers watching either! Doesn't hurt all the time now so getting better. Feel a bit stupid that it happened work weren't great about me being off today which has annoyed me a bit.

We did have amazing holidays last year. On to project house this year, been here 5 years so time for TLC!

Your work are so mean sometimes! There's surely no way you can work one-handed? Grr... You just take it easy today and don't let them bother you.

Time in a house flies by doesn't it! We have been in our house almost a year and I can't believe how quickly it has gone! We have a few projects this year, starting with a new boiler (that's going to be painful on the pocket!!) xx

Welcome back Hun xx

So here it is, my plan for the next 8 weeks to shift some fat and get my bum in gear!

It's a MASSIVE leap from what I've been doing for the last three months and I know it's going to really test me to stick to, but I need to do something drastic or I really will be back at square one.

I have a lovely 'skinny wardrobe' which I can't fit into and that needs to change before the nicer weather comes back around.

I've only been able to fit in one fast day a week but if we don't have plans on a Friday then I will squeeze in an extra one.

Let's flippin' do this!!!

I'm just looking at some now, Pip - I haven't booked one yet but hoping to over the weekend to give me a finite deadline and no excuses!! xxx

Hmm...found one which is in Regent's Park on Easter Monday - that timing works well. The others I fancy are mid-Feb which is just too soon. Might change my plan to a 12-week one! xxx

That sounds like a good idea, maybe by end of February you could have a mini target which could be time related for running the 10k in a set time? X

Great idea Lisa! Or at least be able to run 10k without dying ;) Here's the new plan - 14 weeks to a new me!! xxx <img src="http://www.minimins.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=161843"/>

I really do need to get back running again, I have been so lazy this past year.. I really struggle running outside with my breathing and I aren't a gym member at the moment x
