SA's 810 and beyond diary a.k.a My daily kick up my own behind ;-)

What an excellent idea Serena, I think I will make myself a chart today for my exercise... well done on doing yours and thanks for the inspiration. Hope you have a good day today.

Thanks guys x

Just had a major wobble again - looks like lunchtimes at work are a danger zone for me. Didn't give in to the wobble though and am safely out of harm's way at my desk for the rest of the afternoon thank goodness...

What can you do to not be tempted to wobble? Is it just will power or emotions reeking havoc? Can you schedule in a low cal hot choc??

Anyway Serena remember you have the control over the food and not vice versa. This is one of your borrowed quotes and I intend to focus on it tomorrow.

How's the jogging going??

Thanks Bren. It's emotions pure and simple that make me crave stuff. There I was thinking I was safe and sound this afternoon when the boss came round with ice creams for us all (he's a nice boss!). So I did have one, but stuck to my chicken and veg this evening and didn't let it set me off onto other things which is a minor breakthrough. Had around 1000 calories for the day.

So, all in all a good day today. Jogging is going well so far, my training schedule is exercise on 6 days a week with three of those being jogging (Tues, Thurs & Sun). Went out tonight and my legs were burning - still recovering from yesterday's exercise session I guess. Helped me to remember though that bad food is soooo not worth it!

Thought for the day:

"If you were a quitter you wouldn't be on Minimins."

I like the 'quitter' quote. Thanks for that! Have a good day...

I second that! I..... we are not quitter's.

Serena I must tell you I had control over the food today! Bless you and KD for finding that quote.

Serena, you, I think, have hit the nail on the head. The ability to have 'one' and have it not lead to many other things and go right back to your planned meal is so difficult to achieve and you are getting a firm grip on that handle. I have gained so much from your experience, thank you! Hang in there girl, you are so on the right track. Don't let the gremlins pull you off track and we all know they will try! lol

Thanks! I thought that one up whilst out jogging last night because my legs were so sore and I was thinking...is this really all worth it? Then it hit me :)

So pleased that you've found it helpful, so do I. I think it's an original quote from KD...I wish I lived in Bournemouth!

Hey Edi, really nice to see you, hope you are doing well.

Cute quote. So what cross-training are you doing then?

Hahahah I've just seen the ad at the bottom of this page which reads "Transform your body from dull to dynamic"...charming!! Now if they had a magic bullet that would transform my brain from bingey to normal then I might be interested. :D

Had a good day today...well actually had a dull and undynamic day but it has been good on the food and exercise front. Hubby phoned me just before I left work to say he was going to book us a table for a meal out tonight, however he got back late from work and it turned out that he hadn't booked it after all and it was too late by then to go elsewhere.

So I resisted the urge to dive into the biscuit tin because I was annoyed at him (how does that work? We're annoyed with someone else so we take it out on ourselves??) and went out for a jog instead. The jog was really supposed to be tomorrow but it turns out I'll be out at the MIL's for dinner so will have my exercise rest day then.

Thought for the day:

"Just because you can doesn't mean you should."

Hello...crossed posts there. Hope you've had a good day. Am doing mainly strength training on the other days - I have a book/dvd that I bought a couple of years back called the Ultimate New York Body Plan which has a tough workout - lots of press ups, squats, lunges, mountain climbers etc plus various moves on the Swiss ball. I also do my tae bo DVDs and am doing the workouts on the Fit Channel on Sky. Lots of variety otherwise I get bored very easily...not just with exercise but with anything.

Oooh nice choices there. I've heard a lot of good things about that NY plan. I love Tae Bo too!

My tae bo dvds were an absolute bargain - a box set containing 4 dvds with 2 workouts each on them for £7.00 in HMV a few months ago! I love Billy Blanks, he makes me laugh the way he talks to camera and goes round trying to push people over if they're not holding their squat in the right position.

I originally saw the NY body plan in a feature in the Daily Mail of all places - unlike most diet plans each of the testers lost a good number of lbs and inches too. The eating plan that goes with it is pretty brutal - I actually found CD SS easier!

Now that is a bargain! Michelle (his adopted daughter - did you know that) is a little powerhouse isn't she?

Right MUST MUST get back to work

Night xx

Is that cos I mentioned the Daily Mail?!! Don't worry I'm not a NIMBY - they used to have the paper at work so I'd sometimes read it of a lunchtime if I was stuck for something better to do.

Signed, Angry of Folkestone :D

Nah you got away with that one... only just ;):D. It was all the talk of exercise I found it quite exhausting!
