Awww I feel guilty when I read about the exercise other people are doing, I really need to get started on working out here, I have a multigym thingy and a cross trainer and power plates, so no lack of stuff to use, we also have wii fit and wii fitness coach, I will vow to start next week and post every day I do it on my diary.... so your post about the fitness channel has served as a kick up the bum to me, thank you very much.... hope you have had a good day hon...

Hi, I had a good day today thanks. Glad you feel inspired to do some fitness stuff, it's a great idea to log it in your diary as you get that extra sense of achievement seing it written down. Good luck with it. :)

Another day done and dusted without giving into the old food demons. Went for a jog this evening and got rather hot! I wasn't actually intending to go out but hubby told me he bought me a "present" which turned out to be a running magazine to help inspire me, bless his cottons. Did the trick though.

Thought for the day:

"Take chances. When rowing forward, the boat may rock."

Sounds like you have had a good day Serena, my husbands idea of a pressie is usually chocolate or something equally calorific. I keep telling him there are no calories in Radley bags......:D x

Congrats on the jog Serena!

How are you feeling in your head now with maintaining? I mean has it caught up with the fab new figure!

So...back to my diary! Still doing okayish - I don't feel so resentful/childish about having to put in an effort to get myself back where I want to be.

I've signed up to do a 10k run at the end of September, it's round Leeds Castle (near Maidstone) so it's a picturesque but challenging course - quite hilly I believe. I feel quite fired up about it as I will have to do a decent amount of training in order to get round in a respectable time...bring on the sore muscles! :whacky068:

Well done you. What plan are you following? halhigdon.com has some really good ones.

I'd love a Radley bag! Or even a purse!! *jots it down on Christmas list to give to hubby to ignore as usual* :D

Thanks Bren, not sure about my figure being fab but I keep forgetting that even at a few lbs heavier I'm still at least 5 stone lighter than I was this time last year which isn't too bad really :)

Cheers for that, my friend sent me a training plan but the one on the website above looks much better. I just need to pencil in "don't stuff your face with rubbish today" on a few of the days :D

I feel ok today. Had a takeaway curry for tea with hubby brought home with him tonight but I limited the amount I had and ate sensibly during the daytime too so all-in-all around 1500 cals today. No exercise tonight as I've done 3 days in a row and need a rest day. My calves are sore and a little stiff after yesterday's jog - was walking around the office today John Wayne stylee! Never mind, better than walking around feeling fat and miserable.

:D:D Good thing about aiming for an event is that it normally helps me to focus and I really begin to question what kind of fuel I'm giving my body. And having one of two non-healthy snacks won't do you any harm *resisted urge to say treats*

Hal's plans are really good and well used. You've got me quite jealous now because I really love running but being on CD, I have to keep the exercise low. I'm am working on using my heart rate monitor so my runs are still more stop start sloooooow, start, walk, trot, stop, start, sloooooow.

I know it's best if I keep running i.e not stop at all but haven't quite got the heart rate low enough to do that yet.

Amen to that. Hope you stretched well afterwards.

I did stretch, yes, just a little out of shape jogging-wise although I have been doing other exercises over the past few weeks. no need to feel jealous - I feel jealous of you doing CD!

Ha ha ha! same here, but mine bought me a bag of rocket the other day - all wrapped up prettily. I do like rocket, but it made me laugh!

Good to catch up Serena.

Lol bless him! I could do with a rocket up the @rse at the moment but I don't think they sell them at Tesco...failing that a good kick will do :D

Cant believe that you are 5 stone lighter! Did you keep an old pair of pants??? Bring them out and try them on, that will perhaps help the head to catch up with your body! You are totally looking fab darl.

Bren

Oh and put me down for a new bag also!

:hide: Did someone mention Radley bags!

They do a lovely and relatively inexpensive range at Ashford Outlet:D

Glad you're getting over your wobbly moment Serena, I know how difficult it can feel sometimes but I think you're doing wonderfully, you've taken control again and I know you'll beat the demons:) I dont view my demon as a bad thing anymore, it's part of me and as the times gone on, instead of feeling like a huge scary burden mine now feels like a little imp which rattles around in the back of my mind most of the time minding its own business, but sometimes coming to the forefront just to say hello and it serves to remind me that I shouldnt take for granted what I've achieved, sometimes I feed it but most of the time now I can just put it back in its place.

Lol just read that back and sound a bit like a fruitloop, but what the hell posting it anyway:D

Hope you have a lovely weekend

Just reading your diary Serena for inspiration and there is Mini's post which is just what I need to read today... thanks, both of you. Mini, hope I can get to where you are and put the demon back in its place. Thanks, hon.
