Yes, Kron, that link is for the deck move, but I've just tried it without the kettlebell and can't do it either, so really it is much easier with the weight of the kettlebell pulling you up, and the momentum of the bell swing etc. I still reckon I might feel it tomorrow though and I'm actually looking forward to that ache, if that makes sense. Tomorrow I go for my run, I still love running but it can feel like a hardship at times. Kettlebells doesn't. It really is fun.

Ailly, I've just checked online and Argos still have the 5kg on offer (as mentioned above). It is an excellent offer and if I were you and had an Argos nearby, I would snap it up, even though you might need to start with a lighter weight. You're likely going to be wanting the 5kg soon for some of the moves anyway, I would have thought.

I just wish they had more such offers. I already have the 5kg (got it on offer) and would now like a bigger one, but the next size up is around £20. So it is a bargain for a fiver.
 
Biggy how long do you run for. Hope you get that ache, I know exactly what you mean :)
Will have to put vol 2 on my wish list, sounds like it is a bit more advanced than mine

They didn't have it in stock at any of my Argos :-( I got a 5lb one from an eBay shop but only used it for 2nd set of 1st workout and I'm a right weakling
 
Kron, the "deck" move is where you lie down holding the kettlebell with a bell grip, explode legs in the air and then spring straight back up to standing! It sounds harder than it is. By holding the bell out in front, it helps lift you up.

Kron, Yes its 6 stone I have shifted so far & would love to shift another 2 though I am happier with my body shape now as it feels a lot more proportion with curves in the right places since starting kb's so as long as I keep toning I am happy even if the last bit takes a bit longer. Thats 'the' dress!! The one that was tight not that many weeks ago & now it gaps around the back!!! :D hence having to keep the bolero on all day

Hi Ailliy - welcome to Swingersville! I got my set of DVDs from Ideal World the same as Num Num and you do have to be patient for the delivery. Go with what the girls are saying about the bells. Get cast iron if you can. I originally got the York set from Argos as they were out of stock on the 5kg offer bell. The set is fine but so bulky compared with the cast.

But I now have a selection to choose from for different exercises which is helpful. Just yesterday I used my usual 5kg, introduced myself to my new 7.5kg and then dropped down to my York 3kg for a couple of "sticking your arm straight out moves" (Punches, Gunslinger) where I struggle a bit.

I am very exercise averse but the difference I have seen in 4 weeks (wk 1 - practice moves from Kron, followed by Kettleworx) is amazing. When i first started the 3kg was all I could manage. It just shows how quickly the body can strengthen.

Good luck. I found the whole site really useful and motivational but this thread in particular keeps me going and tickles my fancy on a regular basis!! :)

lol the first time i saw this deck move it was from a seated position of a small step, but as i didnt have one, tried it from the floor - quite impressed myself that i could do it :) the next instruction was when you mastered it from the step you completed it from the floor!

I have a confession to make.
I am addicted to watching Ryan Shanahan.He is doing floor exercises on Sky NOW.:)

Is that the How To programme. I recorded it the other week. No kbs just Ryan. There's a really good energising workout on there - just a few moves to get the blood pumping. I've kept it on my Sky Planner!
 
I got up at 6.45 and did core Sue so neener :p :D

I think we should branch out into personalised bells all with different faces :giggle:

Was doing some hardcore combos, which start pretty slow with additional moves as you carry on, and had to stop!
Just filled myself with eggs, beans and toast - fruit to come, and may have another swing later;)
 
Morning all,

Kron, I do an hour's running, three times a week. I did Couch to 5k and then Bridge to 10k and finished that a fortnight ago. I have decided to keep running for an hour, three times a week if I can. I don't measure distance (yet) but know that it's nowhere near 10k. More like 6km, I would think. But it's still a big deal to me, considering I only took up running (or indeed exercise) about four months ago! I have just come back from my run now. I am doing it for health reasons, not weight loss (honestly!). I used to smoke and stopped last November so I guess running is a feature of the new me.


I don't have SKY either so I can't get an extra dose of Ryan. Considering how cheesey her is, I don't mind him. But I really hate it when he says "TURBOCHARGE and TURBOCHARGE and TURBOCHARGE". I always feel like answering back, and not very politely.

Strangely the abs ache I anticipated from the deck moves yesterday isn't here yet, but my bum is absolutely killing me. It better not be getting any bigger. It's already "TURBOCHARGED" lol.

Biggy wow well done you :) thats amazing that you have achieved so much in the last 4 months. ONLY running 6 km - blimey! I dont think i could do running, altho since i have lost weight and increased my strength it doesnt sound so awful lol

I am going to get some ab exercises photos done and post them later, so if your looking at getting a little bit extra in that area - i would highly recommend these :) I wont tell you to turbocharge them ;)

Been terrible with the bells this weekend so I'm now playing catch up with a full on week this week for my final week. Gonna re start after with my 6 at the beginning then I'm gonna get another bigger one.

Lost 3.5lbs this week, can't believe it I've eaten junk all weekend :)

Will check in tomorrow after my delayed week 5 cardio.
