Dave cooked it lol. He oven baked them and did potato wedges with skins on and cajun spices, egg, peas/ sweetcorn, then fresh pineapple - really did not feel like a diet:). Just making chicken new yorker for dinner. Looking lush!

Hi Aqua, how are you? I'm on lates again boo hoo! But then I'm off for 3 days so woo hoo for me! Your chicken New Yorker sounds lush can you post the recipe again and a photo?
Your Dave sounds like a real gem, Brett cooked some fish for our tea tonight it looks nice but its costing me 6.5 syns how rude is that? (Breaded so can't remove like batter).

Hi Cookie - here's the chicken new yorker - it's Pebble's recipe and it's lush :). Nice to hear from you Moira :). Was great getting into those dresses. My coat arrived today and it's really gorgeous - even better I bought a smaller size and can actually do it up - will be better with losing a but more but should last me a while belted in too. Making caribbean pepperpot stew tonight - done it before and it's delicious - recipe attached - piccy is something else. Just sorted menu and shopping list for next week - going to try a couple of new recipes next week- hoisin chicken and five spiced pork. Definitely helps to gave plenty of variety so I'd definitely recommend dipping into the cookbooks Moira. Weigh in tomorrow night.

Hubby is definitely worth his weight in gold :). He's a great support too and has now lost 19lbs alongside me. Really proud of him.

Thanks everyone. Really happy today as had some fab news tiday - my son had his official uni result through and it's a confirmed first degree Very proud Mum today :)

Brilliant, clever lad! My nephew got a first a few years ago and his brother has just got a 2:1 - they're making my Desmond that I got back in 1985 look a bit pathetic (but of course everything was harder back then, wasn't it Sharon?! ;)). Hope you enjoy some family celebrations in the sunshine. :) xx

Well Chris is away with friends all weekend so celebrations with him will have to wait. I didn't get to do a degree as we were told vocational college course, or get a job - end of - it was different then. Really great to see my son and daughter go through uni. Becky is doing a French/ Spanish degree. Chris did IT networking and security. Great to see them doing well. :)

Lol, I went to a girls' grammar school so it was the other way round for me, go to university or else!! I did love my time there though, managed to switch degrees after my first year, so my student life lasted 5 years in total and I didn't get a job until I was 23! :) xx

Hello Aqua, brilliant news today in fact you've a lot to be proud of this week I'm so pleased for you. Enjoy feeling good this weekend . Xx

Ah well I did go back to college as a full time student during my divorce as a full time student back when I was 36 - kids thought ut was quite cool at the time, updated all my IT skills for my AMSPAR (medical secretary diploma) and did AS French too, should have completed the A level I'd started but didn't think I was up to it at the time due to divorce etc - silly me cos i walked a grade A. Did think about OU but needed to get a job to keep the house for the kids and support us all: sliding doors but I did the best job in the world seeing them achieve and working in main hospital in Cornwall I was well placed to see Mum and step dad through chronic illness as well as help set up a brand new service. Life puts you where you need to be hey :) French is a passion of mine which has rubbed off on my daughter. Back in old exams - you'll remember GCSEs and CSEs - I ended up with 9 good grade O levels. I know it's never too late but hubby retires in 4 years, 11.5 years older than me but to look at him you'd never know it and life changes your priorities re what's important in your life hey, which definitely includes family. My state pension age us 66 so I'll be going for a while yet . It was really hard when my parents were chronically ill for so many years and recovery after losing someone from that takes time hey from the physical and emotional toll - missing them is permanent. They would have been so very proud of all four of their grandchildren who are all doing so well - my sister has two daughters. Graduation for my son in September so loads of family photos then and a teary eyed proud mum for sure : D

Well the sun is in Cornwall today and hubby and Becky tidied yesterday so it's a day chilling down on the beach for me today whilst summer peeks it's head out :) off to the beach! To be honest wasn't tidy I'd still just go today and let the dust be and soak in the sun ;) will be there long after my day sometimes you just have to go dance with life.

My Dad did a degree in his 50s - he was 55 when he graduated, just before his first grandchild was born. Yes, I did good old O-Levels, then A-Levels, at school before moving on to Birmingham University in 1980 - gosh, so long ago!! A lot more kids go on to higher education nowadays, it was different when we were that age, wasn't it?

I hope you have a lovely weekend in the Cornish sunshine - I'm looking forward to a self-indulgent few days, especially now Murray is through to the final tomorrow; that's my Sunday afternoon sorted! :) xx

Just been making scotch eggs (1.5 syns each) from the SW lunch book for the beach picnic tomorrow yum yum savoury rice all cooked to add some salad bits with tomorrow :) Planning birds eye baked to perfection salmon in lemon and herb sauce (free on EE) new potatoes and salad when we get back from the beach followed by strawberries for quick after the beach dinner.

Had a twister lolly in the beach today for 4.5 syns - have mini ones in freezer at home which are 2.5 - not had them before and they are seriously tasty.

Great that your Dad did his degree Tracy. I just think of cost now and what would I do with it. I could do French but equally I could brush that up with making the effort to read and develop french vocab with French literature, maybe :) maybe one day. Life has a habit of putting you where you need to be as and when hey.

Geordie thanks re Chris' degree, it's so great that he's done so well :)

Had a lovely day in the beach today and really enjoyed the Malaysian chicken and red pepper curry for dinner - now for a cheeky little drink I think, all counted in. How cool is this diet!

Hey aqua, scotch eggs go you, always remember making them in cookery at school for some reason.
Yes this diet is good. Felt a bit smug yesterday, cos I know what I can eat and enjoyed what I had, without going nuts!
Salmon sounds good, let me know what its like, is it frozen birds eye?
Enjoy the beach, it will be hot, hot, hot. My car said 26.5 degrees yesterday, unheard of in the cold north east lol x

Hi Geordie. I don't think I ever made scotch eggs before - but quite easy - will sample them on the beach today :) sun is shining, not sure if I'll go in the sea though, it was a tad chilly in there yesterday! But another chilled day woop. Well done on your SW day yesterday, sounds like you're having fun this weekend.
