Sharon's Before 50 Plan

Hi Sharon. Working from home today so just having a break and a cuppa, getting weighed at 5. Not hopeful as had a bit of a weekend on the wine but hey ho that's me to a t!! Loved the pics. Had to check your profile to see how much you lost and you have done amazing. No wonder the old gear is hanging off you! Love both new dresses. Not sure how dressy a graduation would be, hubby's was some years ago and I think I wore a suit! ! :)

Fingers crossed for you for later x. I was 18 st 5 when I joined SW Nov 2011 the year my parents died, lost some then lapsed, 17 st 9 when I rejoined in April 2013, last weigh in at SW 15 st 5 - 2 weeks ago as missed last week due to virus - lighter on mine in the am and nude lol. Anyhow 2 st 4 gone this year but three stone from 2011. Never ever want to be that weight again, but heading for at least 12 stone so a long way to go before my 50 th (25/03/14) but what a difference already. Think graduation definitely needs to be smart - but depends on the weather, will keep you posted when I work it out, I love red wine but have been avoiding whole bottles at weekend as I know what I am like, easy to down a load of syns and I need to be good to see the results. Have had large glasses when out etc - love it too much to never have it :)

Love the pictures, Sharon, you're looking fabulous! Hope you're feeling a bit better now. :) xx

Thanks Tracy :). Still a way to go but it's good to see the difference. Much better thank you, will definitely be back to work and normality tomorrow, though a lot to catch up as my work doesn't get covered. Will be good to get back to routines though, horrid viruses hey. Hope all is well your end x

Hello my gorgeous Aqua, you look so slim I can't believe you weigh 15.2 you look tiny. Hope your well, I think I'd still take tomorrow off work just in case you should only go back when you feel 100% xx

I'm pretty good, thanks - just counting off the weeks until my gallbladder op! Sitting here freezing - hasn't it gone nippy?! It has here, anyway! :) xx

Well the whole bottle s of wine are home to roost! I STS so need to stop drinking! Anyway you are doing fantastic. I think smart for the graduation. Are you doing something nice afterwards? I love events like that! Hope you are better for tomorrow x

STS is ok - could be worse x yup there's a champagne reception after, then we're out to dinner so it's going to be a bit naughty, but special occasion. :) not until 16 th though, good until then.

Sounds fab. Didn't think I had posted that last post yet. Busy running about sorting out daughter after dancing lessons!

Made it back to work today - manic does not begin to describe how busy it's been but can only do so much in the hours. Glad to be home tonight. Been good on plan, Breakfast - fruit, yoghurt, honey. Lunch - ryvitas, philli light, ham, banana, muller light and pkt velvet crisps. Dinner jacket potato and chilli which hubby cooked as was in before me :). Menu planning for week ahead ready for shopping. I ordered the attached dress £80 reduced to £24. It looks lovely on, just a teeny but tight in bust but wondering if I get non padded bra in Asda tomorrow if that will help solve it. The dress is a 16 so considering it's great other than that worth keeping - hubby said it doesn't look tight. Wondering if when it's on I'd just get used to it as you do when you wear a v fitted wedding dress hey. Will keep it anyhow as I'm sure it will soon be loose but was wondering re sons graduation. Whatever it's a good quality bargain dress :) and a 16.

Hi Aqua, dress is nice, perfect for sons graduation I reckon. Hope work is less manic tomorrow. Glad your better xx

Thanks both, it actually looks much better than the picture - will have to take a pic sometime :). Luckily with being tall maxi dresses are ideal for me and I love them. Shorter working day for me today which I'm glad of as felt shattered yesterday first day back after virus. Getting up at six every day is tiring and then the commute. Mind Geordie your working day today is soo long, you're going to be shattered later.

Ok I've sorted the bra issue and the dress is now fine :). Tried on some trousers in Asda and boy do sizes vary, some things are big and some too small, ie size 18 trousers slightly too small, 20 too big in the waist. Yet my jeans in new look were 18 from inspire range and are getting loose. The dress is a 16. No good worrying about it just have to find what looks nice and keep to plan as loads still to lose and not spending loads whilst losing weight. Managed to get a pair if khaki shorts from catalogue for £11 YAY. Bargain hunts lol

Feeling a bit better today. Meeting at work tomorrow to discuss our workload pressures, not sure things will improve though. Making chicken New Yorker for dinner with new potatoes, carrots and green beans yum yum :)

Dinner sounds lovely Aqua, I wouldn't worry about the clothes on holiday. Everyone takes too many and you'll probably have your favourites your comfy in and wear them again. How about dome leggings and nice tops? Hope work is good tomorrow and good luck for wi too. Xx

:( ok weighed in, have been good for 2/52 and STS. Will be good around graduation meal and just take it as it comes next week. Still feeling a but under the weather so if I don't feel better next week I may ask to get my thyroid levels checked a bit earlier. Really annoying thing is that in the last month I'm only actually 1 lb down now so bit hacked off but hey ho

Hi. Do you not think that sometimes our bodies just cannot do weight loss quickly? We could do gastric band or lighter life if we wanted to be miserable and do it quick but realistically we have to do it slow and then it will not go back on. You have done amazing.
Also ladies of an older age (me included) dont loose it as quick as those young pup s. My friend joined SW a few months ago with her daughter ( mother 50, daughter 19) and daughter has lost almost twice as much as mam and they are more or less eating the same!!! Dont loose heart xxx

Those darn scales Aqua, happens to us all at some time or another, we just got to keep going as best we can and the results will show, just not as quick as we'd like but they'll show xx

Thanks both x my friend who is older joined the same time as me and got her 3 stone award last night, we're just all different. Still not sure whether to get my bloods done early, been putting down how I've been feeling in myself to virus and work stresses but not sure as feeling quite unwell too. Thank goodness it's Friday hey :). Girlie lunch out planned tomorrow but will stick to SW friendly food. Can but do the time and let it happen hey :)
