Shazzabir CC Journey to 9st!

That's a MASSIVE achievement, especially as you could have just given up, wasn't like you were officially running a half marathon! I take my hat off to you and bow down at your awesomeness!

Wow that is praise, thank you Caroline!! :)

Well my plan for cleaning and ironing is out the window, I am so tired!! Presumably from the run yesterday, so now got feet up and catching up on the Apprentice. The cleaning and ironing can wait until 2moro :)

Ooh I'm liking The Apprentice this year, I had to catch up on it this weekend too.

I have some making up to do. I had pizza and wine last night :-(
Didn't really enjoy it either, so feeling twice as guilty this morning!!
Going out for a run this morning to make up for some of it, then WILL get my cleaning and ironing done. I am not back at work until Thurs, so need to try much harder whilst I am still at home.

Morning!
Hoping to do 4 miles, but guess it depends on my legs. I am due to run Wed as we'll, which is my second main running day, so like to do 7 miles then. If I can do both runs, today and Wed then it will probably pay back for my pizza and wine.
Maybe I should be thinking next time I get the urge for pizza and wine, that payback is to run 11 miles! Might not be so appealing then!!

With all the running that you're doing, I'm sure those extra calories won't have hurt! Did you start all your running with C25K or did you go straight in to the hardcore stuff? lol

Caroline, I started C25k just over a year ago. Must admit running was something I was always hopeless at, it took C25K to change that!

Legs still ached a bit, so did 3 miles of running, 1 mile of walking and 20 mins on my exercise bike. Don't feel quite so guilty now :)

Sounds like a good workout! I just did day 1 of C25K, surprised I made it through lol

Well done Caroline!!! Are you going to work through the program?
Running is one of the best ways to lose weight :)

Yup, that's the plan. I'd never completed anything before Kettleworx and the feeling of having actually finished something for the first time in my life was great. So now I'm feeling stubborn, I want that again with C25K lol

Hi Claire!!
Yes the run was not too bad, only managed to run 3 miles, walked the 4th. Quite pleased though, wasn't sure if it was a bit too soon after Sundays run, but legs actually felt better for it. Hopefully I will be ok to run 2moro still. :)

I have every confidence in you Caroline. Look forward to hearing how your getting on. YOU can so do it!!!
Incidentally running becomes a workout with lots of numbers to record, so you'll be needing a spreadsheet soon. :)

My hubbie wants to take up running, so told him to go to the docs to get checked out. So he went today and found he has very high blood pressure, so he now needs lots of tests on Friday to find out why. He doesn't eat very healthily, so suspect diet and weight are part of the reason.
Anyway to cut a long story short we are having a few new rules in the house:

1- Only alcohol on a Friday / Sat & in moderation
2- Takeaway only 1 per month
3- No adding salt to food
4- Avoid processed foods as much as possible
5- Exercise ( when doc gives him the go ahead).

So may have a grumpy hubby for a while!! Think it will certainly help me not having takeaways, as it is my downfall, otherwise my diet is pretty healthy.

Are you watching Super Skinny v Super Sized? I don't normally watch it so don't know what is normal format but he's talking a lot about the affect the foods they are eating has on the heart and health.

Well done on the run xx

I have seen odd ones, will have a look for it. Thanks Claire x
