D'oh, just realised parents evening and tattoo are both tomorrow. Baby brain! I don't have any tattoos myself, way too needle phobic for that! He has a horrid one on his arm of the grim reaper, that he got done many years ago, and a pattern up his shoulder and neck, a bit like george clooney in dusk till dawn, which I pre-approved ;) what are yours?
 
lol at the needle phobia, nothing like having an injection or blood test - both of which I'm a wimp about. :)

I've got a small unicorn on my upper arm (that was my tester lol), a pretty intricate celtic knot / pentacle on the base of my spine - that I'd like to get re-coloured as it faded out too much. And then a celtic 'band' which has flowers etc in it, at the base of my neck. :)
I love them all but would like a black and blue rose (goth sort of styling) on my other arm, and perhaps a tat on my wrist up the side o my hand - I love the asian tattoos they do with ink / staining and have had a few like that so would like a mini version of that.

We have parents evening tomorrow too..
 
Ugh. Trekked round Costco, and forgot to buy anything. Got distracted! Did the whole parents evening thing, and then came home for dinner. Noticed that my neck was tender on one side, and thought how odd. Looked in the mirror about an hour later and my neck/jawline is all swollen on one side and very sore. So spent the last 2 hours at the walk in centre. Thankfully my GP was up there, and spotted me waiting in the waiting room for ages, and whisked me through ;) So apparently I have an infection around a piercing at the top of my ear, which has come out on the skin a little bit, and tonight my gland on that side has gone ballistic trying to fix it! He said it will get bigger :eek: and has given me antibiotics.

So that's odd. Can't just get a normal ear infection lol, has to be something completely random and bizarre!
 
Hope so too lol. It's got bigger overnight and feels very strange and sore. Feel like a right freak show! Who on earth gets an infection next to a very old unused piercing and then explodes to look like Joseph Merrick? What is wrong with a regular ear infection? I need House.
 
Sounds like a plan Kirsty! sky plus and flapjacks ;) heaven. Actually aside from the general soreness there, and discomfort when I eat, I feel ok, so it could be worse :) Hopefully the antibiotics will do their job quickly.
 
Ooh shell sorry to read this, aren't glands funny things and piercings apparantly. ((Hugs))
Hope your anti-biotics get to work asap and you feel better soon.
Glad you're not off your food though :)
 
Had hospital check up today with my OB consultant, all ok except protein and leucocytes in water. BP ok though and only 1 + of each so no big panic. Bean still head down etc, but not engaged yet although as its my 2nd child that's not unusual.

Have to go back on Tuesday to meet the consultant who is taking over my case while my OB is on holiday, then it's all systems go for the following Monday!
 
wow really not long now then! Great news and hope you get one with your new Ob.

Morning all :) Thanks Irene ;)

I had a miserable day yesterday, hormones really got the better of me and poor hubby just didn't have a clue what to do. I went to Asda in the evening and bought this and this which cheered me up :) Then this morning i went and got hubby a breakfast bap and bought him a fillet steak for his dinner tonight, his favourite, by way of an apology and a thanks for putting up with me.
 
Aww glad you are feeling a bit better ((Hugs)) the clothes are cute! lol I've been so tempted by all the christmas outfits, we have a 'santas little helper' velour suit for bump if she arrives early enough! lol But I've withheld other than this just in case she's late. :)
Hope DH enjoyed his steak.

Thanks :) We always go to the inlaws on boxing day for a couple of nights and I wanted something special for him to wear then. He will have already met most of them but for some it will be the first time!

8 days to go :)
 
That'll be lovely! :D And festive time is lovely especially with a new life to celebrate. x
8 days.. wow!! I've just been marvelling at 35 till my due date.. and 39 till xmas! lol
