Sophie's Slimming World and Cinema critiques!

Didn't have Angel Delight in the end as we were out of it :/ but did have a funsize milkyway bar (+3.5)

WI today -0.5lb, expected more but I'm sure mid week WI will be better :p will have to do it on Weds morn as will be away Thurs. Wish I'd done my WI yesterday instead like I was sooo tempted to- 'went' THREE times on Sat LOL. Ah well.

Dr appointment later to get more inhalers, then some errands to run and food shopping, then might go to Grandma's for tea as it's her birthday and my dad and fam are going over there. Only just found out about this when I texted dad to double check it was her birthday- they weren't going to invite me or something? I live 5 minutes away! They always complain that I don't ever see them and then when they're in town having a get together they forget to invite me :mad: lol

Have been reading about Saudi rules and am nervous as **** now! It sounds like I'm probably going to get arrested, stoned to death or (at very least) chased/yelled abuse at by an angry mob of religious police at some point.
Firstly- women under 40 aren't allowed to go ANYWHERE without the company of their brother/husband/father/close male relative (obvs can't happen :/ erm... yeah). Women aren't allowed to talk to the opposite sex if they are not related. Women must ALWAYS wear a abaya (head to toe black dress thingy) which the company are providing- but tourists don't HAVE to wear a head scarf, but are likely to get yelled abuse at if they don't :/ then- no photographing holy buildings (or you'll get arrested), no pork allowed (doubled checked the Beef Jerky I was going to bring, before realising that it's BEEF, duh), no holding hands, no homosexual behaviour (or you'll be arrested/stoned to death), NO alcohol- prosecuted it found with it! WON'T BE STEALING ANY MINI BOTTLES OFF THE FLIGHT THIS TIME THEN. OMG. I won't be allowed to swim in the hotel pool either- men only. >:/ dang! No sunbathing and no swimming for me. Hmph.

Yeah, it's gonna be weird! I get half a day off before flight home in the eve- no idea what to do that day, worried to go out and about alone if it is like illegal :S

So drained, barely had anything for lunch as low on veg and meat and were in a rush. Am going to make turkey meatballs when I get in from the food shop. Bought a nice stripey boob tube dress today - size 16 woop! And a nice skirt too.

Only popped on breifly but was nice to see her. Love my grandma to bits but I struggle to hold convedsations with her, we are so different and just dont really gel conversationally- she is very concrete where I am quite abstract (as lame as that sounds, is a reference to Myers-briggs personality typing rather than just "i r uniqke" lol) but when I'm back from Saudi I might try and go over there with a dvd and just sort of hang out and have bonding time that way. :)
She is recovering from a shoulder replacement and I feel really guilty for not visiting recently! I'm so damn lazy :/
 
Nearly caved and had a Green day today but really wanted to stick out with the Red before my trip! Am glad I did; have packed some spaghetti Bolognese that I cooked for Gerard in the fridge to take tomorrow for lunch at the airport and have packed my usual travel supplies of mugshots, beef jerky, Alpen Lights, instant porridge, instant cous cous etc (is all cous cous instant? I mean... it says cook for 5 mins but... can you just leave it to set like the sachet stuff?) I might even make some sugar free jelly in the mini fridge LOL

L: Bolognese with HexA1 Cheese, spinach leaves, half a courgette, small handful of sugarsnap peas and a few sprigs of Asparagus (loooads of greens! YEAH!)

D: Baked chicken with spinach and asparagus, grilled cheese on top (HexA2) and some leftover bolognase as a sort of sauce.

Snacks: a few leftover homemade turkey meatballs- they were SO GOOD cold :O tasted like proper swedish ones, YUM.

Haven't had any HexB's as I'll be having probably double/triple/quadruple HexB's on trip. Have lots of syns saved too so am hoping to get some nice homous/flatbread fun in! DROOLING AT THE THOUGHT. Was sososo good last time and SO cheap.

Am all packed and ready to go; have more luggage space this time as I decided to bring the big bulky bag (annoying to drag around but needed to fit my big monopod in it as we're flying with BA :O and they only allow one checked bag) so have more room for food supplies, lol!

Flying at 1pm so will no doubt be miniminsing at the airport all bored and tired! Will do a quickie WI before I go (a day early for Mid-week WI but still)

Found out that I can travel about on my own :O cool. Internet is vague but I emailed the hotel with some questions and asked that too- women have to have permission/be with a male relative to travel outside the country- not just out and about! Phew. So might go to the desert and shoot some random footage for my showreel or go to a souk (market) on my day off before flying home :) yay.
Will also check in when I'm there as the hotel has really good wifi and last time it REALLY helped me stay on track to write what I'd been eating!

Also hope you have a good flight and a good trip. Good to know that you can go out and about without being stoned to death. Jeez, some countries eh?!!!

Hi guys!
-1 today, nearly 1.5 and lost .5 mon so that's nearly 2lbs this week. At 17st 1 now, so close to the 16's!
Felt stupid to WI so soon after Mon but will be good to see the difference from the trip. Feel quite bloated and like I need to poop too, lol.

Waking up at 8.30 nearly killed me, have been on a 3am bedtime routine for a while and last night coulsnt get to sleep despite taking 3 'one a night' nytol pills! I got really panicky while half asleep/dreaming that I would f*ck something up and get into trouble :S it was painful physically too, I kept sort of convulsing or something, body jolting as I got cloae to sleep and had a panicky thought. It was really weird and horrible, I wasnt able to think clearly and it was irrationally stressy :S
Anyway, could have been MUCH worse than 8.30am but I still struggled :/

Went to Dr to get asthma inhalers and stuff and he gave me dianette pill to trial for my PCOS. Will wait until next period though, but hopefully will help with my awkward body hair and weird periods, etc. Dr was impressed by my weight loss! 11kg or something since early March (despite the dodgy 6 week plateau) so felt good about that :D also he said my BMI was 30.something which is less than the wii calculates- sooo close to being out of the obese range, yes!!

Really hope I'm not too exhausted from flights/shooting to do something bwfore flight home. Will be back at 5am so will probably sleep until about 3/4pm so hopefully have time to go to a silk souk and then get some desert footage! Think it'll look really cool on my showreel :D

I'm baaaaack! Got in at 8am but didnt sleep on the flight- just had a 4hr nap to compensate and will try and ride it out until bed time now. So exhausted!
Trip was pretty meh, day off went to waste because on friday's they have gorey public executions where, if stumbled upon, westeners get shoved to the front for 'the best view', and I didnt really fancy that :/ that was near the souks I wanted to visit and the sand dunes that would have made for fun film footage were quite far away and would have been expensive to go film, so basically just hung out tiredly all day and ate houmus!
Anyway, wrote food diary on ipad.each night. Didnt have free wifi until right at the end! Grr. Will paste it over soon, but was pretty good on food front methinks!

Hey guys- loooong food/travel diary below from trip as I had no Internet out there. I'm sure no-one can be ars*d to read it all but I wrote it each day out there so might as well post!

Day 1: 22nd/May (flight day)

B - Nat FF yog, blueberries, banana, splenda
Morning snack - banana
L+D (on flight) - Packed free spag bol, 2 bananas, alpen lights (about 6!! Was sooo hungry), opted for low fat food on flight and had- sandwich (brown bread, not wholemeal, with tomato and 'chickpea pate' LOL? Blates just hummus trying to sound posh), fish with potatoes and carrots and a low fat rice pudding soya desert (will call that HexA)
Sounds like loads but really wasn't, was so famished by 1.30pm when I ate the spag bol as got up at 8 and am used to having lunch a couple of hours after my relatively small breakfasts. Cabin food came around 3pm and sandwich around 7.30pm. Also had a bag of Beef Jerky (1.5 syns)

Drinks - again, tried to keep super hydrated so as not to bloat/constipate like normal as last time I think it was why I successfully lost 3lbs! Had about 8 cups of green tea, 6 cups of water and 2 small diet cokes.

God knows how many syns as the sandwich bread was probably about 10 alone, let alone the 4 extra Alpen light's lol. Was glad that the low fat option didnt have any tempting deserts/crackers etc but it was pretty gross food.

Day 2: Thurs 23/May

Passport control was fine, turns out I hadn't accidentally left any drugs in my purse so didn't face imminent death. They took our fingerprints which was weiiiird, but had no problems.
Got in at midnight, NO FREE INTERNET!? Jeeze! Went to bed at 2am and other than taking a while to fall asleep and waking up briefly a couple of times slept until 2PM :O cool.
Wanted to go to a shop to get some fruit and bits; cloaked up in my full abaya and head scarf gear and head out in the 40 degrees heat. Walked for about half an hour (seriously, that was the 'nearest one' said reception!?) via popping into a mall to see if they had any food shops (nope) only to find it was closed for the hour when I got there, as was EVERY store, for prayer. Apparently this happens 4 times a day!
So I sulkily walked back, sweating my balls off and getting weird looks because (I think) my abaya was made for a 5ft6 person and I had about 6 inches of leg showing! I'd decided to be a rebel and wear my PJ's underneath (the highlight of wearing a full body cloak, surely?) so I was this black ninja with 6 inches of bright pink polkadotted PJ's above my feet. LOL. It made me self conscious, anyway, but again- I didn't get hassled for this so Saudi isn't all as nasty as I expected. A man in the mall even gave me his business card, grinning like a goon. Apparently they think foreigners are 'easy'. Lol!
I forgot to say but on arrival to the hotel (I'd stripped to just a t-shirt and knickers below my abaya a the airport because it was 30 bloody degrees and I'd had England wear on before, and, y'know, when in Rome...) as I got out of the taxi I flashed half my damn naked leg to the door guy- he looked ecstatic and was grinning massively as he brought our bags in and kept grinning at me while we checked in. Figured that's as indecent as flashing my tits in the UK! Can't believe I haven't been flogged here yet, all these slip ups, noob. Haha.

Shooting was dull as hell; filming a royal wedding. It was SO tacky though, had this weird ice/crystal theme with huge cave crystal like shards sprouting out of the ground made of mirror and surrounded with cushioned seats. It was weird, and the reflections meant it was hard to get shots without other camera girls in all the time. There were 7 of us! 4 filming, 3 photographing. I felt like I really didn't need to be there, but at the same time two of the company's sort of chair women were photographing so I had to look busy even when I'd covered everything to death and my back was killing me from wielding a 4kg piece of kit around my neck all evening.
The bride was STUNNING though, wow. She looked like a cross between Cheryl Cole and Eva Longeria- SO pretty. And so damn tiny (very jealous!) and her dress was pretty awesome.

Anyway, wrapped at 3am, finally got to eat dinner then went home.

B- 2pm: Instant Porridge HexB1 (room didnt have a kettle and hotel didn't want to give me one until I said I needed it for my 'medicine' lol?) banana ration was: 1, so saved it and appallingly had no

L- 5pm: Sweet and sour mugshot (free), grilled vegetable cous cous (instant mix- about half- think that's about 1.5 syns), an orange, a banana.

Snacks while filming: alpen light (half HexB2) banana (asked the hotel and they just gave me some- lol? I WALKED ALL THAT WAY FOR NOTHING), apple, a bit more couscous, a couple of naughty sweet canipe nibbles, but maybe about 3 in the 10 hours I was around them, so I feel pretty alright about that!

D- 3.30am :S
It was a buffet so I just sort of piled random stuff on my plate. Didnt go to overboard though and didn't have anything too dodgy :O stuck to fruit for desert, too, despite all the glorious looking puddings! AWWW YEAAAA. Massive resistance high five.
Had mainly rice, sushi, some pasta bake thing and a couple of weird things I didn't have much of. There wasnt much meat but I did have one or two bites of chicken, but I think it was pretty much a green day actually! The sushi was mainly veg. Had a few king prawns too (they were MASSIVE) with some prawny dip, probably a teaspoon. Had a bit of houmus too. MAINLY green; will class the prawns/chicken bite as second half of HexB2! Had a load of pineapple and melon for desert, mmm, AND a kiwi sorbet which was INSIDE a kiwi. I was so enthralled by this. I then went back and got an orange sorbet (INSIDE the orange, with the top back on! So cool hehe) an some other weird spikey fruit one that tasted like mango and lychee :O anwyay, they were tiny, fit less than a scoop in each so, um, yeah, that was my treat for the day :p god knows how many syns.

Stole some rice and chicken for tomorrow (the one bite I did have was gooood so threw away my remaining couscous and nabbed some in the container) and a load of really nice and ripe lychees, cherries, orange melon (SO SWEET AND RIPE) and a couple of nectarines. That's tomorrow sorted for Superfree!

Drinks: two green teas, 1L water, one small diet coke from plane. Should have drank more but it just wasn't very available at the event :S

Not sure what the game plan is for tomorrow but it is 5.30am now (got back at 4.45am) and most of the girls are flying back at 7am! SO glad I didn't opt for that flight :|
Maelynn who I am flying with is being kicked out of her room at 1pm so will be coming into mine (got my own room this time as there was an odd number of us :D woo!) so guess she'll be waking me up in 7.5hrs :/ fun.

Day 3 - 24th/May

Didn't get to sleep until 7am (probably could have taken the 7am flight and just slept on that :S) spent the day sort of lazing about with Maelynn then went for lunch and had some fantastically smooth houmus and the warm chewyy flatbread mmmm. Pretty low key day but was nice to recover a bit.
Managed to bring my rice stash from the wedding on the plane as well as a banana and nectarine- will be good to snack on fruit if I need it but I plan on sleeping if possible! (typing this from flight, about to take off)

B- instant porridge (HexB), lychees, melon, nectarine (all nabbed from the wedding yest- sooo juicy and yum!)
L- Had a few bits of the chicken I had packed (sweet and sour esque, really yum) and some more fruit then headed out for houmus and flat bread with a side salad (which was basically just cucumber and tomato) was probably a whole pot worth of houmus though! And a naan bread sized flat bread, but obviously...flatter. lol
Dinner/Snacks on flight: 2 bananas, two or three alpen lights, nectarine, fruit from the low fat breakfast tray (blood orange and regular orange) and a nibble at the gross chicken they served :S dinner was a sandwich but I just ate the chicken rather than the bread, it was nasty too, really dry. I ate the rest of my rice and a kitkat like thing that came with the dinner (quite small) and had about half a shot of whisky in attempt to help me sleep (didn't!)

Post flight - About to land. Am knackered, didn't sleep on the flight- maybe half an hour broken up, but was kinda counting on 6hrs sleep :/ dang. Train home is going to suck and the jetlag *gulp*

Have been a bit hysterical LOL but not like in a sad way, like hyper from overtiredness? Suddenly had this huge idea to turn the spare room into our lounge and turn our current lounge into a photography studio to both use for shoots but also hire out as a studio! I started manically measuring things to see if the spare room would be big enough for a lounge and trying to map out where furniture would go so we could have space for the studio. We had been talking about putting a studio in for some time but the spare room would have meant quite a small one- but the lounge space would be perfect! I just want to juggle it so there is still a tv and sofa in there so we can still use it as a lounge too sometimes, but also have a separate space to be in when it has been hired. It is pretty awesome that we have a loft bedroom because that would completely give us free space from whoever might shoot downstairs.
Have been earning quite nicely from renting out my steadicam so that has inspired this! Made £240 from it this week! It is only worth like £550 so that is like half it's worth!! It was quite a hassle while I was away- the people kept changing drop off times and poor G had to deal with loads of steadicam drama lol.

anyway, got a bit overexcited about all that studio stuff and have been hopping around like a loon all day. Lol :p

Had a sneaky little WI just now and it's looking like a +1.5! Nooo... Hope I am still retaining water from flight or something, was cockily expecting a -3 like last time hehe. Will do a detox success express style day today methinks, soup and salad with Hex's maybe! Hopefully will have a better number tomorrow on official WI lol. X
 
Feel like sh*t today. Felt so inspired yesterday, felt close to Gerard for the first time in ages (had amazing sex all day) and was feeling just good about everything, the studio idea (which the more I thought about it the more I realised it's a pretty huge commitment in the relationship- to spend thousands of pounds on equipment that if we broke up, he'd have no space for and I'd have converted my flat for nothing... so basically studio = long term commitment) anyway- felt awesome about that and today he's gone and ****ed it up with the formula 1 again.

I woke up and he was watching it, thought I'd stay upstairs and let him get on with it because it's a nice day and I didn't mind hanging out in the room for a bit; but then I got invited to my dad's house for a BBQ (really wanted to talk to my dad about the studio plans as it's his flat and he needs to green light it and check the deeds allow us to run a business in the home like that) and after talking to Gerard I ended up sacrificing that for his f*cking 3 hours of tv- because I don't want to drag him along somewhere he doesn't want to be when he's missing his favourite show. He said we could go after, but then my sister would have left for her plans already, we'd have missed the BBQ etc; he said he could pause the F1 and watch it later, but I already felt guilty at having to drag him away from his show, let alone put up with my family for the day. But the sad thing is- *I* feel guilty about his SHOW, but it doesn't f*cking matter that I want to see my family and discuss this massive turning point in our lives/careers?
He has the car so I otherwise couldn't go- there is a train I could get but dad wouldn't be able to pick me up from the station as he would be eating by then- thus I am left compromising, feeling utterly depressed and ultimately HATING my boyfriend. He knows how much I hate him watching the racing, hate how it controls our weekends every other week for three quarters of the year, and yet he still continues every time to break our agreement and watch it when I'm awake, and EVERY TIME I end up fuirous and my borderline stuff comes out- I get irrationally aggressive, depressed and hysterical and want to just binge drink until I vomit to push it all aside. It's an overreaction, sure, but I can't help it and HE CAN. He can just STICK to our agreement and avoid all of this! But he doesn't, so I end up hating him, wanting to leave him, wanting to smash things, have massive cravings for substance abuse and basically it's breaking our relationship and my sanity, over the formula 1. And he let's it happen... every... f*cking... time.

It is ruining our relationship, and it's happened like 6 times SINCE I told him how much it effects me- 6 times I've exploded and not spoken to him for a day, 6 times we've both felt **** because of it, but like, watching a race in which the track is so narrow cars can't even overtake one another- so more like watching cars drive around a track- outweighs that or something. Cool. I feel really valued in this relationship. Also feels great that I'm paying like £60 a month to have Sky TV (and an extra £10 a month of that is purely to have the f1 channel) which I can barely afford right now; I am literally paying money for my emotional breakdowns, my heightened BPD and the hatred of my partner. Epic fail.

Rant over. Feel better getting it out. I should probably spew this all into my proper diary rather than posting it online for all of your sorry eyes, lol, but... hey.
