Stirky's JUDDD journey!

Yes I was rather amazed at her too! She's swam on her own before but never that much! I thought she wouldn't even manage one, but she did quite a few! Was so pleased with her, esp as she didn't even want to get in at first.

Fri 9th Oct - DD and OW my thighs and bum are killing!

Well the sore thigh and bum that I had earlier today is now really really hurting!!! Had a nice bath earlier to hope it eased it a bit, it didn't! Now I've been sat down a while it really kills to stand up or sit down again, and don't even ask about when I went to the loo just now  Hurt lol! But it seems the legs bums and tums class had a good effect on me lol, I was thinking yesterday I couldn't feel it at all! And yes I am booked in for next week, on a dd too, I AM MAD!!!!

well done on your down day

most likely reason for the aches in the muscles is inadequate stretching
most instructors cut the time down on that

I have been a fitness instructor in a past life
and found that a stretch of at least 20 seconds but up to a min is best as it helps the muscles release the acids build but when they use the glycogen so try to do extra stretches as soon as possible after the session (and I mean in the changing room - or even the corridor is necessary)

have a great UD

Cheers aaleigha, yes we didn't spend long stretching, I did do some before I went in as went on treadmill for 10mins before to warm up a bit, so stretched before that. Did some after as she didn't spend long stretching at all, been doing the davina dvd lately and they spend a good 10mins before and after on stretchs so been using those. But I don't think I did stretch enough.

Well sts this morning. Was half expecting that after starting the gym and with what I ate on Thurs lol!

UD today :)

well a sts is not bad not with starting exercise
dont forget to measure yourself as well - I bet if you do that you will see the inches falling away from you :)

Yes I do measure myself :) Did it the other day, try to about once a month (if I remember lol) it is surprising to see the difference!!!

Wow great day, food and exercise wise. What is stability ball? Never heard of it. It reminds me of one of them women at the circus that runs and balances on the top of a birthing ball lol.

:rotflmao: @ jelly tot

morning stirky!!!

Sounds like u had a fab weekend! i could eat your meals on dd ans uds! the sound amazing heheheh

have a lovely day

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi girlies! Lol Jelly! Yes it is one of those big balls (like the birthing balls I believe) and you do all sorts of exercises with them. Mainly worked on abs, so lots of lying on floor with legs and feet on ball, doing sit ups etc. Also at the end they all knelt on top of the ball and just balanced there! You'd have been in hysterices if you'd seen me and the two other new girls try it, we gave up in the end!! Bloomin impossible if you ask me! We also had to balance across the ball and raise one arm and the oppposite leg, that was funny too!!!

Booked in for next week! Can feel it in my stomach this morning, but at least not hurting like after the legs bums and tums!!!

Yes love the food I can have on this plan Katie :D
