Sunday Weighers... or is it only me?

Wakey wakey!!!

One pound off for me this week :)

Good luck y'all.

Oooooh well done!!!! That's really great, this is a very hard week to lose weight!!

Am having coffee and waking up before weigh in...

Have lost another two pounds this week, which was really unexpected! I did eat really ‘low’ for the first half of the week, drank an awful lot on Thursday (but not much eating), and then didn’t have any big meals on Friday or Saturday. I can’t believe I’ve lost 3 ½ stones, it’s such a good milestone to have achieved in 2010. I am delighted with this loss, it’s really important to me to hang on in there through the holiday season.

For the next two weeks, I am going to carry on with my strategy, which is to eat well as much of the time as possible, but accept there will be some days when I overeat. BUT: I am not going to just give up and have two weeks eating as much as I can. So this week, I have drinks but no more Christmas ‘dos’, so I am going to eat well and healthily at least Monday to Friday evening, have a nice Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and definitely ‘fess up here how I’ve done. I really want to STS over the next two weeks, I would love to lose another pound or two to take me under the next big goal, but that would be a nice bonus for early January. I am so pleased to not be putting on weight, that’s a huge plus for me!

Good luck to everyone - hope you have a great weigh-in!!!

Well done Sausage and Honey!!!

Well done, Why_D that's great!!!

Also, the bodyoptimise site was down for me too this morning, grrrrrr - love recording my weight on Sundays, it's a real ritual for me.

Well aren't we having a bumper week Sunday weighers ! Brilliant job to Why_d, Honey and sausage - losses for everyone so far. That's amazing.

I have also lost 1lb this week (probably a little bit more but like Honey prefer to be conservative if there's any doubt at all). Have been ok this week (not brilliant - I know because I'm keeping a diary !) but when I look at what I didn't have that I wanted and could have had, I have been amazing !!!!

So small steps but in the right direction. Delighted to hear everyone's news.

See you next week.

P.S. Body optimise not working for me either today :-(

Body Optimise not working for me either...

I obviously need to eat more cheesecake and chocolate puddings - I've managed to lose 5.5lb! :D :D :D

In fairness I think that some of that is last weeks that didn't show on the scales. I had a couple of flexi days but stuck to plan the rest of the week and I think making an effort to eat a bit more has paid off!

Good losses for everyone so far - any loss the week before Christmas is a great result.

Got my next target award (at least I will when it's working), also now officially weigh less than my hubby, and made it just under 100kgs which was my hope before Christmas!

well done gail! sparky i'm v jealous! lol

Yay :party0011:congratulations on your first dump Gail :D Have a great time in London tomorrow

 thanks !!! London wasn't great considering the weather but I got there and I got back so that's a bonus !!

Started well with the prawn cocktail and roast beef dinner. The white chocolate and pistachio cheesecake was gorgeous. It was someones birthday so then there was chocolate cake being offered... well, it would have been rude not to wouldn't it.

On the good side, I don't really drink, and was driving anyway, so no wine to contend with.

I've taken the two meals as flexi-syn days, so although I had what I wanted, my mind is saying I am still on plan, so the damage doesn't continue after the event, which is where the real problems can come.

For me, that sounds like a great result. I have had loads of meals out since starting. Some on plan and some not but planned not to be. When I do that, I don't feel guilty about it because I planned it and worked round it and accepted the consequences (of which there actually have been very few I think because I work hard at it the rest of the time). I think from looking at the menu I would have done exactly the same. So well done for accepting what you wanted and getting on with it. :)

*tuts very loudly* The youth of today  There is no excuse for missing WI.

I am going to make a buffet tonight for dinner...a real retro one with things on sticks :D

Ha ha ha ha ha ! You make me laugh. The buffet looked delicious though. :D

Cross posted with Sparky - WELL DONE. That's amazing. I said (before I saw it) that I thought you had done the right thing. I'm absolutely thrilled that paid off.

Well done everyone - Honey, Why_d, Silly Sausage, Gail and Sparky on your losses! Fantastic news considering the time of year and the parties u are all so focussed.

Have lost 2lb this week - very happy after my 1lb gain last week and considering I had a night out and another Christmas meal with work I think I did rather well. I did concentrate on being really good the rest of the week - lots of super speed soup and did lots more exercise this week!

Here's wishing everyone a lovely Christmas and a slimming new year!! Lets see how many of us report next Sunday x x

well done Sarah! i'll happily report next week, but i'm doing the cooking for 9 and it's gonna be a 'jamie's' christmas.. with lots of butter and goose fat so i'm not expecting good things (except the food) lol

Well done Sarah - I'm delighted for you.

I don't know what we're doing for xmas (for various family reasons) but I am intending to mostly stick to SW. There will be things there that I want that might stretch the plan, so I will stick to plan as much as possible but if I'm over my syns and I really want it (particularly home made stuff which won't be there again for a while but not so much bought stuff because I can have that any time) I'll have it. But the rest of the time I will be sticking to it. I've come this far and I'm not falling completely off track just because of xmas. I know how easy it would be for me to slip back into what I was and I'm not prepared to go there.

So, to all the Sunday weighers (and those who look in to check up on us !), Happy Christmas and SEE YOU NEXT SUNDAY/MONDAY (or whenever you can first get to your usual scales) whatever happens.

Gail x

P.S. I'm sure I'll be here before then though !!!

:party0011:wow such fab losses from you all this week! Just goes to show that we can be in control even when temptation is there, whispering on you shoulder like the devil incarnate.

I'll be going to by group as usual next tuesday, as my consultant says, 'those that turn up tend to take stock of any gain, and normally end up gaining less overal than those who take a week off' *fingers crossed that it will work for me too :D *

Have you thought what you are all going to do about next Sunday's weigh in? Will you be doing it as normal or delaying for a day or two?

Hi Smartie,

I will be here next Sunday as usual unless I'm not in my house first thing in the morning in which case I will leave it to the next day that I am.

Good luck for this week and I'm sure that your consultant is right.

Happy Christmas.

Hi Smartie,

I have also just noticed that you slipped under the BMI of 30. I'm not sure I spotted that before (or maybe I did and am reposting the same thing  !!!). That is FANTASTIC. Well done !

I have all intentions of getting weighed as usual next Sunday even though I intend on having treats with it being Christmas. Just want to make sure that no matter what happens I take account. Those mince pies have been whispering in my ear!! I have ignored them so far!

Thanks! I've been just under for quite a few weeks, luckily I got there just before my plateau began. It was a great feeling not to classified as obese anymore, and just fat instead lol :)

I am just hoping that in the new year I will be rejuvenated and the weight will start coming off again. I did lost 4 stone in 26 weeks - but in the last 8 weeks I have lost just a few pounds  Dunno whats going on, but I think it has something to do with a flare up of my PCOS :( But the weight WILL go, and thats a fact :D

Wow! Well done Honey, Why_D, Sparky, Sarah and Gail!:talk017:

Sparky - your post made me scream out loud :D LOL

I have every intention of reporting here on Boxing Day (after I have finished handing out boxes to the servants obviously) If anything, I am expecting a better week next week as I am the designated driver for the weekend

Good luck to those still to WI. Don't be shy :) x
