Sunday Weighers... or is it only me?

Oh and fast forward, I dont know the ins and outs of it, but basically its similar to WW where you are given choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and each one has number of points allocated to it. You can choose what you want from the food lists as long as it doesnt go over your allocated points, but there is no deviation or proper/normal choice allowed. Its supposed to make you appreciated food optimising, whilst giving you a weight loss boost. But the members that go on it all moan about how tough it is because of the restrictions so I am a bit wary

Thanks for the kind wishes and I'm just going to keep plodding along hoping that I don't put on any weight and I'll worry about losing the rest later. I'm going to keep on posting on here though :p

:birthday: Happy 21st Birthday Emma!! :birthday:

She's been stalking me for years, keeps sitting next to me in lectures and everything

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome and yep i am a real life Uni and SW pal of Smarties - We started SW at the same time aswell.

And Smartie who else would you want to sit next to in class other than me :p

I hope everything works out for you OzzieMoz :)

Do I remember you from that other forum, Sum? Smartie had a chum there too. Or maybe she has two chums :D

Talking of Smartie, what is this I have been reading on another thread about you mashing your banana? Apparently you are missing out on all the calories spent chewing it.

At 11 calories and hour, you could chew the banana for 13 days and 6 hours and lose a pound :happy036:

Ahhhhh so thats where I am going wrong :D But I must admit the thought of chewing the same banana for a week makes be feel a bit queasy

And yes, you're right, it is the same stalker that found me on the other forum. Sum is brilliant with curries there's a lentil thing that she does that you would probably like :)

You'd probably lose rather more as you would either have to do some clever manoeuvering to get other food passed the part-chewed banana without swallowing the aforementioned banana or you would have to not eat for 13 days and 6 hours! I think it sounds like a plan! not a good one, but a plan nonetheless!

Moz, are you now Minimins very own Baldrick, who always has a cunning plan :p

Hi everyone,

Hope people are having a good week. Mine has been pretty good so far, three days in. Since I bought my pedometer about two weeks ago, I have completely changed my exercise, and walk all the time! I am trying to get to an average of 8,000 steps a day, and I love it. I feel so energised and alive because of this, even if it wasn't to help me tone and get fit, I think I would say to everyone to do it because of the fantastic effect it has had on my mood. My energy levels are through the roof!

Good week apart from that, eating well and sensibly. I was incredibly hungry yesterday, but I realised that I hadn't drunk any water so I'm thinking that might have been why - I was absolutely ravenous and edgy. So, I'm going to make sure that doesn't happen again today, and see how I feel.

I've been eating loads of vegetables, fruit, salads and salmon and tuna. I feel like my body has changed a lot in the last two weeks, and I feel like I've lost a lot of weight suddenly - my skirts are now inches lower, for instance. So tempted to have a sneaky peak at the scales, but that doesn't really help me. If I've lost a lot I'll get complacent and maybe disappointed on Wednesday, if I haven't lost any I'll get discouraged and think this isn't working. But I am looking forward to Sunday! I really really want to get my next goal, which is to lose 3 lbs and have lost four stones in total. Small goals are definitely the answer, when I think too much about the whole amount that I have to lose I get kind of scared about the amount. It seems un-doable.

Did anyone see the C4 programe on Crash Dieting last night? Goodness me, they seemed to be saying this was a good thing. I'd like a revisit of all three in four months - I bet all three will have regained those losses.

Honey, you sound so positive, and I really hope you get a good result on Sunday :D Maybe it would be worth your while to take some measurements especially as you feel that your body shape is changing quite a lot at the moment.

I didnt see the program, but I am going to see if its available on line. I used to be a crash dieter and once managed to lose a stone in one week  but it went back on the next two weeks as I cant sustain it for obvious reasons lol

Moz, are you now Minimins very own Baldrick, who always has a cunning plan :p

I always can come up with a plan "so cunning, you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel" - sadly, they are generally no better than Baldrick's efforts :rotflmao: so it's usually best to discount them from any debate!

Honey, you do sound so positive. I'm really glad things are going well for you at the moment and I hope you see good results on Sunday!

Yep as Smartie said i'm the same person - and thank you for liking my curries Smartie. I'm cooking a chicken Curry for this weeks taster evening. Planning to do the new recipe i found - If it goes down well i'll post the recipe up for it. Its is 6 syns for the entire thing but i think it tastes soo nice.

Oh wow Honey that sounds really good - Hope you do really well on sunday :)

I like the smell of them - cant blooming eat them tho :(

You can this one as i'm planning to skip adding the Chilli Powder this time especially for you so you can actually eat it this time lol - Its cos i'm just soo nice :p

Hi Sum,

A huge warm welcome to the sunday weighers forum. We don't mind making an exception for you although we might have to boot smartie out to do that (limited space etc etc)...........only joking smartie !!

Ozzie - I love your posts too ! They make me laugh. Hope things are getting a little better/less hectic ??? Have been thinking about you with all the floods and the mil health troubles. Big hugs.

Honey - I completely agree that I have weeks where I tend to lose more 'inches' than weight on the scales. I would probably define it as a 'consolidation' week ! It's good though :)

Anyway, good luck everyone. See you on Sunday :) (which may not be so good for me because I'm out for dinner and drinks on Saturday night....................!)

:eek:Aww thank you to those that posted happy birthday to me :D Sorry I haven't been around to thank you before now!
I had a good day yesterday (was in work on my actual bday) but went so far off plan its almost funny...

Honestly though now that I think about what I ate yesterday I feel a bit sick!
We had Maccy D's for breakfast, nachos at the cinema and then KFC for tea :eek::eek::eek::eek:
How absolutely disgraceful!

But I'm back on plan today, but I know I haven't eaten or drunk enough today as I'm both hungry and thirsty at the moment. Have resisted temptation of getting something from the vending machine for my syns though as I've had so many yesterday I need a few syn free days I reckon.

Glad you had a nice day Elb :D

And sausage, dont think I cant see you trying to beat my score on Magic Awakening :p I'm not at all competitive, but I have just made my high score even higher

Happy belated 21st birthday Emma! Sounds like you had a marvelous time and if you can't have an off day on your birthday when can you. As long as you get back to it you will be fine. Don't want to look back on your 21st and feel like you deprived yourself of having a good time. Lots of superfree soup should get you back on track and lots of fluids.

lol Ozzie moz I am loving your cunning plan you and smartie make me howl!! oh and welcome to sum!

Honey sounds like you are really in the zone really hoping for a good loss for you this week you deserve it! Both you and Gail really help me through with your posts you are both so positive and encouraging.

Well I slipped off my 100% January plan on Monday (1 day so far out of the month isn't bad) and went over my daily syns by having roughly 26. Have been extra good the rest of the week with lots of soup and water so am still hoping for a small loss this week - fingers crossed am so close to hitting 50lbs (only 1.5lbs to go) and 0.5lbs away from my 3 1/2 stone.

Good luck for tomorrow everyone x x x
