yep. that's right shanny. my excess skin on my tummy, only half of it. i can grab the same amount each side but i couldn't do that and take the picture so took the half that i could grab :).

Urgh just had the Maple porridge from K, not nice!!! The flavour was okay but the texture was weird, it was powdery and there was far too much! Wow, that was me saying there was too much food lol.

Urgh no def not ordering the porridge again, but everything else so far has been yummy!

I havent read Beck yet, I'm up to day 14 and I'm going to go have a shower and then I'll read it.

Are you using the minis app? If you are when you type a reply in the top left of the White box you're typing in is a pale blue one with Attachments in it. Type your message then press that box and it gives you the choice of adding a picture from your camera, which you take there and then, or from your library which let's you pick photos you've already taken. See below for step by step pictures. Xx

I've just finished today's section of Beck. Nothing mind blowing just planning meals for tomorrow. But it got me thinking about a couple of things.

By breaking my goals down into 5lb segments as suggested by Beck there are only 7 segments to lose to take me just under my target weight. That suddenly seems a whole lot more doable than 35lbs even though it's the same thing lol. The mind really does play tricks!!! :D

I've also realised that for the first time in almost 18 months I'm feeling like I CAN do this and see it through to the end!! :D I don't know what's changed but thinking ahead to next week, and even next month, I can't see myself wanting to give up, I don't feel full of dread that it's going to take me 2 months or more to get there. I'm fine with that!! I have one planned weekend off. My cousins wedding on the 16th April. It's a weekend away but I will get right back on track!

I don't know whether it's finding these new K products that add a bit more variety which is keeping me motivated or if it's Beck or what it is but I'm not complaining!!!

So that's where my head is at the moment - I really hope it lasts :)

i read the intro and the first 1 1/2 chapters last night. quite a bit relates to me. argh! i often thing i'm a failure if my diet doesn't go well. like this morning. i got on the scales and i have weigh in tomorrow and the scale have actually gone up 1lb. now there's nowhere i have eaten more than 3500 cals let alone that and my 1500 cals that i would have to to put on 1lb so the only answer is water retention but i can't help feeling that i've done this, i've caused this and i'm a looser, a failure. i now need to punish myself by hardly eating anything or trying to do something to get it off asap.

Americans think in pounds, so we think in 5 pound segments. In US Ww you get little stickers or something for every five pounds you lose. (Beck is American.) So, this week "thinking like an American" will be helpful for me. "I lost a pound", not "I lost less than 1/2 a kilo."

I am glad that the book is working so well for you. I am finding it a big help, too. (Still need to do that "water card").

BTW, I like the idea of writing down what you eat (as you are) and I think I'll do that in my diary. I also like how you are not just counting the calories, but the carbohydrates.

@GT -- I feel your pain. I have been pretty good -- not perfect -- re: the diet the past two weeks, but I am only showing a one pound loss on my scales. :( I will see my CDC tomorrow and be weighed by her scales, so today I will push the water (not been great with this) and watch the salt and carbs, as well as, the food/CD.

But, I know what has been missing the past two weeks... the fitness. I have done very little. I hope that I work through Beck's Week 2 to Day 9 and exercise, quickly.

The sun was out here. I hope it comes back, that always helps my mood and motivation.

Morning everyone!!! As I decided with Shanny, Sunday is going to be my official weigh day!! I weighed myself for the first time last Sunday and was 14st 9lb. This Sunday I weigh 14st 5lbs :D

So I've lost 4lbs this week! Despite Tuesdays little deviation. I weighed on Thursday and was 14st 10lbs, so I think I've done really well to pull that back :D but I won't be making a habit of it though. Good start to a nice sunny day!! :D

Oh and that also means I've lost a stone since I restarted in January! And only 2more lbs to go then I'm in the 100s and 1lb to lose and I've hit my 3rd 5lb target! 6 more to go lol.

Sunday is weigh in day, too. There is a Sunday weigh in thread if you are interested.

Congrats on the stone off -- you are just ahead of me in losses! ;)

I had my first Sunday weigh in at 165.4 (n Jan. 2nd) and today I weighed 152.0 -- so, in nearly 2 months I have lost just under a stone. It is going so slowly this time... but it is going.

I think that we both have about the same amount to lose (although on another thread you said that you wanted to lose 35 pounds, but your stats read that you want to lose about 17).

Anyway, I am hoping to be at 138 by April 12 -- which looked very doable when I started. Now, it is looking less likely, but even if I am not there I'll be closer.

Aww wicked sal well done you look at how close you are too the 100's now.
The weightloss journey must carry on now.
Come April you will be needing a pretty frock for your wedding.

I have about 31lbs to lose, I haven't altered my stats to show my recent American gain!! I'm working through that and the 17lbs I had left, so the whole lot added together is now 31lbs or 6 mini goals.

I hope so Shanny!! 6 weeks to go but I'm not going to start predicting how much I could lose etc, just taking it 5lb at a time. :)
