Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Morning

So much for being organised, had a terrible night's sleep and must have switched the alarm off! Slept through my train departure and it's too late now - by the time I got there, I'd have to turn around and come back again. So I'll have to go to the boat show next year :)

It's Ok though, I can look up all the boat builders and contact them online.

Also spoke to the neighbours last night about Shirley. He just laughed it off and said she would do anything for food. He then said they'll try and keep the window open so she can get in - but then left her out all night!

How's everyone today?

Just had a massive grazing day, couldn't stop picking at things...oh well, at least it was all legal :)

And discovered that just two de Bron fruit chews have a quick and debilitating effect:eek::eek:

ooo hope the effects don't last long if it's what I'm thinking it is x

Morning all

Full of the joys of summer here, a lovely blowy day with some sun, just what I like :)

B - bacon and eggs, tea
L - chicken salad leftovers
D - lamb curry
W - 3 litres
E - a walk
A - no

Enjoy the day!

Hello Susie, the boat looks really nice - and 2 moorings - wow!
And jobs coming out of your ears, and a pussy too!
Not managed to catch up with all of your diary so if there is anything I have missed that I need to know please point me in the direction of the posts lol xxxxxx

Welcome back sweetie, amazing what can happen in two weeks, but then you know my life is chaos joined together by a few moments of normality :)

Hiya Susie, shame about the alarm clock but pleased that boat plans progressing generally;)
Xx

Thanks hun, my own fault I guess :)

Well, as I type my first ever batch of oopsie rolls is in the oven - not confident of success, the mixture seemed a bit runny, and I need to use a bigger bowl next time - but they were easier than I thought. Although there's something about separating eggs that makes me hold my breath! :)

Ooh - let me know how that goes. I haven't had the courage to try them yet. But i did get DH to bake me a loaf of flax bread this week - everyone around me eating quantities of bread, toast, croissants...and at least i can have bread/toast and marmite this way!

I bought a beautiful big bowl for mixing things in recently and I left it on my kitchen table while I went to do other things. My cat decided it was hers. Game over. The first cat bowl. I can't argue with her so it is hers. Curled up cat in a bowl.

Need a photo :D

LMAO Leanne how is it that cats constantly out trick us? I agree, pic needed please :)

Katie hun did you give me your flax bread recipe? If so, sorry (!) but could you post again, with carb content?

Ok miracles can happen, the oopsies are cooked and I'll try and post a pic.

LMAO Leanne, cats always outwit us! I agree, pic needed please.

And Katie hun did you post your flax bread recipe?

Right, miracles can happen...

Haven't tried them yet, they seem a bit...spongy - so will leave them for tomorrow. Instead, made some meatballs with feta, which are very scrummy. Squirted with low carb tomato sauce :)

Hi Susie,
It's in the mims sticky but to help - here you go

Flax bread

Dissolve one teaspoon Splenda in 80ml bowl warm (40C) water.
Sprinkle on 1 sachet quick yeast.
Leave for ~10 mins to get bubbly.
Mix 1 cup golden flax meal with 1 teaspoon baking powder.
Beat 3 eggs with 1 tablespoon olive oil.
Add egg mixture to flax and mix well.
Add yeast mixture and mix well.
Put into silicon loaf tin (or other)
Leave for 10 mins to rise a bit.
Cook in microwave for ~5 mins.
When you turn it out, should be more or less dry on the bottom. If
not, I usually microwave upside down for another minute.

Treat as normal loaf of bread ie slice when needed- makes great very filling sandwiches - and lasts me a couple of days. Doesn't have that eggy flavour of mims

Whole loaf is 8-9 net carbs(depending on flax used). I assume it's six servings of two slices. So 1.5 ish a serving maybe
Enjoy :D
