Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Morning all!

Am the first one at work, as usual, so have sneaked in here instead of doing what I'm paid to do :D

Nice day yesterday, got a lot of my project done, but then disaster! I tried to give Orbit her flea spray treatment - which she hated - and then she glowered at me from under the bed/sofa for a few hours, licking it all off, which it says in capitals on the can that they aren't supposed to do, so then I was completely paranoid thinking I'd poisoned her and kept running around the flat after her and shaking her (gently) whenever she tried to curl up for a nap! OMG....she finally let me give her some Dreamies, and then later we had a love in - but what a drama!

I can't be doing with that but I know she does have a few fleas - any suggestions as to alternatives?

B - bacon and eggs, large soya latte
L - chicken and salad
D - pork and cabbage and leek
W - 2 litres
S - Tesco salami sticks
E - walking

Have a good one!

Hi Susie, we always used to use frontline spot on - which was a couple of drops at the back of their neck and seemed to work well.
Only had to do every other month or so

LMAO@Lisa, that's classic - and thanks for the advice ladies, sounds like a much easier way to deal with the problem.

Now I just have to spray the bed, pillows and sofa because I've got a feeling a couple of the little monsters are lurking there...:( Any other suggestions? I've got some Bob Martin furniture spray but read somewhere it's horribly toxic!

I used to get a spray from the vet but haven't needed it since using spot on as it breaks the lifecycle and although eggs may hatch they can't live without the cat. You should be able to get spot on in Tesco.

Dont get the bob martin spot on - its useless apparently. Always get proper one...normal chemists sell frontline now and get it on the back of her neck and she wont lick it off. (ooh reminds me dont buy lillies either the orange pollen can be poisonous to cats).

morning BTW ;)

Morning - and thanks for all the advice! I'll go and get some from the shops at lunchtime.

I have to tell a quick gushy, "ain't she cute" story - in the evenings I'm often on the computer, as you know, and she meows around my feet but isn't a lap cat. I went to the loo, came back and who should be sitting on my computer chair? I picked her up and then she climbed up my front and curled round my neck!

She stayed there for about an hour, changing positions from one side to the other every 5 minutes so I could scratch the other side of her chin. Awwww, so cute :D

awww thats lovely suze :) wait till you get another one...have a foot warmer too x

Right, Frontline and Indorex Household Spray ordered from Amazon - for half the price of Pets at Home! Thanks again guys :)

V - wonder if I should get another one? Be company for Orby - but get the feeling she is rapidly becoming a one woman cat! :D

lol aww but she would have someone to play with :D

Thx babe - home now, about 20 seconds before the rain started phew! :D. Am now on broom alert in case the front patio decides to overflow again because it is bucketing down!

Orbit's not happy, she is really water averse :)

Loved reading your Orby story Susie! :)

What project are you working on? :)

!
Garlic!! I used to put it in Stella's dinners, not once did she have flea, apparently it seeps out thru the pores & fleas hate the smell of it... bit cheaper than anything else. xx

Sounds like an exciting campaign Susie! :)

Morning Susie, must be why I don't have fleas then :D
