Gained half last night which is better than I thought. Then this morning I'm 2 down!!! Rather annoying but I will try to maintain the loss for Fridays WI

Annoying in deed but as you say you're looking at a loss for Friday and the half last night is better than you were expecting xx

Morning all, well I don't want to tempt fate and I'm not too trusting of 'Him Upstairs' so I will say this quietly:

A plumber came out yesterday and thinks he has fixed the problem. The ceiling has STOPPED leaking!!!

Yay!!!! At least that's the cause dealt with.

Well we aren't totally relaxing just yet! We are waiting until after the weekend before we conclude that it is well and truly fixed. We have been waiting and let down for too long to get our hopes up too much.

BUT we have set wheels in motion, we have 2 people coming to give us quotes on the ceiling, the guy who says how much they will give us to repair the ceiling from the insurance is coming out tomorrow. When we know when the ceiling can be done we can then tell Allied when we want our new carpet laid and we can arrange for the new sofas to be delivered! The only stumbling block at the moment is the cost. It will take a week or so for the insurance to stump up then we have to wait for the recovery team to get the rest of our money so we can actually afford to get it done!!! So fingers crossed everyone for swift action

We only went up there for the evening. Had a nice catch up with some friends who live there.

It's Friday! Doesn't mean it's the weekend for me though, I don't have a day off til Thursday but it does mean WI day and 1lb gone. Was hoping for more, I was 2lb down yesterday, but it's ok

Funny thing Jim, I was looking at the check in thing on Facebook and it said there was a 'Horse & Jockey' nearby. I'm sure I remember you saying you drink in a Horse & Jockey and I wondered if it was the same one! We were in an area called Billesley I think

Morning all, I worked all weekend but it wasn't too taxing. I am working through til Thursday now, it's a 9 day stretch and I am starting to get a little tired with the worst 2 days ahead

Never mind, I have a week off to look forward to next week!
