Taz's diary - Need to do this!

Morning all! Well I've STS this week which is ok. I ate out a few times this week and a couple of times I pushed it a bit. I have one more week of work then I am on holiday for a week. Hoping to hit the half stone before we go and with only a lb to lose to do that it shouldn't be too difficult :D I can fit into my work trousers but can't sit down comfortably in them at the moment. I think another 4-5lb will have them fitting nicely :D

That's all for now, off to work soon then I have an appointment with my chiropractor to see about this pain then I have a rehab session straight after! Have a happy Friday!

Well done Taz - hope your day goes well x

Evening Gem! Today was ok, didn't do much in the way of work and my chiropractor appointment was a painful one! Luckily my physio was a bit gentler today :D

Morning all! Well it's Friday so that means WI day. Another lb gone making it half a stone lost now :D We are going away on Sunday for the week so next WI will be next Sunday morning. Have a great week everyone :)

That was probably Tazzi McTaztaz, Australian girl? I've never done Cambridge but I have done SW :D

Good morning! I am back!

Had a fab week away, went to the Lake District stopping off at Blackpool on the way there and back. Obviously I couldn't do too much walking which excluded me from most of what the Lake District is about but we did drive around the area and saw several lakes. We took the steam train to Windermere and went on a 3 hour cruise around the lake which was very nice. We were very lucky with the weather, whilst most people were complaining about the weather we had a lot of sunshine and blue skies! We did also have some rain but that was all at night or early mornings and was completely dried out by the time we were on our way out.

I was quite worried about a week without rehab but I did get some done while we were away, just some of the basic exercises that I didn't need any specific equipment for. I also practiced walking and steps and I am doing ok without my crutch as long as I am careful :D

Obviously the lack of exercise and the holiday diet aren't good for weight loss so I have brought an extra lb back :( I aim to lose that and hopefully another one or 2 by Friday.

Got straight back on it when I got back yesterday. Got home, unpacked, sorted out my gym bag and went to the gym :) No time like the present! Today I am just resting and then the madness resumes tomorrow. I am actually out doing work from tomorrow and doing set hours and longer hours so that may be a bit tough. I have Aquafit booked in for Monday and Wednesday evenings, swimming on Tuesday evening. I only have 2 rehab sessions booked this week and that's Tuesday evening and Friday afternoon. So I am going to the gym first thing tomorrow morning, sometime on Wednesday and on Thursday evening. It's going to be good to see how I can fit my 'activities' around work!

1lb on is not at all bad Taz. Don't overdo it at work - if it gets too much flag it up x

Will do Gem! Going in without a crutch today so that will surprise them! Might just leave one in the car though, just incase ;)

That lb has gone now so back to where I was pre-holiday. Now to start on the business of losing more :D

Evening! Went to work without my crutch today and my boss was very pleased to see me standing/walking unaided! I have a medical on Thursday which should be fine as long as the doctor doesn't want to actually look at my knee as it doesn't look too good. The general opinion of my colleagues today was that, judging by the way I was walking, I'm not well enough to be back on full duties yet! A little bit of a harsh judgement me thinks seeing as it was my first day going solo. I have just over 2 weeks to get walking properly and be get used to it all again. Should be fine :D And I had been to the gym before work too. Off to Aquafit tonight :D

All sounding really positive Taz - good to keep it that way and time will tell if you are ready or not - it has to be right though x

Spent some time walking through moving trains today. Had to take it carefully but it went well!

Don't be too disappointed if they want you to wait a little longer - you are moving the right way but you've only just ditched the crutch x

Well that was interesting! Went to Bupa and saw a doctor I've never seen before - And I have requested that he be the one I see from now on! He was brilliant, knew loads about my condition and talked a lot of sense. He said if I were and older man with knees like mine he would have taken me off safety critical work permanently but as I am a young female, feisty, determined and motivated (his words, not mine!) he saw no reason why I go back to full duties! He gave me some good advice and he was a real breath of fresh air!

Another session at the gym this evening followed by aquafit. Tomorrow I have to see my chiropractor then the physio for rehab. After that I am hanging up my gym bag for the week :D

Good morning! Well it's Friday which means WI day. 1lb off this week, not what I was hoping for but better than nothing. I'm achy today so looking forward to resting and doing nothing tomorrow :)
