Teresa's 2011 diary

Woah !!! Get you with all the planning (mmm lots of ideas for me to pinch too :) ) I too felt different this morning not having the scales looking back at me shouting 'get on weigh yourself... you know you want to!'. I feel more confident now they are away, I think the challenge is about trusting in the plan and to be honest not having the scales there really forces you to trust in the plan.

In a strange way I like getting to the point where we need a weekly shop as its like a fresh start with lots of new ideas.

I'm glad you're starting to feel better being on plan, slowly but surely :)

Your weekend menus are looking good :)

Have had a very sad and trying day today, very emotional in general and have now found out that one of my lovely members died yesterday of a brain tumour :-( she was only 47 and only diagnosed a few months ago so so so sad. I think shocking on many levels but also the fact that she is the same age as me really hits home,

Keep strong. You're right overeating will not help in any way at all. Try to keep strong and you'll feel better for it (I know its easier said than done). I love malt loaf, I've not had it in ages! You're doing so well to have stopped at 2 small slices.

Are you able to keep yourself occupied with food preparation (of sw friendly meals) ? Or are you in work ?

Well I didn't stay strong at all :-(

BUT today i am not punishing myself just back to it and allowing myself up to 5 syns so I don't feel unduly deprived.

I am making myself go to weigh in and will not weigh before i go. I know it is a gain as in the last 2 weigh ins I have not weighed in and have been on the plan about 1/3 of the time.

The scales are staying away!

While unable to run I have decided to look more carefully at speed and superspeed foods trying to eat 5 or more a day and aim for some at least 2/3 meals a day and ALL snacks are going to include speed foods

Todays Plan
Yogurt and strawberries SS (1)

Lunch
chicken and Salad S(2 and 3)

snack (strawberries, plum with cherry yogurt 2 syns)SS (4) S (5)

snack
tomatoes and cucumber with ham (s6 and 7)

Didn't really feel like dinner so just having
42 g red fat cheese and half a melon (ss8)

hi fi bar (heb) and cheese
milk in teas (hea)
2 syns

You've stayed strong on the no SP challenge :) An achievement in itself, its not easy.

Todays a new day and allowing yourself syns is definitely a good plan, to not feel deprived. I think you'll feel better for weighing in, even if its a gain, at least then you'll have a clean slate.

You've got to love a speed food challenge! It does make you think about getting more variety I think. Good luck for your weigh in.

Tomorrow is going to be super busy so must think carefully and plan to eat !!

Breakfast at group after the dreaded weigh in (Hope the gain is less than 3 pounds )
hi fi + melon + yogurt (ss 1)

Lunch
chicken curry (s 2-4)
over spinach and a few egg noodles

snack
raspberries, blackberries and yogurt (ss 5 and 6)

snack 2 yogurt

dinner
fish and veg (ss7 and s 8) **** may change this depending how i feel after group stuck to fish with carrots and swede

hea milk in teas
heb hifi

Good luck for weigh in. Fair enough on the beans front! Good luck with your speed food challenge. I'm having a speedy breakfast today, raspberries and vlf fromage frais, yummy :)
