Teresa's 2011 diary

An on plan day yesterday and in fact i have been on plan since saturday. Writing down in my paper diary since monday and it is making me think. Will be ahuge experiment to have a holiday and keep writing (not necessarily working out syns but just being aware and writing it down) as normally holidays for me are usually food free for alls, until i get to the point where i just can't eat any more :-(

I am going to norfolk for the day tomorrow and i have loads of fruit and yogurt for breakfast/snacks then taking my mum out for afternoon tea but taking a salad to eat in the evening.

Saturday I am catching a train at the crack of down to southampton armed with fruit, yogurt and boiled eggs, meeting my dad at the ferry terminal to go to the isle of wight until tuesday. Meals I have control I will make wise choices meals i do not have control i will enjoy but not feel the need to pig out on .......

I have committed to going to group on wednesday even though i am not back until late tuesday.

I am also taking my running gear as i set a goal of running 50 miles by july 28th and i have 15.5 miles left .

I'm so glad you are on plan :) And sounding so positive too. Wow you have a busy time ahead, but look as if you have some concrete plans to stay on plan, I think going to group on the wednesday will be keeping you on plan beautifully (as sw would say!).

Comitting to making wise choices is the best plan when you are out and about. You cant beat yourself up about things out of your control but you can do the best in each situation. I'm sure you'll have a great week.

I'm so jealous, I love the Isle of Wight :) Have a great time and enjoy yourself!

One busy day over and although not SW friendly I feel in control

breakfast
one muller light
one hard boiled egg

snacks
large box of chopped fruit

afternoon tea (mum booked the place and though they did traditional high teas but they didin't......)
1/3 of a ham sandwich
4 large chips

a slice of victoria sandwich cake
a very large scone with jam AND cream

Now you may wonder why i would feel proud of that day when i am not even counting the syns .....

1) I had planned to have the afternoon tea as an off plan treat so not at all concerned about that
2) I am very bad normally at thinking well tea is off plan so i will eat rubbish for breakfast, or it is a very long car journey alone so I will buy some sweets to keep me alert (lol ... oh how i can convince mysef i need these) but today i ate an OP breakfast and had fruit for snacks in the car ... (snacking while travelling is a bad habit leftover form long car journeys as a child with a big icecream tub of pick and mix to keep us quiet in the back ...)
3) I also packed a egg and potato salad jus tin case i was hungry later
4) I did not feel compelled to eat the salad (because i had missed a meal essentially ....) or have a hi fi bar (or two) because i havent had any healthy bs (even though i am full)

SO all in all a good day.

I still have the salad so that wll be tomorrow's lunch on the train and have loads of fruit to take for breakfast/snacks :)

Back from my little holiday to the isle of wight and had a fantastic time :) Going to run to weigh in this morning but feel quietly confident for a maintain as I made very wise choices while on holiday (but also had a daily treat)

Also ran twice and walked a lot,

Teresa

Hello! Sorry I've not been about much lately. How are you doing ? Wow I'm very impressed with the running and walking, thats brilliant :) To be honest, I find it quite hard going to pizza express, alot of the things there are surprisingly high in syns, but sooooo yummy. We always come away from there feeling very full (probably as we've gone with X amount of tesco vouchers to use up, each time we've gone)! I think you did very well with your choices. Hope your success express days have gone well :) All sounds yummy -I've not had raspberries for a while now..... I'm hoping there'll be a big pile of them reduced in the supermarket, so I can make jam! Last year we bought them when they were down to about 30p a punnet, we bought about 10 at a time :)
