Just popping in to say hello :wavey:. So good to see so many posts but can't keep up with everyone now. Well done on the losses, and hello to new people. I lost a lb this week, haven't had the best couple of weeks, been a bit out of routine but hopefully I'll get my head out of my bum and be more organised... erm.. maybe after the weekend tho :party0016:.

Ria... I literally lol a thte ice cream pics, well done :D. Now go and do a drawing and vent, you've got a real talent there and it would occupy you hands :) Good advice from Rozie and Mandy, gotta love this place :)

PD, good to see you back. I'm sure you'll be back on track before you know it. I keep saying to myself a bad day, week, month is ok cos this is it for me now. I'm not on a diet, SW is how I eat now so there'll be backward steps along the way but I'll just keep plodding on.

Anyways, hope everyone has a great Bank Holiday weekend, shame about the weather but can't have it all I suppose xx

Hi again Sarah! Congrats on your pound off! Don't worry, like Mandy says, if you lose a pound on a bad week, I'm sure you're still in control :)

I'm still giggling about the icecream lol - this is definitely a moment I'll keep with me for a while. I've been drawing loads for the blog lately, and it really does help keep my mind off naughties! So much fun too, but you're too kind lol - I still have a long way to go before I match picasso ;)

Blog link is in my sig :) I post a fair amount of random there lol, but occasionally recipes and other useful bits. I'm only just getting back into it properly, but I'm finding it's really helping me the last few weeks. The more stuff I write and take part in (on here too) the more accountable I feel for everything I do. It makes me take a step back and think before I do something (which is why I came on here to rant earlier, rather than going straight to the freezer. I'm soooo glad I took that step first now.)

Had an unplanned green day today! Enjoyed it too. Have my frozen berries defrosting for the morning Yumm. I really think the trick is in the planning so planned my meals for tomorrow already. I hate bank holidays as it puts my weigh in a day back so it feels like a loooong week!! But another day to make a difference. Going to go for a run tomorrow lunchtime.

Want to thank you all for your lovely comments regarding my ex <3 when I met him at 17 I weighed 4lb less than I do now and he wanted me to get bigger and bigger... So I did. 4 stone on. And now I look back and it was a form of control, he's a hell of a lot older than me and would always ask me to wear things that are very unflattering on a 21 stone 2.5lb woman.. he loved it if I had ppl snigger / look at me. So the fact after 8 years I've finally stuck to it long enough to be almost back at where I was originally is fab for me.Ahhh.. I swear this thread is like therapy!!! :)
 
Morning all! aw im so rubbish at keeping up to date with threads, hope everyone's doing ok! :) bit annoyed with myself at the minute, did shopping yesterday and Ben & jerrys new flavours were on offer and i bought one and then pulled an all-nighter to write an essay and somewhere in there i managed to eat a good amount of that bloody ice cream :( even when i was doing it i was telling myself to stop, but noooo, it's as if there was some magnetic force between the tub, the spoon and my mouth! tut, im so silly! Shouldn't have bought it in the first place, what'd i think would happen?! lol Anyway, it's done now...

On a brighter note, i'm also doing the race for life at the end of may, so absolutely no more Ben & Jerrys, a lot more gym time and also have restarted the 30day shred. Got to day 5 last time and my legs almost detached and ran off because they hated me so much.
 
FBG- remember his comments and use them as motivation for your weight loss :)

WLW- dont buy any ice cream anymore. Simple. If its home, it'll be eaten.. That's what happens with me so unless it's going to be eaten by someone else I don't buy naughty stuff anymore..

You've eaten it now do don't worry, just continue to be really good and you'll be fine x

I'm starving haha... think I'll have some boiled eggs and toast for breakfast, with some fruit. That should sort me out til lunch time!

Hoping for a gym session today... but really, really don't want to go on my own yet. I'll see if my gym buddy can come, and if not, I'll have to try find a sitter and drag OH with me on one of my guest passes :p

Poor claire *hugs* I'm sure you'll be fine hun, just get back on it and plan as best as you can. I hate being sick - some people can't stomach food when they're ill, but i'm the other way around - I have to eat everything in sight! Good luck, I hope you feel better soon. xxx

  • Snacks:Banana,Clementine, Apple, 2 x Alpen Light Bar (HEX B) Milk throughout the day (HEX A)

I'm not going for a run.. my bodys so tired. 16 nights working back to back, 2 nights to go until my night off. Woop. The amount of walking I've done tho I'm hoping it'll show. I might go for a walk tomorrow daytime with my son / Monday morning.

Had an apple for brekkie and just had tagiatelle pasta with courgette, mushrooms and chopped tomatoes. 4 superfree down, yay. Going to have salad for tea from subway, just too tired to cook. Off for a snooze now while my sons at his daddys, so if I get to sleep now I should get an hour to keep me going :) atkeast I'm not working afternoons today too!

I'll pop in while at work later :):)

On the subject of the great Icecream meltathon last night, I posted the link to reddit, as I tend to do for most of my blog posts. One member started up a conversation with me which just goes to show how many people just dont get it.

Yes, I appreciate that, but the fact that I am on a healthy eating plan would probably tell you that I have somewhat of a problem with portion control, don't you think.

Why buy it then? You could have had a small amount and still been under calorie count. I just really hate seeing people waste perfectly good food, ice cream at that.

It's a mixture of mild food addiction and a lack of willpower. When I'm faced with an aisle full of gorgeous looking icecream in the store, and I'm feeling low, I buy it. I try to ignore it and have a few scoops as a treat, and it works for a while, but when I get emotional or stressed, I pig out.
Running the hot water tap over it was a form of catharsis, if you will :)
I don't like wasting good food either, but when I'm in a foul mood, ice cream is not a good food to have around ;)

Sigh.

EDIT: Going to have to make some small adjustments to my plans for tonight - we have friends coming over. Still planning on making burgers but they're bringing cupcakes :/ Will have to estimate syns and go from there, but all should be fine. I barely had any syns yesterday so it works well if I carry them over from there :)

I'm feeling pretty proud tonight! Had another green day, start work in an hour so had my veggie tagiatelle and just had a massive salad sooo superfree as follows;
Apple
Tomatoes
Courgette
Mushrooms
Lettuce
Beetroot
Gherkins
Cucumber
Peppers
Strawberries
Blackberries
Red currants
Cherries

.... Eeek. So proud of myself :)

Syns stand at 9.5 for 2 x meringue and to cover dressing. Still have my heb so after work i ll have a slice of bread with marmite (no spread) and a freddo. Wooohooo.

Feel really pleased I've stuck to it today. Hope this continues over next couple of days and then hopefully weigh in will be fabulous come Tuesday :)
