The diary of a (not so-Little)Sausage

Glad to see I'm not the only one!! I really do eat mainly salads all summer. Can't wait to have some barbecues, too - I can see SW-friendly burgers on the menu! xx

You made me feel so nostalgic talking about the Derbyshire countryside and Abbeydale Road, glad you had a good time.
Lol at your dog though! Labs eh? :D.

Hi Little Sausage, what a naughty doggie and what a fab pic - love the guilt-ridden expression on its face

Your weekend's travels sounds fab.

Ha ha! I love it there - have driven up a number of times to take/pick up my brother from Uni, but have always done the return journey in a day. It was lovely exploring the place! Although I really dislike driving in the centre. I thought London was bad, but it isn't a patch on Sheffield!

That damn dog... I thought I was going to explode when I saw the mess, and what he'd done to my bag! He obviously knew he'd been bad, as he sat there on the other side of the gate (there to keep dogs in/out when needed!) - and when I asked him what he'd done, that's the look I got. You just can't stay angry! x

I know exactly what you mean with the 'expression' thing. My cats used to be exactly the same and I would just melt..... I am sure you will laugh about it - one day lol x

Hey Sausage good luck for your weigh in my lovely! Xxx

0.5lb on tonight. Absolutely gutted.

Chin up Lil Sausage. 0.5lb is nothing. I'm sure that will come off in no time. Particularly if it's * week - it will be gone in a flash. You are doing so well and your food choices looked good over the weekend. Those salads will just help the weight fall off you too. Big hugs.

Gail x

Don't despair - we all have gains occasionally (is this your first?). It will come off next week if you just stick to what you've been doing for the last few weeks.

Hi Sausage, hope you're feeling a bit better today xxxx

Same as. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and carry on being fabulous. It WILL all come good. It's just a blip. I know it feels rubbish when you do have a gain. But I think we all have to accept that even if we were at an ideal weight, it would fluctuate. We only notice because we're obsessives! :) xx

Thanks, guys.
I think I'm just gutted because it's my first gain. And when I have so much to lose, that 0.5lb just feels awful. I know I had a good time in Sheffield, which has no doubt contributed. Like you said, Pinkie, if this was a 'normal' person talking, they wouldn't even notice that half a pound.

So, this week I am right back on it. No slips and no damn burger bun (and I'm sure the vodka, tapas and slice of cake did me no good at all). * week will be well over by the time next WI comes around, so hopefully I can pull it back.

I found out that there is a Zumba class at a local-ish high school that is not part of a gym, so anyone can go. Presuming I get back from work in time on Thursday, I am going to go.

Still feeling blue. I know I should just get over it. Time to pick up and carry on!

Breakfast:
Banana, satsuma, Activia snackpot
2 coffees with skimmed milk (1 syn)

Lunch:
Spinach leaves, tomatoes, cucumber, brown rice, (3.5 syns!!) salad dressing (4 syns)
Muller light

Supper:
Quiche/omelette thing with smoked salmon and cheese on top (HEa)
Shape zero yoghurt
Fibre Plus bar (HEb)

Total syns so far: 8.5

Ha! Thanks Pinkie :)
Yeah, I know, it's not bad. Just a little disappointing, you know?!

Where are you going camping? I LOVE camping! xx

Sausage, I know stepping on the scales and seeing a higher number than before can be like a slap round the face with a wet fish. It's heartbreaking. BUT.... if it's your first gain since January that's enough proof that you're doing brilliantly. If in 3 months time I can look back at my weightloss and only see one gain I will start doing cartwheels again. I'll even film it for you.

You're doing a fantastic job. Stay positive, baby. You're still well on the road to sexpotville.

Zxx

Sexpotville, love it. In our house we call it babeliscious. (or baby lishus as my son calls it).

We might go to Cornwall, I shall see how I feel. It's a long drive for just a few days when you've got to stick a tent up too. All weather dependent though. We try and viva few times a year. Going again for the royal wedding weekend and two weeks planned in August. Am ob call a lot though so hard to get away sometimes. I was hoping to go to Holland this year but cant afford it.
