The ramblings of a Cheeky Pasterfield

So today is my 'normal' day.

My intention is to eat like SW and fill my meals with plenty of Veg. I want to start my 5:2 in the right way so don't want to make my non fasting day simply a reason to eat naughty foods IYKWIM

Good thinking, but you'll have to stay within cals anyhow wont you?

Definitely staying within my calories and I'll be counting it all

My plan is

Breakfast - 30g Porridge with Skimmed milk and 80g blueberries

Lunch - Sainsbury Posh Soup

Dinner - 2 eggs, SW chips and baked beans

Snacks - 80g apple
80g grapes
30g Kettle Crisps

I haven't calculated the calories yet

There's a girl on here who does slimming world as 5:2 think her name is stevie I think and there is a diary - she is on insta too x

She just does 5:2 she doesn't do slimming world days. I follow her diary. Just thought I'd let you know X

Aaww ok thanks x maybe it wAs another person trying it then now I'm confused lol x

Lol I remember Princess Stevie from the SW days and I know E:B has moved over to 5:2. I just know if I'm not disciplined in the right way my normal day will be wasted on cr@p lol :p

It's amazing how that happens though even I have been a bit freddo mad lately nipping that in the bud lol

Yes maybe. Hope you didn't think I was being funny X

No Hun I'm glad because I thought if in the future I have plateua issues I was going to check other diaries and that would have been one of the firsts so I appreciated your info best to have all the facts lol

So Im sitting in work and doing electronic filling. As you can imagine it's not the most mind absorbing job and I started to think about what I am learning from reading the 5:2 book and the experiences i gained yesterday from fasting and in actual fact I've learnt a lot about myself and eating...

1) I eat a 'because it's there' lot of the time - Not having the snacks made me realise how much I eat without the need to. I wasn't hungry just had the urge to eat

2) It's okay to fast - a few years ago I went through a phase of not eating masses of food. I ate to my appetite but it meant I didn't eat lots - the only problem was people kept telling me I was going to get ill...so I ate cos I was scared I was going to get poorly. When in actual fact I was doing right and if I have the odd low calorie day it's okay - I just need to be careful it's not every day

3) I've now reacquainted myself with hunger pangs. I just got used to never feeling hungry or full.

4) I won't eat like a loon after feeling hungry lol

I think the problem people see fasting as a negative :(

I'm just got through the science bit so only just started.

I decided to do the 5:2 simply because this week showed me that I struggle staying on lower cals for a long period of time.

I also watched the recent BBC horizon - Right Diet for you and I'm definitely a constant craver and this diet was recommended

Breakfast and lunch has been eaten...yum yum yum :)

Breakfast - 30g Porridge with Skimmed milk and blueberries (212cals)

Sorry forgot the picture

Lunch 3/4 Covent Garden Potatoe & Leek Soup (i didn't realise it was a double portion in a carton, so stopped when I felt full) with 1 mini pitta bread (293cals)
