Third Time Lucky...!

I'm watching fat fighters of 4od.

The woman has been dieting and exercising for a month and has lost 20lbs!! Amazing!

But, the trainer says recommended weight loss for a month is 8lb. Maybe that is recommended as the most you should lose but if you stick to your diet in the first month then you can deffo lose more than that! I remember my first weeks loss alone was 6lb I think!

I like the show but sometimes they seem like they don't know completely what they are talking about.
 
First of all, your housemates sound like d*cks. You should be glad not to be living with them if they're gonna be like that with you! How silly.

Secondly, well done on staying away from the chocolate. That diet coke won't make you put on weight so you'll be alright lol.

And about that fat fighters, she found out she was skipping meals innit? She said it was accidental, and not on purpose, but that was why she was worried. Also, that trainer said not to have a defecit thats so big like 1200 cals a day. Think they work to it like you eat 1500 cals and then exercise and not eat back exercise calories. I guess it depends on what you believe in. Like there's people on the MFP forums that strongly push not eating as little as 1200 a day and stuff too.
 
I definitely think that you're better off without your housemates but I do understand why it's hard because of how it used to be. Maybe it's worth talking to them about it today?

I'm skiving off uni today (shhh don't tell on me!) so inbetween doing work, I might watch some fat fighters on 4OD.
 
It's gone beyond talking with them really. Luckily I have enough lectures and work a week to keep me out of the house.

Plus, it has meant I haven't been going out! In fact I have been out once since new years eve and that was with friends who came to visit. Its made me appreciate a good night out more and means I don't drink much at all any more. I only drink when I go out so it has been 3 weeks!

I just weighed myself - lost 2lb! I'm now 199lbs! So that is 4 in 4 days I think!

Going to do kettlebells in a minute - in still aching so much tho! It does make you really appreciate the hard work you put in when you can feel it though! I haven't worked out and ached like this in ages!
 
Did you do kettlebells yesterday or the day before? I'm on Wk3 cardio today, I'm scared haha
 
Did you start with Cardio? How did you find Core? I've just done Wk3 Cardio, it definitely gets easier. I measured on the Tuesday before I started (that's my WI day) and I weigh and measure myself again every Tuesday after a week of counting and finishing the week of Kettleworx.
 
At least it's not full fat coke hun, I drink a fair amount of diet coke too hun, I wouldn't worry too much. Well done on resisting the chocolate last night.
Sorry things are so bad with your house mates. I know it's upsetting, but it sounds like your better off without them.

I found cardio really hard. Probably not the best to start on?! Found core easier but still hard! Can feel it working which is great!

Find it a bit annoying that each workout is just repeated a few times but if it works then it works!

I can't wait to measure myself next week!

I'm eating breakfast - bit late! Crumpets with two turkey rashers - bought the rashers cos they were reduced and I have a feeling they may be my saviour! They are lovely and a great alternative to bacon!
 
Cardio is definitely the hardest but I dunno, I think it's best to get that one out of the way first. I know what you mean about Core. I'll warn you though, you'll probably feel it a fair bit tomorrow. But it gets easier and you feel it less as you go on I think, I know I felt it less last week than the week before. I think that even though you're doing each move only a few times, it's to keep you going and because you're doing so many that are working the same areas, they get worked out a lot anyway. It definitely still works!

Have you seen the be good to yourself bacon? It's 18 calories a rasher, I buy that now instead of those turkey rashers because I prefer real bacon!

Just watching the biggest loser - annoys me when they get upset over losing 3 lb! But I suppose, they do work out four times a day so they would want more!

I reckon they should measure them too - I just watched a girl really upset about a 3 lb loss and the trainer saying it might be because she is adding muscle. She said she wants to give up. If they measured too then surely she can see she is losing inches too which will keep them motivated!
 
Sainsburys! It's 10 slices for £1.99, I think. So it's cheaper than those turkey rashers too. I'm sure I've seen in Tesco reduced fat bacon too but it looks like a normal packet so you've got to look carefully for it.

Yeah I know what you mean. But I think if I was on such a strict regime, I'd be a bit disappointed with 3lbs too, I can lose that at home! But like you and her trainer said, there's muscle as well. I agree that they should measure them too. My first week of Kettleworx I only lost 0.75lbs and I was so so disappointed, until I measured and realised I'd lost an inch each from my waist, hips and back so it was worth it. I might have given up if I didn't find that out.
 
BL UK really annoys me. I much prefer the Australian version, seems so much more real and heart felt. I get the impression with the UK version that alot of them don't seem bothered if they are there or not, and are really shocked at how much work they have to do. I just find it really annoying!

Yeah, I think that's why the Aussie version makes me blub! It really is far more real and heart felt. I can't stand the purple team on BL UK! One of them isn't too bad but one of them I just want to slap every time I see her! She reminds me of the kind of girls I went to schools with - rude, full of attitude and a chip on her shoulder the size of New York.
 
I know exactly which one you mean. It's almost like the world owes her a massive favour!! Makes me so angry!
