Tinytootz rant-and-involve-some-food diary

Need some different foods for next week me thinks. So I am considering.....

Roast pork - Saturday :checkmark:
Chili Con Carne - Wednesday?
Chicken wrapped in Bacon - Monday
Beef stew or curry - Wednesday?
Fish - Monday :checkmark:
Pasta bake - Tuesday :checkmark:
Toad in the hole
Turkey goujons :checkmark:
Chicken burgers - Sunday :checkmark:

Basically, I'm getting sick of seeing all this stuff in the freezer, so need to get rid of it! And if I put it in print, I am more likely to remember!

I have to plan food around work. Mondays I get 2 hours off 6:30-8:30, so can do something more complex, Tuesday he cooks, Wednesday I have to cook whilst working, so needs to be kinda simple, Thursdays we have takeaway, Fridays are hit and miss, Saturday and Sunday I am off at tea time, but it's usually naughty few day repair time when it comes to tea!

Just been on a sunbed for the first time in I don't know how many years. I know there's the skin cancer risk, I know. Did 4 minutes, so shall see how I feel. I'm VERY pale skinned, so it might have done something, it might not. Also rang for a hair appointment for today, didn't realise my hairdresser is now mobile! He said what time would you like me to come round, and I was a little confused! He's coming at 3:30, now I'm very nervous about the dog. Eeeek.

Thanks Hun.

Good idea about planning your weeks meals. I do that. Some nice ideas too. Think I'm going to try the chickpea baghis today as dh won't be in for his tea tonight. Either that or else it's pizza night.

Well done on choosing baked spud. That's what I always have. Love it. X

Shame the rest wasn't overly sensible!

Thursday lunch: Jacket potato, beans and cheese - 6 for the cheese, was an EE day :(
Thursday tea: Chicken tikka pieces, salad, boiled rice, Chicken bhuna, 1/4 peshwari naan - 11 & 5

Friday lunch: Chicken nugget happy meal - 14.5
Friday tea: Chicken chow mein - 8

*sigh*

Roast pork for tea tonight, with SW friendly trimmings and yorkshires. Chicken burgers for tea tomorrow night. I'm whole heartedly expecting a gain this week. It's almost as if I have stopped caring. And I do still care, but I can't seem to get my head in the right place. Hence the lack of diary. It's also as if I don't think I am worth the healthy food. I usually have good losses with fish, so I was considering having fish on Monday. But then I think "what's the point? I'm gonna gain"

*sigh*

Just try to focus on free food and free meals and leave the syns alone for a week and see what happens. Give yourself a new challenge but don't give up cos you know what will be the outcome. I have been there so many times before and you end up regretting it. Have a nosy in the recipe section and rustle up some new meals. Ermintrude has a fab diary with some gorgeous recipes in there. Don't give up hun. We're all here for you. x

Cheers. I'm not giving up as such, just already convinced myself I am heading for a gain, so thinking "why bother being good till Tuesday". It'll pass soon. I would try and avoid syns for a week, but I know I would fail at it, then bully myself over it, and go OTT. I'll have my roast pork tonight, then chicken burgers, WM roll and SW chips and salad tomorrow, and fish with plenty of veg on Monday night. Lunches are sensible as I am on my own, so pretty much any syns I have are in the evening, or on Fridays.

Hey, if I gain on Tuesday, I gain. It's not like life stops.

I just ate pizza. I have a crap excuse too! OH gran keeps buying us food, bless her. My freezer is jammed up, and she came over with 2 frozen pizzas and a pack of kievs. Bless her, but the kievs have tomorrows date on them, so I HAVE to freeze them. No room for the pizzas, in a dreadful "f&%k it" mood, and work is winding me up, so the pizza went in the oven, it cooked, and I ate it. Now I feel AMAZINGLY guilty about it. But I chose to do it, so I need to get over it. My slow losses aren't bothering me too much, as I personally am trying to keep regular life going, as if I go at it 100% psycho style, I'll only put it back on. Or perhaps I am once again making up excuses!

I ate the pizza. It tasted nice. Now I just need to get over it (and eat some blueberries and strawberries!)

The roast pork was naff. Seemed to be full of fat, so I ended up eating 3 yorkshires, SW roast potatoes, SW roast parsnips, peas, carrots and leeks. Followed by a Muller light. Back on the wagon as of today. Undecided whether to skip my WI on Tuesday. I am a nightmare for kicking myself too hard over stuff, so a gain might push me over the edge into binge territory.

Day 1: Back on the wagon: 7/8/11 - Greeeen

Bran flakes - HE
Milk - HE

McCain wedges 100g - 3
Tomato and onion leftover sauce

Pasta pack
Muller light with berries (blueberries and strawberries)

Birdseye chicken burger - 7
WM roll - HE
Low fat cheese slice - 1/2 HE
SW chips
Salad (lettuce, gerkin, tomato, red onion)

10 syns used.

Day 2: 8/8/11 - gonna attempt a red day!

*Random breakfast warning!*

WM roll - HE
Lean roast pork
Stuffing - 1.5

Fritatta (eggs, leeks, bacon, spring onion, small amount grated cheese - HE)

Muller light
Apple
Aero mousse - 5

Pollock
Jacket potato - HE
Leeks
Dairylea triangle light - 1/3 HE
Carrots

I usually get good losses on red days, but I find red day lunchtime so tricky, and I often get hungry.

6.5 syn used

:D managed to offload some food on the mother. That's one pizza gone, 2 kievs, 1 ready meal with about 600+ cals in it!, some yoghurts, pot noodles and 2 bottles of full fat pepsi. Most will go to my brother. I get fed up of seeing stuff in the cupboard and freezer all the time, and I can't eat most of them, so better off out the house!

There's still naughty things in the freezer, like steak pie, cherry pie, chicken and bacon lattices, but they can stay there for a bit yet. Oooh, might offload some Fray Bentos too, after I check the date on them. Still feeling soooo guilty about the pizza, I even admitted to OH that all I did yesterday was eat crap, he just smiled. He keeps telling me he thinks I'm beautiful as I am, which is cute, but not exactly motivating! He is cooking again on Tuesday, so I might push for pasta bake :D

I know I can do this, just some days I feel like it is taking a lifetime, so I eat crisps and pizza. There's two girls on my FB who were a lot bigger than me, and in less time, they are roughly where I am now. One got a gastric band, the other is doing LighterLife (I think, it's a meal replacement one). I feel a bit jealous, but I have to keep kicking myself, and telling myself I have chosen the right path for me, and to stop comparing myself to everyone else.

I'm also partially blaming my period. Not had one in ages, then I get one, get really bloated, and crave all the naughty things which, to be fair, I have avoided for ages. Basically, I'd like to blame anything but lack of willpower :)

Good planning and great that you managed to get rid of food. I don't have the freezer prob as my freezer is that frozen up I can hardly fit anything in it. Those two girls - neither of them are eating properly are they? You are eating proper fresh food and on a learning curve for life. Once the lighter life girl comes off that plan - watch out!! It may seem slower doing it this way but long term it's much better. xx

I know, I keep telling myself that. Just a bit of a bummer in a selfish way I guess!

We have two freezers, which amazes me. I'm forever talking about my freezers! One drawer of lollies, one of frozen veg, one of frozen raw meat, one of frozen fruit/ready meals, one of boxed things, and one random one! My fridge is pretty much dedicated to yoghurts at the moment, and leftovers which me and the dog share :)

Me and OH had a great day on Friday (our only day off) so I have a bit more positive head on this week. Just hope I can stick to sensible food. Thanks for giving me the kick when I need it :D

MUST attempt Wii fit this afternoon! Covering holidays at the min, so my freetime is quite limited. Off 1pm-5pm, and in that time I need to:

Walk the dog
Food shop
Take DVD back
Cook and eat lunch
Do some Wii

Not beyond me, but I hate rushing! So will walk the dog first, then do the shopping, then have lunch, then do the Wii if I get time. Could also do with going on a sunbed too, but we shall see. Might squeeze it in after food shopping :D

All done by 4:30 :) Dog walked, DVD dropped off, food shopped for, sunbed done, washing up done, Wii fit done. Now a bit more work, then heading off to pick up a shelving unit at 7pm, then tea, then a bit more work, then sleeeeeep.

Feeling much more positive about food type stuff today, just a shame I won't be rewarded tomorrow on the scales :( oh well!

Well done on getting it all done so efficiently!
Good you're feeling more positive today, I would go for the whole 'well I may as well be naughty all the way til weigh in'... It's much better your way!
