Vanessa's Maintenance blurb...

Sorry for bombarding you's with info but im so excited. It has been confirmed that Judith's spinal cord IS NOT severed! (its C3 and C4 vertebrae that are broken) AND she can feel touch on her fingers although no movement! However it's different nerve systems that deals with touch and movement, so there still huge hope for arm movement in time!

It just keeps getting better :D:D:D xx

Fab news on your sis in law honey xxx

Brilliant news about your Sister in law, that must be such a relief. Fingers crossed that she can start to move her arms soon too.

Well done on your loss this week.

Well ... I've had a DISASTROUS weekend foodwise! Definitely a rewind and delete patch!

I deliberately haven't weighed today but last night, was five pound up even before we went out for an amazing 3 course meal and copious amounts of wine!

Was totally focussed on today being the start of a few days of maintenance to try and counteract! However when Hubby brought me a dozen red roses at 6.30am and a card nestled amongst six little Lindt bunnies ... I caved and ate them all (the bunnies, not the card or flowers lol). I then further compounded the damage and had 2 crumpets with butter and a packet of crisps eeeeeeek! Since then I've been attacking the water and plan to try and just have maintenance meals for the rest of today!!!!!! BAD GIRL lol

B: 6 Lindt tiny bunnies (336cal), 2 crumpets (150cal) with butter (108cal), s&v square crisps (97cal)
L: lipotrim snack bar (204cal) never had the bar b4 but thought I'd try as Emma swears by them!
D: lipotrim chic whip (229cal)

(1124 cal)

Wow Vanessa how romantic is that! It would've been sooooo rude, not to mention ungrateful, not to eat the bunnies!

Tomorrow is another day........x

Ooh I'm not sure! Not had it yet - it calls itself a caramel bar (from the maintenance range). Better bloody well not be like a Lipotrim flapjack - most disgusting thing I've ever tried to eat in my puff.... Urrrghh yuk! Lol x

Ahhh yeah I know the ones your on about. Theyre actually quite nice :)

Just had a nibble of the bar! I likey! Gonna settle down and catch up with DOI and scran the rest! Hope it fills me up tho...

Would you please pass on my husband's phone number to yours???

To be fair we agreed MANY years ago not to buy each other anything except a card on Valentine's day .... why does this have to be the only agreement he remembers and sticks to?? :(

Oh that is frustrating - the things men choose to remember! U can tell them as often as you want, that we want to be proved wrong but they still prove us right!!!! Lol x

Back again!!! Soz I'm being a bit come and go'ish recently but having probs in all directions ... and my heads a bit mashed! Also i am sooo behind on peoples threads, - i did just comment on a thread about bingo wings but it would take me ages and brain power I don't have to catch up on them all. So pls forgive if I don't respond up to now! Will try keep up to date from now on...

Re food ... hmmmm disaster seems to be the word! I have slipped seamlessly back into the binge/strict cycle that I got trapped in after op in October!

So sad and frustrated WW pp didn't seem to work for me cos that seemed the ideal healthy eating direction I wanted/needed/tried to take to break the cycle. I've had a ridiculous few days again - I'm talking whole boxes of after eights, packets of biscuits type ridiculous! No excuses - Terrible bing'ing!

Weight don't know - gonna try not look again till Friday! On Friday morning there i was 1.5lb up on last wk but I cudnt even begin to count what's been in my mouth since then - Chinese aswell as countless choc, biscuits, crisps, mixed grill etc etc!!!

I'm back on 2 maintenance/1 low fat meal today - aiming to stick it for a few days! Gonna try avoiding carbs with meal cos I know when I eat them, I get hungrier! But gonna still have some fruit etc to try keep some natural carbs in intake to try avoid rebound! I don't have much belief I can do it, but hopefully .... Trying to turn thinking to positive!

Sunday 20th Feb
B: maintenance bar; fresh orange (needed to speed absorption of iron supplement)
L: king prawn salad
D: maintenance choc whip and strawberries
S: 1.5 wee satsumas

(715cal)

It happens, don't beat yourself up.....have you tried the myfitnesspal.com site? I know that it's difficult for you to exercise but you could still get an indiction of how many calories you need from day to day, BMR, and then try and stay within that amount. It's really easy to use and if you can't find what you're looking for then you can add stuff to their database yourself.

How's you sister in law doing?

Ah chick! Pick yourself up an get back to it.
Everybody has bad days but nip this in the bud now :)

Keep track of everything you eat don't stray away from us again. Writing it down really does help xxx

Don't beat yourself up my loverly - we all have times like this!

Myfitnesspal doesn't have to be about exercise at all and I should know! It'll just give you an idea of where you need to be calorie AND imho more importantly, nutritionwise as far as your diet's concerned.

***hugs*** xxx
