Vanessa's Maintenance blurb...

Thanks for support folks! I have been recording everything on mfp (indeed I was logging food both there and WW online for a while). It was only Friday and Sat this week that I didn't log on mfp - although I admit I hadn't posted daily menu on here since Tuesday. I def agree with logging - it does focus ur mind somewhat!

Anyway here we go... I stuck to 2 maintenance/1 low fat meal yesterday! Hope to stick it for another 3 days or so, then I'll start gradually increasing it again!

Monday 21 Jan

B1: orange juice
B2: maintenance bar
L: steam chicken and salad
D: maintenance choc whip and strawberries
S: pear, highlights dark hot choc

You will soon get yourself back Vanessa, everyone deserves a treat every now and then, its just when you do it constantly (like we all did in the past) then it becomes a problem.

Aww bless u - u make it sound alright! Altho I think a 'treat' is a bit of an over-generous description - more like completely piggy binge fest lol - didn't even enjoy it! Pure comfort eating without the comfort - I so need to work on that. Knowing the root of my probs, isn't helping me stop it for the moment lol - but I'll get there!

Had a sneaky weigh in this morning - was hitting the dreaded next stone at 12st 0.25lb - I'm deliberately posting this in the hopes it works as motivation! (I was 11st 8 when started WW pro points for maintenance back in Jan) and 11st 10.25 last Friday morning WI. As u know, I did have probs with WW so changed to mfp a few weeks back which was helping (I think) altho I still hope to be able to go back to WW pp at some point for long term maintenance!

Sorry blathering on again - am basically another 4lb up since Friday - eeeeeeek! Am hoping tis a case of quick on quick off and that'll I'll get it back off this week! Will then continue to work on the other couple of pounds......

Too much talking again lol ... Going going gone!
 
Deffo quick on, quick off - it's when you let it go on for weeks (like I did over Christmas :() that it becomes hard to shift!! Perfectly understandable you lost focus for a little while, don't beat yourself up xx

Stick strongly with it for a few days and I am sure that 4lb will soon be gone. We all do it from time to time Vanessa, but you haven't left it go too long, so I am sure you will soon be back in a good routine.
 
Vanessa, I think we can all empathise with how you feel right now. Our relationship with food can be such a bloody rollercoaster. Sometimes it is just easier to go with the flow than fight it. The trick is to get a grip if it in time. You seem to be winning on that front. Hope you get back on track this week.
 
EHHHHH! 4lb gone!!!! Back to same as Friday morning WI

Am thinking TOTM may in part have contributed ... I hadn't factored it in cos I thot it had finished on Thursday (ie day b4 weigh in) but I did bleed again at weekend!

God I need to learn to trust my body more instead of always panicking that a gain is the beginning of slippery slope to Fat-dom!

Ps still hoping to stick to mega-careful menu today and tomorrow but start reintroducing bit more carbs with porridge! Hopefully manage to ensure the 4lb stays off ...

Awww thanks folks! I'm still grinning inanely!

Got a difficult day tomorrow with appointments am and pm at diff hospitals. One is hard enuff to cope with getting there, then lifting wheelchair in and out of car etc - never mind actually negotiating inclines etc to get inside and two in one day - baaaad planning lol.

Am planning on taking a maintenance bar to have with a cuppa when I arrive for 2nd appointment but am aware I may cave and get something at cafe instead - if so will try to stick to ham salad roll but am making no promises lol - I'm not great at being strong when pain drain hits lol...

Exciting news is I'm planning a sweet potato (oooooh carbs) for tomorrow evening! Lol
