I was just thinking of maybe doing Race For Life. It's on 30th June where I live, I'd have no-one to do it with though!

I always get it just under my ribs on my right, funny isn't it! :) Don't worry about doing Race for Life solo, I did that a few years ago and the atmosphere's fab anyway :) xx
 
Ps. 20 min run @ 10.5kph + 10 mins on bike this morning :D
 
30 minutes running, burned 370 calories, my pace improved to 11:53!! Well chuffed! Can't wait to chip away at that! =D

Me and my friend are gonna sign up for the 5k race for life tomorrow :) yaaaaaaaay. Exciting!

Nothing yesterday, but 50 mins at the gym today - 20 min run that nearly killed me, and 30 mins on the bike reading my book - I will wear off yesterday's multiple G&Ts and the very naughty pizza and chicken wings!! :D
 
Yesterday I did half hour of muscle workouts on the Wii fit. I then went for 5k run this morning. I can safely say every part of me is in agony now! Yesterday's Wii fit workout has really stretched muscles I didn't know existed! Amazing :)

No I didn't... :-/ I'm a whimp!! I am still struggling to get through the exhaustion I'm hoping a bit longer and it gets easier?? I am at least pushing through but my legs go like lead after 2 miles. I did so well with 11 minutes for the first mile. But I just got slower after that. Am I expecting too much?? I feel like I shouldn't be exhausted

It sounds like you might be running too fast, could you hold a conversation while you're running at that pace? My legs don't tend to get tired until the last km x

Hmmm I'm not sure!! Perhaps tomorrow on my run I should try talking to myself and see?!! Lol! I'm still in pain from Friday night's muscle work out....that perhaps slowed me down on my run Saturday morning without realising those muscles were already over stretched! I loved it though! As soon as the pain goes I'm back on the Wii doing those exercises again!

Nope have never tried it but everyone seems to rave about it so maybe I should! :D

Haha... try singing to yourself while you're running rather than talking, won't look like a loony then ;) I find I always set off too fast if I run with music, so although it's a bit dull it can be good to run without it as it helps you set your pace around your breathing or another natural sound rather than an artificial beat x
 
Eeep yes music does make me go faster, but I can't imagine trying to run without it!! That scares me. When I do park run in two weeks I probably won't bother with music though so may be converted!!
