100% on plan for two weeks from 18 June

4th October. Wanted to be in the 9s for it. Not going to happen now. Im finding it hard enough to stay in the 10s.

If you're 100% from now you could be? 2lbs a week?

Serious question - how on earth does everyone manage on this diet with any form of social life?
This is my problem, I seem to have something every week or other weekend. It's either engagements (yes, it was mine, so that one was allowed), birthdays, weddings, christenings, you name it, we've been to them recently. All of these functions feature a meal and drinks.
Even if I stick to plan all week, I'm just blowing it come the weekend, then I feel miserable 'cos I can literally put on 4lbs overnight that then takes me all week to shift, only to put back on again the following weekend.
I have nothing else planned now (I hope) until my girls weekend away in 2 weeks. I don't know whether to go all out for the two weeks knowing full well I'll put a chunk back on over the 3 nights or do I just think f##k it and wait till I come back?
I sometimes wish I could just shut myself away for three months solid and just do this.
How do you all manage to do this and also have a social life??

I either didnt go Anne or went with a tetra, drank water and picked at chicken and lettuce when i was out. I got lots of drama from my relatives and just ignored them. Most people stopped commenting when i got to about 25 lbs of a loss.

I was the same as kiwi Anne, didn't go out and when I did I stuck to it. Saying that though it was January, feb and most of march which are always dull months. Deffo harder in the summer and leading up to Christmas.
I'd say do the 2 weeks Anne as no doubt about it you'll be lighter at the end of it.

Kiwi - what's going on, I'm heavier too. I know I ate a few things when I was sick but seriously!!! My hols is a week after yours, I'm determined to be 100% until then to get under goal.

Jo - did you survive the night? X

Total loss - 3 stone 7lb :)

Survived the night!

Just need to get through today and then hide myself away all weekend.

Unfortunately head is worse this morning and I feel rough. Never felt like this before in week 1 but looking back I've always been on hol from work so slept through it.

Anne - When I was successful on plan I just didn't go out full stop. Couple of work lunches I had to go to but just said I was low carbing for my wedding, didn't eat, and all the married women said they'd done the same! Apart from that I still went to cinema etc but only with partner and he's pretty much supportive of the plan. I felt I had a choice to make - go to social events and eat and feel fat and guilty or miss out but feel slim and in control. Some people can handle the temptation and have the best of both but I couldn't.

Thanks for the replies ladies, I suppose I already knew what you were going to say. I'm planning on just doing the best I can for the foreseeable.
I seriously need to just take myself off any social calendars for a 12 week period!

I'm on day 5. Did actually do a 100% day last Saturday but then ate A LOT on Sunday so can't count that!

Anne- its just about priorities. Social stuff will still be there when you come off plan, as will food. You just need to decide what matters more.

Harsh as it sounds, in my opinion if you can't commit to 100% for at least a few weeks this plan is a waste of your time and energy as doing the whole week on and then weekend off just will mean you're losing and gaining the same water weight and a couple of lbs of fat. Depressing, plays utter havoc with hormones and sugar levels, and bad for your body.

If you know you can't avoid social events in the next few months I'd stop torturing yourself - do something like the 5:2 up until Christmas to aim for maintenance as a minimum and then fully commit after Christmas.

The other ladies may disagree, but I think this plan is an all or nothing one (unless using it on and off for maintenance) and you're not giving yourself a fair chance to succeed.

Not intending to be horrible or harsh but I totally know how it feels to keep feeling you're letting yourself down and it makes me sad to think of us all feeling like that.

Completely agree with Jo, it's not the healthiest diet out there, it's a quick win for people who need to lose a lot of weight.

Yeah I agree with Jo too, this is a all or nothig kind of diet. Maybe consider something like 5:2 or WW for a while whilst you have loads planned. That way you can still drink.

I'm starving today!!! Had a shake for breakfast, egg salad for lunch and an atkins bar!!! craving evil foods LOL

Me too Liz.

At this point on day 5 I should have lost the urge to eat but I'm just really struggling and feeling incredibly irritated with the plan.

I'm just seriously wondering why I'm bothering. I like the way I look (though I do look better smaller) and while my BMI still probably sits at 26.5 after the last few days on plan I'm so tall I look OK.

So so grumpy.

Haha jo - I could of written that post. This is so me. BMI now 25, 5.7 tall and perfect size 12 in all the skinny shops!! But for me I want to just get to goal, it's like something I really have to do, just see it once on the scales LOL. Plus worried I'll lose the muscle definition I have started to build!! It's all in your mind. Instantly feel a stone skinnier when on plan as less bloated!!!

Sooo.. Went to tesco, picked up a basket, stood in front of the crisps.. And walked back out again.

And now feeling very irritated that I resisted! What the F is wrong with me??
