Weird isn't it, what we crave? I read that and thought 'Eurgh yuck wine gums' and no doubt you'd feel the same about some stuff I eat!

Thing is, I wouldn't have just eaten crisps, I was planning a full on binge tonight and tomorrow. I think I'll be managing food issues the rest of my life in some shape or form - but I'd rather manage them from a slimmer place.

Yeah I'm the same. Can't just be "normal" and eat one pack of crisps. I'd eat 6 or a huge bag. Would rather none than one bag. Use to Find myself sneakily eating. Not good.

We can do this!!!! X

If I bought a multipack of crisps I'd eat all the packs, regardless of how big.

And yet, a small bar of chocolate is enough. Or half a packet of sweets. I'd never eat a whole cake.

So I'm convinced there's some additive stuff in food that only impacts some of us that triggers dreadful cravings. Sure some people could take or leave crisps but would need a giant family bar of chocolate to feel satisfied, or a whole packet of biscuits. Almost wish crisps didn't exist!

This is so true. Growing up we were never allowed treats, takeaways, sugar basically anything bad as my brother has really bad diabetes. My mum cooked everything from scratch, a treat was a yogurt. He Was diagnosed at like 3 and has 6 injections a day. We weren't allowed anything and I truly believe as does my sister that this has had a negative effect on us as now we over eat them types of foods. This may sound really selfish but my bro can't have it, makes him ill if he does so never does where as I can eat it and love it.

Yeah, adore my mum but she has food issues too, which she got from my grandma.

My grandma gave me and my sister food to express love so from an early age we were bingeing when we were at hers, and my mum being strict with food at home to balance it out probably didn't help.

Children are a way off for me at 25, but when I do have them I hope I don't pass down my issues!

It's so hard. I want a baby ASAP, would have one now if I could but my partner wants to wait till we're married.

How's everyone today? Getting my nails done and have PT session then off to the pub (drinking water only!!) x

Liz, am I right in thinking you're just a lb off goal?! If so I'm very impressed with your commitment to keep going! What's the plan after hitting goal?

Yes I was but had a few days off when I was ill and know I'd have gained like 4lb. Been back on since weds and resisting the urge to weigh in as know I've gained. Going to weigh in weds and really want to be at goal then. I'm going on holiday in 3 weeks so trying to get a bit under goal so have something to play with. Plan wise I'm having a protein shake for breakfast, some kind of salad for lunch (mainly eggs, cottage cheese or meat with leaves) and then something like steak, brocolli and green beans for dinner. Throw in the odd Greek zero yog now and then. Basically the paleo diet so no carbs. Been exercising like 6 days a week too, seeing a personal trainer twice a week. Since seeing her my body fat has gone from 37% to 24%. 31% is the top of the ok range so well happy with that, I'm into the fit range lol.

What you up to today? X

Forgot to add - plan for maintenance is to do the paleo all week and have weekends off. Plus carry on with the exercise.

Hi Anne,

It's called the cave man diet. Basically Atkins without the bad fats. Loads of meat, fish, eggs etc plus veg some fruits. Your not meant to have diary but I still have skimmed milk and a bit of Greek yog now and then. There's loads of info online plus there's a forum on here but soooooo quiet. You should have a look. Xx

Do you find paleo or cambridge easier Liz? Do you get ketosis? And is it still low total calories?

I'm home alone so slept in late and just watching TV and lazing about for the day! Also need to start revision for an exam. Feeling doubtful that'll happen today but at least on cambridge I have a nice clear head and what feels like so much more time without food.

Oh dear me I'm not feeling at all well today :( All nauseous and weak. Don't remember ever previously feeling like this but perhaps its cause I was generally more positive about the plan so ignored it. Yuck :(

Yeah still holding on, deliberately had no food in the house as I knew I wouldn't be bothered to get ready and go out and get food. Feel like utter poo though, headachey and dizzy and fed up. Spoke to partner and he just said to sack it off and get a pizza, but I decided against it on the basis I'd want a load of other food in addition to the pizza and haven't got any in, so no point in feeling unsatisfied!

Hard isn't it, people just don't get it do they. Have you been there all day?

Well done, your body is flipping out going into ketosis that's all it is. I've had different reactions from my body each time.

Went down there at 4 for the footy. Just got back, stayed strong.

Why oh why do we do this lol. X

I think cause I've always felt more positive about sticking to plan I've ignored the horrible side effects.

I know! It makes me so grumpy with myself. I know its not the healthiest mindset, but I just want to be below a BMI of 25 and maintain there with the 5:2 or whatever. I'm so fed up of being here.
