Pants to the gain. Do you know why though?
If you do then just get back on the wagon chica.

Morning Emm - sorry about the gain but I am sure you will quickly take care of it.

Sunny in Glasgow this am after several days that were wet wet wet.

Have a good Tuesday

Another dismal effort... as usual started off full of vim, got my flat all nice and tidy and dusted for my friend coming to visit this afternoon..had a lovely chat and as soon as she left I suddenly hit gloomy doom!! Needless to say my eating went way out of control..more so today than any other...

Ah well.. nothing I can do about it now.. I will get myself into a better frame of mind for tomorrow by writing about what is going on in my mind...always find that helps when it's down in black and white.

See you tomorrow folks!

Hope you all had a good day..

Evening chica - it's hard to keep your eating in control went you get down.
I too find that writing my feelings down - even if only for myself - helps clear my head.
((( Hugs )))

Hi Emm - hope you are feeling a bit better today. The difference in the pictures is huge - well done you.

Thanks Bev. Decided to write it in my blog on here instead. Must admit that even tho' it didn't get any comments I was feeling much better for being able to have a bit of a rant.

Feeling a lot better today thanks Nelli...and thanks for comment on pics.
Showed them to my home help today and she was quite taken aback at the difference.
Btw..in the 16st one I wasn't able to see my feet then altho' I'm not surprised now looking at it! :D

Wednesday 31st July 2013

Up fairly early but then went back to bed as I was still feeling a bit miffed over yesterday's event. Pulled myself together somewhat and then was able to have a chat with my home help who got me seeing things in a different light.
I know I keep saying it but she is such a lovely person and leaves my place all sparkling...

.. often wonder how I managed without her!

Emailed the menu from the hotel in Sheffield to my Ds for their perusal.
Pleased with my added knowledge of online know-how..(just one of my reasons for keep posting pics of myself . :giggle:)

Visit to docs this afternoon as I have had a peculiar lump feeling under my left rib cage which I thought might be a hernia due to gardening sitting down and straining forward but he didn't know what it was and said to go back if it persists. Whilst I was there I asked about something for a rash on my arm which continues to become hot and itchy especially in the evening. Gave me a prescription for some cream but when I went to the chemist next door they said it was unavailable due to manufacturing problems. Went back to reception and the lady went in to see him and he said that "it is available but they haven't got any and they don't want you to go elsewhere - try other places" So off I went trawling round other chemists who said exactly the same thing! Back to docs who again said "yes it is ..try Boots or Hursts" Receptionist was very good and started to phone but by this time it was coming up for 6pm and they were all closing. So she is going to phone round for me in the morning and if there is none she will see the doc again and let me know the results. How bl**dy annoying is that?!!! He apparently said that there isn't anything else that will be effective for my rash..yeh, right!!
So as usual when me dander is up I ate a chunk of the chocolate cheesecake from the fridge but then poured washing up liquid over the rest..
Made an appointment to go for a bra fitting next week..quite nervous about that as my boobs are gross!!
There is a forum started up called "Street Life" which is for this area and others close by. I apprehensively posted a thread about wheelie bins because there are some that are left out on the pavement all the time and look extremely untidy. I reported it to the council who eventually got back to me saying that as it isn't the main public pathway it doesn't matter!!

From my window April 2010.jpg
As you can see the public pathway is across from a green and the bins are just in front of the gardens. (I'm not referring to the ones in the garden next door)
The fact is it has started off a whole torrent of complaints with photos of wheelie bins over flowing and bin men not taking them.. resulting in my being awarded the badge of "Hero".. :giggle: I think that's hilarious...me?! Hero?!!

Apart from that escapade everything was/is going along swimmingly... and swimming happens to be on my agenda tomorrow.

Posted on your blog.

Your view is amazing. The village green looks fantastic.

Thanks for the blog comment..yes I know that I have a rather unhealthy way of over analysing things.. not good! ..But at least nice peeps like yourself help me see that it's not as bad as I feel sometimes.
Actually the pic is not exactly "the village green" it's just part of our road way and opposite a park.

(Hope the map comes up okay)

Can't see any map Emm - but I'm on the dongle not at home at the mo, and pics are a problem.

Morning Emm - what a hassle with the doctor - you'd think he'd have been a little less vague in the first place rather than letting you troop round chemists.

We have neighbours who don't exactly rush to bring in either their bins or the wee brown recycling food buckets. They have an access road over our property and leave them on that which is even more annoying.

Hope you have a good Friday and manage to access the cream.

Am I being daft? I cannot see any bins other than the ones in the garden at the bottom of the picture?

No..not daft at all! The pic shows the path area in front of my garden which those up the other end of this block of flats leave their bins (in front of their garden). I was showing how the main public area is further away as you can see.

I do wonder why he is/was being so adamant about it..
It's surprising to me how many people will not use their food waste bins altho' one man reported having had his bin emptied out by yobs the night before which he then had to stop and clean up the stinking mess before going off to work.

Hope your Friday goes well too Nelli. Lovely and sunny now but rain and storms should be later.

Around here it is the foxes that get into the food bins. We've had a squirrel on our deck recently and although I don't know that it raided the bin but it did have some of my lovely baby tomatoes. I think one of the dogs might have scared it because I haven't seen it recently. There is also a large puddock (toad) living among the bushes along the garden wall and Oscar is very interested in that :).

There has been a lot of regeneration work going on outside the village on a site that once had a steel works, turning it into a "science park", and a ridiculous amount of money has been spent conserving newts ! - we have them running riot in our potting shed and again need to keep the door shut as I think a few of them might have served as between meal snacks for the goldies !

Busy around here

... :rotflmao:..Sorry but had this vision of a lot of unruly newts vandalising the place! Not funny really and it is always surprising how they manage to get loads of money for newts etc. and not for people!
..and when are you not busy missus?!!

Friday 2nd August 2013

Well storm this morning didn't last long and neither did the rain...not enough to dampen the soil.

Had a nice phone call from Sandra who..by seeing her photo on Facebook..is gradually putting the pounds back on. Unfortunately more due to the meds she is having to take for her arthritis which she suffers with a great deal and she very rarely complains about it either...real stalwart!

Last night I just wasn't in the least bit tired at all... about 2.30am I thought I ought to go to bed as my feet had begun to swell somewhat but 10mins in bed and I was up again and spent the night sorting lots of old bills and generally filing stuff away...now have a mound of papers to put thro' the shredder. About 5am had a banana but still no sleep but eventually dozed off for an hour at 10am.
Phone call from surgery to say that doc has given me new script which will be delivered some time today..great... except it turns out to be cream I already have anyway.. :sigh:..after all that hoo-hah.

Swimming today.. great. Was telling the "my dear!"man that I couldn't get a particular item saved to my computer documents and he explained how to do it.. All's forgiven! :D

Another high carbs day..Couldn't resist buying some peanut butter the other day but once it's opened... .. say no more!! I shall confess my downing of 3 slices of toast + thick peanut butter in my calculations.. However, now suffering with acid reflux!!

Breakfast - Banana small 1
Lunch - Bread 1 slice + Butter + B.Beans 100g
Snack - Bread 3 slices + Peanut Butter 30g
Supper - Finn Crisps 2 + Dairylea Cheese triangle 1
