2015 and It's Now or Never!

Saturday 10th August 2013

Up nice and early but feeling quite unwell..couldn't put my finger on anything and thought it may be just being over tired after having several restless nights.
Went out to B&Q to have a look at some tiles for the bathroom as I was contemplating extending the tiles up to the ceiling to hopefully aid in eliminating the damp patches which look so unsightly. Decided against it as I have quite a few other expenses to deal with at the mo' and don't want to start putting stuff on credit cards again.
Got home and felt really unwell so after having a cuppa and 2 digestives laid in bed and went sound off to sleep. That was about 4pm and only just awake (7.30)
So menu rather up the shute and altho' at the mo' it looks okay I am doubting whether I won't be adding more to it especially if I now don't sleep tonight which is quite a possibility.

Breakfast - Bacon 80g + Eggs poached 2
Lunch - Cheese 30g + Bread 1 slice + Tom cupasoup
Snack - Digestive Biscuits 2
Evening - Cheese Triangle 1 + Scan Bran 1
Extra - Milk 180ml

Sunday 11th August 2013

I had a very good night..thanks Bev.
Was debating as to whether to go out for lunch but I am now at that stage where I really need to use up stuff from my freezer. So lots of chores done..how do I manage to get things so untidy?! Glad I don't have anyone else to look after. :d'oh:

Had two bananas that were going mightily black which went nicely into another banana cake. The amount of sugar that is in these recipes is not at all necessary and altho' it said 6oz I put just 2oz in and it was plenty sweet enough...only tried a smidgeon .. well..one has to!

Very pleased that nothing was added to my menu yesterday and today's has gone well too.

Breakfast - Muesli 30g + Milk 45ml
Lunch - Cheese 50g + Salad + S.Cream 20g
Snack - Brazil Nuts 30g + Banana & Walnut Cake (1/4 of slice)
Evening - Salmon Souffle + Mix Veg 100g
Supper - Scan Bran 1 + Cheese Triangle 1
Extra - Milk 180ml + Soya Milk 100ml

Sounds like a good day Emm.
We make mess too and there is only 2 of us! If I was the houseproud sort I'd be cleaning every day.
But I'm not so it gets done as & when it isn't too steaming in the summer.
We live outdoors all the time, just go into the bedroom at night to sleep which I do clean every week.
But the cats shed their blumin' fur everywhere - especially the persian - so I do have to hoover the lounge and dining room occasionally.
One a fortnight seems about right to me !!!!!! :8855:
The 2 spare bedrooms just get totally ignored and only ever look good when we have someone coming to use them.

Never been a houseproud person either myself Bev. In fact I tend to leave things for a couple of days and then have a tidy round and even in the kitchen sometimes...really gets on my nerves to keep washing up one knife and one fork etc.

Not a very happy bunny today as far as weight is concerned..NO loss whatsoever!!

Monday 12th August 2013 contd.

Phone call from my doc this morning with the results of my blood test..apparently I am quite anaemic so must take some iron tablets. He said was I always rather tired?.. Is the Pope Catholic?!! I can drop off to sleep anywhere (Except when I'm supposed to be sleeping. )Asked me about the rash on my arm which I was going to see him about again as today when I got up I could feel it begin to tingle. Went into bathroom and gave my arm a good wash before applying the cream he prescribed and could literally see my arm swelling and going red ..and itch!?!!..anyway I shall be seeing him again on Thursday.

Massage this afternoon which was brill. Really look forward to that but next Monday will be the last one with her for a while as she has to go into hospital for an op. Hope I can get someone else during that time.

Menus a bit off... exaggeration..a lot off!!..Carbs at 134 so far.
May well be a bit askew again tomorrow as I am meeting up with my very good friend for lunch.

Don't think so Bev..more like another gain!

Lovely afternoon with my friend and we both talked ourselves hoarse almost.
Was everso good and just ate half of a sandwich pack altho' I did have something before I went out otherwise I would have been too hungry by 2o'clock.

At last I have mastered using the 5th gear...I always used to find I got quite confused coming out of it as I was worried I would go into too lower gear and damage the gears...

Sent an email to handy Adrian to ask him if he could decorate my bathroom while I am away for a couple of days. I was very surprised and somewhat amused when he replied with a long itinerary of all the places he is going to and things that he will be doing up to Xmas but he could spare the 29th and 30th of this month...anyway I decided to leave it till next year instead...(more spending money for my xmas cruise!)

Breakfast - Allbran 30g + Milk 45ml
Lunch - Crumpet 1 + Cheese 25g
Snack - Egg Mayonnaise Sandwich (half pack)
Evening - Bacon 85g + Eggs poached 2

Hey Emmaline - good to see you are still plodding on - you will get there, you have done well so far. Really good news about your improved blood tests. I'm back on-board now after Oz (and an added week of being piggy). I hope that we can both have a good run of losses for the winter time.

Hi Caroline...lovely to see you back and thanks for the post. I was feeling a bit desponded today but it's cheered me up no end to hear from you.

Yay!!! I am super-excited to be back. Today is my first day of being 'good' and been 100%. Will weigh-in tomorrow to get my base-line and assess the damage :)

Morning Emm - I'll be awol until Sunday, off to do some body magic at the apartment.
So I haven't abandoned you - just missing in action :8855:

Thursday 15th August 2013

Began to panic a bit about booking a table for the family get together so phoned my D in Eire as I knew my other D was there as well.. had forgotten that she said she was going to see to that as one of them is Coeliac so needs a special menu. Then had quite a nice surprise as they are going to pick me up in the morning of the 22nd and take me out to lunch which will be great as I won't have to be mooching about on my own all day.
Saw doc this afternoon who went thro' my various complaints but didn't get anything right... I do wonder why they don't read the notes first.

Not going to record any of my menu as I am not trying to diet properly at the mo'. As long as I can keep a reasonable check on things I will go with that.

Hope the WI will be a good one... as long as you enjoyed your visit nothing is too much.

Thanks - at least I know the worst now and can start moving downwards again.
Sounds like you will have a great time with your family. Quite right to not diet too hard all the time. Maintaining is a success story all of its own.

Friday 16th August 2013

Felt really awful this morning..could hardly walk with the pain in my back but I know it's because I am starting to get quite nervous about my trip next week. Silly really but I do find these days it doesn't take much for me to get nervous.
Went out and had my nails done to take my mind off things altho' it was quite an effort.
Nails now look great and it did have the desired effect so back has eased up now considerably.
Called in to Tesco for a few things and stopped for a cuppa and a toasted teacake.. delish.

Sorry about your back :(. I'm glad your day improved :)

Thanks Caroline.

Just at the mo' I am more than a little infuriated with the fact that having posted a response on a conversation type thread to the somewhat overt testimonial by the previous person I then find I am being classed as the guilty person for having posted a similar statement in retaliation...Yes, not quite the proper response but having apologised for that I continued to be the one to carry the can..and then one of these people decided to add some very patronising advice. I am restraining myself from telling her what a stupid mare she is but think it far better to leave them to their feelings of superiority.
The fact is that if they had bothered to read the previous 2-3 comments they would have understood what the conversation was actually about...something that I find so many people on this forum fail to do.

Poor you I hope you feel better soon. Nothing worse than feeling irritated at someone you can't speak to in person. It leaves you feeling a bit impotent.
